Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 чер 2019
- Here is a look at how I make cold process soap using the Secret Feather Swirl Technique. In this video, I make two different batches using the same technique. I also make two different tops on each batch. Vote on which top you like the best. Stick around until the end of the video for the “What I Learned” section, as I learned a lot on this one. Scroll down for recipe and supplies.

I am a designer and one of the first things I was taught is that odd numbers are far more interesting to the eye than even numbers. I always design in 3’s, 5’s and 7’s.
That second bar was just pure perfection. So beautiful 💜
Your techniques are so clean, and you definitely know what you're doing!
I love how you experiment with techniques and show us the results, it's great because it really makes you think about soap and how it behaves and reacts
Totally in love with the second set of bars ... beautiful!
Beautiful! Those are so nice and the black and white are just classic.
It's funny I found katie through you and then she did a video mentioning so so full circle soap joy! you both have me hooked
So exciting! 💖✨
It's the same for me. :)
Some! Haha
Same here too🙋🏻♀️
you and royalty soaps are my favorite soap sisters on youtube
so truly i love the shoutouts to one another.
Aww...thanks so much!
Lol I always wondered why you angled the ruler, smart idea! Great video as always. Thank you for sharing 💖
Thank you Emily! You can use that trick to divide anything into equal parts. If something is 6.375 inches and you want to divide it into 3 equal parts, use centimeters (because they are smaller increments), pick a number that is divisible by 3 that is just a bit bigger than 6.375 inches. If it is 24 cm, slant the ruler and divide by 3 and mark every 8 cm.
🤯 Thanks so much! I just made my first batch of soap last night and I will try the slanty ruler trick when I unmold tomorrow!
@@TreeMarieSoapworks hahahhaa my eyes glazed over and I thought "magical math mumbo jumbo" then I watch the beauty happening and think "ahhhh artistry" LOLOLOL I have a lot of respect for artists who choose a medium that requires weights, measurements, temperature, and timing. I know that so many artists are learning from you. TFS
Oh my gosh. The first batch was pretty but the second batch, STUNNING!! 😍😍 I love that top and the swirl is beautiful!! Love the color combo too. 😍 much love to you!

@@TreeMarieSoapworks Thanks for the inspiration. I have just made a soap using this pattern. It didn't workout quite how I had expected as my fragrance discoloured my mixture but love the design in general. I have made a video of this that I am just uploading now on my other channel...Mayne Street Soap
Thank you for this video. Katie was right you are awesome. I like the bottles.
Thank you Linda! 💕

I want to try the teardrop technique, but I did not dare yet. I've been watching your video every day before bedtime for three weeks. I appreciate you taking the time to share these videos and share them for free. I think I should make the right teardrop before the technique in this video, but these leaves were great too. Thank you so much.
Have you tried it yet?
I absolutely love your channel, I am a new soaper, I love experimenting
i love your videos. You have such a nice speaking voice. Keep them coming. I am a beginner, and only do melt and pour right now. I like to watch to get ideas that I might be able to do. Thank you so much.

Thank you, Robin!
After watching this video I actually attempted to make this on your Facebook page I do apologize for my appearance it was early in the morning and the kids were homeschooling it didn’t come out as beautiful as yours however I have to say considering I just watched a quick tutorial had I remembered which way to turn my hanger it probably would’ve come out almost as good as yours thank you so much for continuously teaching me wonderful things and I love how you work so meticulously
I really appreciate that! I am so glad you are learning!
You, Katie and Dean are my favorite soap makers. ❤️ beautiful design on this one. ❤️
Aww..thank you so much! Dean and Katie are great! 💖✨
Who is Dean?
Браво! Очень красиво! 😍 Bravo! 👏👏👏
Very elegant! I love the top on the second one. I doubt I'll ever have the patience that you have to make a soap similar to this.
Thanks so much, Carolyn!
The second batch design results reminds me of a Hannukah menorah. Beautiful!
I like the swirled top!
Excellent, very modern and crisp.
Thank you Alana! 🍃
love how they turned out, both of them look fab to me ;-)
Thanks so much!
Oh my gosh, this episode was so validating. I've been soap making for about two years now, and I recently started trying to build a recipe from scratch. After researching a TON of oils and fatty acid properties, I decided on Olive, Coconut, Palm (sustainable of course), Castor, Avocado, and, you guessed it, Cocoa Butter! As you were adding your oils I was like, oh my gosh, I'm on the right track! My percentages are slightly different because I have really dry skin in the winter, so I like a bit more conditioning, but this made me really happy seeing a professional soap maker choose the same oils!
Good to hear! If you like that formula, try the Honey Video recipe. That recipe is my favorite right now! It has an abundant creamy lather. ua-cam.com/video/eGA3OmG7c3Y/v-deo.html
Breathtaking!!! Love it.
Thank you so much Joy! 💕
You are very talented. Keep up the good work.

@@TreeMarieSoapworks Did I ask you if you would be interested in doing a huge You Tube Collaboration yet? If you have any interest, please let me know, its super fun and there are SO many creators that have joined in. You can contact me at soapsforlove@gmail.com I really hope that you do.
@@soapsforlove4168 You did ask. I am not interested right now. I am so swamped with work. What kind of a collaboration is it?
@@TreeMarieSoapworks A fall collab. Everyone is going to be making soap for the fall anyway so I thought it would be appropriate. No money involved, just make a video like you normally would with a few little things that everyone has to do to make it a collaboration. It wouldn't be due until Sept 1st. SO there is plenty of time. I can go more into detail in an email though. If not, there will be another one after this one. Keep it in mind.
Hermoso❤ felicidades
Admiró tu trabajo.
Diseños divinos.
Thank you so much! 💝
Hi Teri ❤
Wow they are gorgeous 💖🌸 such a beautiful art and technique 💖🌸amazing dear. I loved them both 💖💖

I want to thank you for the mention of Saponification Nation in one of your video notes. I joined and love the group - ideas and creativity abound! 😍
So glad! It is a wonderful supportive group! 💕
