I just stumbled upon your podcast and am enjoying the first 5:26 minutes! lol I wanted to jump in and tell you my favorite author who has only written 2 memoirs and a fiction story. BUT . . . . her writing is absolutely amazing--her description, her true life events depicted incredibly by the way she puts words together--Susan Richards. Start with "Chosen by a Horse." I have her books in audio and I listen to them again and again so I can be re-delighted over and over with her style, writing talent and how her life evolved and she became much more whole, etc. OK. Now I will finish your podcast! lol

Both of these are excellent audible.
A Lovely War by Julie Berry. This is world War 1 and 2 told in the eyes of the mythical Greek gods. Don't knock it. Even my friends dad couldn't wait to hear more on a road trip they did listening to it. It is a tiny but "aphrodite" in the beginning but I don't do open door romance and I don't remember it being terrible. It was recommended in a homeschool mom group lol
A Place to Hang the Moon by Kate Albus. It's a teen book but I tune in every time my daughter is listening to it around the house.

Hi Emily, I just received my very first order from you & I am so, so happy. I stocked up on DK for socks and can't wait to get started knitting.
If you enjoy the Shetland series and the new Matthew Venn books you might want to check out the Vera series by Ann Cleeves. I am an Audible reader and love a good murder mystery, suspense or police procedural. Lately I have been delving into some Icelandic mystery series by Arnaldur Indridason and Ragnar Jonasson. They are very dark but keep me fully engaged and excited about the next page.
