My grandfather red and me get in my grandfathers tripacer fly to Middletown airport ate at frisches and come back. Spent many days up there at the airport. Love watching and hearing the Beechcraft start up all the skydivers gather in. My grandfather plane was parked next to the two twin beech for parts at the end of the runway. Miss this place and memories

I went up in one of those here in Iowa after an air show a number of years ago. Stalls, spins, rolls and loops, we did it all! I had my stomach in my throat for a half hour after that ride but it was worth it. My grandfather was a Great Lakes dealer back in the 30's and I wanted to live all the stories I had been told growing up.

One of my favorite fields. I need to go back and get checked out in all of their aircraft

Love these videos! I am a student pilot, training out at Kadena Air Base with their Aero Club, but when I get back to the states I'll be Dallas based, looking to get a kitfox of my own after I get back... Great stuff!

Looking forward to seeing, and hearing 😊👍 more videos. I'd love to fly out of there. I learned on a Grob 115 and then bought a Jodel, hand swing, no radio, tailwheel. I realised just how amazing flying was in this old aircraft ❤️

Doing it the right way! I'd like to fly a Jodel one of these days. I've heard a lot of good things about them.

The first thing I learned about a Stearman: "You are never through landing a Stearman until you have it locked in a hangar and are at least 50 feet away."

My experience flying it was that it’s a very friendly aircraft that is completely unforgiving of mistakes!

@@ianslife210 Were the stall strips still in place, or did they remove them?

You know to be honest I can’t recall! It’s been about a year so I’m starting to forget the exact details.

@@ianslife210 I have about 800 hours in a Stearman. It was as challenging the last time as it was the first. But I loved every minute. Happy you got to get to know one before time wins and they will be exhibits only.

crapola music over engine sounds knock it off

Agreed but sadly there isn’t a microphone made that will pick up anything in an environment that noisy and windy.
