- Blackpoint Marina boat ramps in Miami have been hot. The hotter the sun gets the crazier everything becomes. The Chit Show today brings you manatees tan lines and most of all boats. My name is Alfred Montaner host of the boat ramp commentary channel "Chit Show".
Not many boat fails today but definitely interesting content. If you like boats and expecially center consoles you've definitely found the place.

Please y'all don't mess with the manatees! Federal laws prohibit hunting, capturing, killing, or harassing these animals. These laws include the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972 and the Endangered Species Act of 1973. Penalties for breaking these federal laws could include a year in prison and a fine up to $20,000
In fairness, the manatee was "harassing" the boaters. ....beggin' ass manatee. 😆
No seriously don't touch the majestic animals of our water. It's more harmful for them than good, and if you do it's just you being selfish instead of looking out for the best interest of the animals.

I was greatly sadden to read that Snooty had passed due to human error. I had long visited him at the Bradenton Bishop Museum of Science and Nature even back when black n white pictures were a thing and he was housed in a shallow, glorified bath tub. Back then I learned of the horrific damage a boat can do to these magnificent creatures. Grandpa had a boat in the Bayshore Garden's marina, though I only remember it through a single photo. Watching your videos is like being back there again, thanks for the memories!

My father in law used to keep his boat at the marina. I don't remember the slip number but I believe it was the slip just behind that fly bridge with the green float pad backed in 3rd from the right. Ironically his boat was very similar to that house boat with the green canvas. Anyone that has been going tot he marina for years would know the boat. 38ft Holiday Mansion house boat with triple Yamaha 250's. My wife and I would meet them at the marina and take it out. Sometimes he would go anchor off Elliot and my wife and I would run our Scarab 302 down from Ft Lauderdale and raft up for a night or two. Lots of fun. He was getting to old to climb around it and work on it so he sold it about 5-6 years ago.

Someday would you please do a segment on the Haulover charter boats and include the Lady Mitchell. The original captain was my Mom. I'm watching from Acworth GA.i grew up body surfing on what is now the nude beach now. Maybe I'll see you in June when Miami Norland has their 50th reunion. Keep up the great videos.

I remember going out on the old Mystery with Captain Dick, in 5th grade I worked on the old PT109, aka the original Hurricane out of Little River South Carolina getting $2.00 a week from each mate. I also went out on her when she was at the Haulover. I also fished on the old Popeye. I bet you are so young that you don't remember or know of those boats. I left Miami in 1972 to serve 20 years in the Air Force, so the people at the boat docks probably don't know me. At any rate, keep up the great work. I enjoy watching you feature my old stomping grounds and look forward to meeting you on Saturday, June 22nd or 23rd. It will be Saturday.
