Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.
I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

The first bug i want to be fixed, is the power legos reseting everytime we change master modes. This is the most annoying of all. As a combat pilot, everytime I do a jump and go for combat I need to reconfigure my power to weapons, engine, shields, coolers and some ships my EMP
Yes please. Standard vanguard power settings are 1 power in shield 1 power in gun !? How the hell is this a priset for a heavy fighter ?
The worst is having your flares reset to '1', so you're not even ready to counter when the gankers inevitably 3v1 you with missile spam when you get out of QT - the missile tracking system being as broken as it already is. So much of this is an absolute mess for combat piloting.

Logging on has been the hardest for me. It takes forever then my friend can't join the same server

They just put them in not to long ago, its not going away. However the transportation refactor should fix them.. whenever that finally gets in the game

Is this all because they have to basically bolt these features to the server meshing frame? I don't remember the missions or sound bugs being so prominent before.
The mission issues yes, they basically have to rewrite every mission for 4.0 and server meshed environment. No idea about the other stuff, since some of the bugs seem to be long standing older bugs while some seem new and/or more numerous.
But either way welcome to what a playable alpha looks like lol.
My experience with star citizen is that 1 in 2 bounty missions on average will be bugged and incompleteable.
I love hearing about bugs being fixed. Hopefully CIG continue to focus on that. Especially with the festival/free fly coming. I've had to warn so many players away from SC due to it's current condition. Which really sucks because I've spent years talking to them about the game. lol

@ I don’t think they have announced a date. I think most people are speculating within a week or two though.

I hope CIG reads this. The contested zones becoming congested is becoming a huge issue. There needs to be exceptions in certain areas that auto clean entities when they've been on the ground for a time. So many times I go into checkmate contested zone and there are dozens of bodies on the floor. Cause huge performance issues around the entire station. But when I return on a "newer" server. It runs butter smooth. I understand persistence is important. But there should never be mounds of dead bodies in a station with loot strewn about everywhere bogging performance.
This is especially a problem when each body has potentially dozens of lootable items on them all physicalized…
The problem comes with making sure they don't vanish while a player is looking at them or as soon as they turn around as that can ruin the immersion as much as poor frames. ^^
they should add Roombas that clean everything up and run a DNA test on garbage to fine to owner.
they need to disable turrets for trespassing on deserted ships that are at contract sites that s is annoying
Yeah, you don't want to make the mistake of walking on to one of those abandoned ships. Voids the timer, and they shoot you down.
What they need is once a ship is claimed by insurance their abandoned ship needs to be clearly identified as abandoned and legal to enter and salvage. Before the player claims it, it is technically not abandoned.
@@sanctred I feel like the turrets shouldn't shoot at you even if the ship hasn't been claimed. If the owner of the ship presses charges, then the turrets can fire away.

I just want a solution for infinite loading screens and the inventory problems solved, literally every patch since 3.23 inventory has been way more broken than in the past. really those have been the biggest hang ups for me lately. login, gear up, cant gear up because inventory is bugged. finish mission, unable to store/sell newly acquired gear. right now acquiring things is one of the main drivers behind gameplay and if the stuff we acquire isnt able to be stored or sold, what is the point. if the servers cant last more than a missions worth of time before the database degrades to unusable its hard to feel positive about their progress.

The PTU really needs to go live as soon as possible for one reason. I cannot log in to 4.0 preview with any reliability, most times I just get the infinite loading screen. I have almost no issues logging in to the PTU however. So PTU may not be perfect lol, but at least I can play. Thanks for another great video!
Have you tried to reset your character ? Usually it fixes the infinite loading screen
I want them to fix being not able to complete misisons on 4.0.1 and than rleease it on preview as fast as possible, after that we will laos sadly have to wait when 4.0.1 is on preview for the enxt major fix patch beacuse when it goes to preivew there will be 100% new bugs and stuff, so if we are like relaly lucky like 7-15th of Febuary the game might be a little bit playible on the preview xDD
Right now I don't want new features or ships... I want a playable version of release 4 :P
After they dropped the patch last night, no one could log into the game getting 60k errors. I haven't been able to play 😂
Still cant complete major hauling missions and the only vehicle to do them is still bugged. The bug was acknowledged by CIG in September. No changes at all.. pretty bad for hull c owners

Im unable to complete the tutorial in the PTU as the elevator from my habitat isnt registering my key presses, elevator works perfectly other than i cant move on to the next stage and release my ships and ive been waiting for the preview to load for longer than this video and still waiting…
The game isnt repairable as they keep trying and all that happens is it gets worse..! The money will run out and the project will be scrapped
I’m not sure if I’m happy or pissed about all these bug fixes. If they make everything stable and running well in this short a time of focusing on bugs then this could have been in a much better state a long time ago
Wow, the elevator FINALLY works, but now the shuttle doesn't work. 10/10 would not buy again.
Based on what we are seeing the keyword is "potential" patches! CIG is fastly proving they care more about creating more ships to get more money, than they are about fixing the game that is getting more broke with every addition that is crammed into it without being fully fleshed out and fixed! I question if this developer even knows what "bug fixing" even means! Looks more like temporary patch that does not get to the source of why something is really broken!

I'm over it. Sick of the never ending disappointment. Haven't been able to log in because they won't or can't fix Vulcan. A simple roll back would be great but nope. Sick of it.

Hey thanks for the super!!! its already on the PTU, but if you are asking will it go live next week it is yet to be seen. It could if they tackle all of the blockers and other issues they deem as not live worthy, but until they know for sure and tell us, its all guess work.

I keep watching these video's and wondering how we have such a different experience lol they fixed QT last patch this patch its broken again they are struggling to get the basics working, DLSS was not playing well with drop shadows on the MFD's its defo looks better now.

Has anyone at CIG tried to use the Pulse recently?
It spawns on it's side. Getting on it can kill you. Turning on the engines and trying to right it can kill you.
Flying it onto your ship can kill you. Flying it out of your ship can kill you.
Bottom line: It's fucking useless.
They just need to drop voip until the next system is in
Im done with this game. Its been this way for years. I get that things get fixed eventually, but not without breaking everything else. At this point it is a ship selling scam.
At this point? All due respect I bought this when it was announced and I load it once a year, watch it crash to desktop and then uninstall it because why bother taking up space on the drive.
I hope they don't just focus on bugs and give the garbage UI cleaned up and make certain actions less convoluted. I once starved to death with a backpack full of food because I couldn't figure out how to use any of it. 😂 If you're not going to give exhaustive in-game tutorials your UI needs to be simple and intuitive. It's not.

CIG, if you're reading this.... just push 4.01 to live.... the 4.0 preview is 100% broken and completely unplayable.... anything is better

Writing it's fixed in a report, and having it fixed are 2 different things in Star Citizen, to my surprise. Dont take those videos at face value, and i hope more content creators will test what is alleged by CIG, because they are to the point of not testing their own bug fixes... which is a worrying sing about the goodhart law being applied to the fixing team.
They of course test their own bug fixes, which is why they say they think they fixed it. This is such an ignorant take completely lacking in context.
All they changed is that they have made it clearer what "fixed" in IC and patch notes actually means. It's literally just a wording change and nothing more.
Multiple issues can cause the same bug and the live environment under load can have it's own impact and quirks as well.
Alot of content creators will state that it's not fixed if they still r experiencing that particular bug. Alot of these creators simply read patch notes and will test out the build after the fact. Most who aren't completely new to the game understand to take these at face value
