Damn straight...I tape everything, practice, rehearsal, review video. Painful at moments but an unforgiving learning tool. Watching concert video is great. I learned a helluva lot for playing country with a lot of players onstage by watching Mickey Raphael with willie...when he lays out when he steps up,how he watches and listens.
Thank you Ronnie for this video. It is actually brilliant. I think it is much more valuable that most will realize, but will realize when they are ready for it. It is all a process, a learning process, and just as life.... being aware in the moment is huge.... much easier said than done. lol.... also being quite the learning experience. Most important is that both life and learning harmonica is enjoyable, and loving to play the harmonica. I have realized that the better you get, the more you enjoy it... So, thank you Ronnie, for all your wonderful teaching and wisdom!!! 🙏😊💖
You are a natural teacher man. What I really appreciated was my inquiry into Gary Primmich's "Mr. Lucky" and you made a video. You followed up too. Amazing Ronnie.
I used the voice memo feature on my phone for years. Any device will work and is better than nothing. That said, the higher the quality of the recording, the more detail you'll be able to hear in your playing which will help. There are external mics you can find now that will plug into your smartphone to help with this.
Thanks for tuning in to these discussions while I recover. More harmonica heavy videos coming soon!!

If you benefit from Ronnie's videos, you should think about supporting him! I did and I'm glad I did.

I find less is more, you can get more out of a long drawn bend than alot of fancy runs.of course depending on the song.
Get better soon
What if you have no way to record well?
