Hi Teri! OK - well it took me 4 batches but finally did it! Only thing I did incorrectly, was when pulling my chopstick to make final Chevron design, I went from top to bottom, top to bottom, etc. and now see I should’ve done that step every other one top to bottom, then bottom to top and so on. I still got a beautiful design and 5th batch will be a win! This design is not for the faint of heart that’s for sure. Just making the dividers was a project unto itself. But for the first time I actually soaped with lye at 71 and oils at 115. Your suggestion to “just wait” for the perfect batter consistency was so true. If the batter isn’t just perfect, and also matched with a well behaved fragrance, it firms up before you can rake it. Hence 4 batches LOL. Thank you SO much for sharing this design and wonderful tips. I really appreciate you taking us step-by-step. You can never know what the soaping community has meant to me. Some day I hope to give back. Take care! -Momo
I probably already watched this video, but I liked the soap so much that I watched it again. You are always so calm in your talking and have all these little details that you impart on your fans, it is really interesting. I love these colors and the Chevron design. I like the tips that you have learned, like the plastic bags, from packaging inside the bottles, the small bottles of oil that you use, so you do not go over, the way you use a pallet knife to mix your colors, your cardboard and skewers tool is very creative and so precise. All these little details make it fascinating to watch you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent.
Very cool design, Teri!! I love the digital color changes at the end - the turquoise and dark pink ones would have to be my favorites!! Hope you sell lots of soap today!! ♥️
Thank you so much, Terry, for showing us your beautiful soap and for all the great tips you give, lear so many things here. Love this soap and the skewers!
Such awesome tips on soaping. I try to soap at 78-83 degrees. For my batter anyway. Its a veery balanced recipe. I'm going to try recipe to see what it's all about. I've never used someone elses recipe, so that will be interesting. Thank you for the tutorial!
Thank you so much for valuable information concerning titanium dioxide and oil dispersion. Thank you for sharing your Chevron Swirl design ideas. It looks amazing. Wonderful information as always. Great job!
Teri! This is such a beautifully done video and the technique you are demonstrating is clearly shown and easily understood. I already tried it the hard way, LOL, without the dividers, and it was definitely a fail due to the acceleration of the batter. BUT thanks to you will try again - using your methods and tips which are wonderful. Every tip is a great reminder because there’s such a laundry list of things to “do right” when you’re making soap! It’s easy to forget the little stuff like don’t overmix! You are so generous with your information, and your Chevron pattern is absolutely gorgeous. You are so appreciated by me and many, many others. -Momo
Thank you, Teri! I always learn so much from your videos and watch them over and over again. My favourite colors here are the teal, too. But the one you're selling is gorgeous!
your designs, explanations, and advice is incredible and extremely appreciated. unfortunately i cannot pick a favorite color as i like them all. your page is very insightful and inspirational. thank you for the time you take to do.
Very new and refreshing..shows how you are always thinking about new for your soaps al the time..am sure Amy might be already thunking of this as the technique of her Soap challenge club...oh by the way I am only an aspirant cp soap maker.
You never cease to amazing me. Thank you for this very educational and inspiring tutorial. You are SO talented. The soap turned out amazing. Thank you!!
Oh my, this is GORGEOUS! I think I like the royal blue best, but I'm such a big fan of the color pink. My hubby sat and watched your video with me (he has NEVER watched a soaping video) and he was thoroughly pleased with your knowledge and skills ♡ [He said I'm college-level ball, and you're pro 😅] I AGREE!
This design is just so creative, Teri! Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge ❤️ These types of videos are a labor of love for sure! Of the different colors at the end, the teal one and the purple are my favorites. Just so clever!
Wow Terri - these are beautiful. I am always impressed by how thorough and yet very interesting your tutorials are. As always you inspire going beyond your comfort zone. Thank you.
Wow Terry, these are absolutely amazing and very beautiful 😍, I love them all! My favorite ones though are the the dark blue you did the video with, but the lighter one is next, then the purple, pink and the green is cool, but, im just not into green lol, sorry. I think I got them all? I really like the Chevron design, its cool 😎. Thank you and as always, great video, I wait patiently for them 😊. My new grandson is beautiful by the way 💙. Stay safe.
Love this...absolutely beautiful soap...favorite color is the green...you lost me a bit on the math with separating the batch for the colors...Think I'm going to wait before I try this one...Live to see a series on organic soaps! Thanks!
Teri this soap is stunning! The magenta might be one of my favorites! I always appreciate your videos so much, I always learn a ton! I've only been. Making soap for almost a year...so some of the techniques are a little above my skill level, but I'm just preparing for the future! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, tips and tricks! Happy soaping!
Teri you never cease to amaze me with your talent. I can find myself binge watching you for hours which is likely why I can't seem to get things done. Can you explain why you have the pointed end of the skewer drag across the bottom of the mold rather than the flat end? I know there's a reason, just not sure what it might be. Thanks for sharing your skills with us.
Another winner, Terri - and thanks for the tip on fatty acids ratio. My slow moving recipes (for swirls) are sometimes hit or miss. I was going by hard oil/soft oil percentages b/f, so now I'll pay attention to fatty acids 👍 Also, lovely soap ❤️
Welcome, everyone! I am so excited about this technique! Thanks so much for watching! I can’t wait to see this color combo inspiration you liked best. I love how you make use out of what you have. You don't need fancy tools, just skewers and cardboard. Genius, innovative and economical.
