I love what they did with Tulin. He was an insignificant minor character in BotW, overshadowed by his father, that I barely remembered him.
Now he’s a companion and a sage. I’m actually kind of proud him.
SPOILER POS
TBF Age of Calamity's DLC DID hint at a bigger Role for Tulin in this game. He did tell Revali that he would create a Technique that Surpasses Revali's Gale. Also what happened in Korok Forest in AOC was a Teaser for what happened in this Game too.
And he would taste great fried 😋
Lol I barely even remembered Teba, you do like one thing with him in the main quest and boom you’re approaching vah medoh
@@Plantasea you shouldn’t even be on the video if you don’t want spoilers goofy
I love Tulin so much, he‘s an adorable birb plus he‘s actually really good in combat!
my man is headshot central
and doesn't get in the way
Story wise I liked the lead up to Sidon most, of all of them he seemed most like he earned being a SAGE, you know, legendary powerful and knowledgable and wise being.....but in practical use Tulin 1000000%
Too good! He kept head shotting the Construct enemies (level 4 ones) right off the platforms all the way down to the surface. And they despawn so I can't loot them. Ugh!
It would be a good thing if I didn't want/need the level 4 horns. He'll be great on the ground. Can tulin come into survival shrines with me? Or, is he "removed," like all my other stuff?
Ya gotta love Tull in!😂
I loved this dungeon but we don’t talk about the route to the dungeon enough, it was a delight
I did the whole thing without the balloon. It took forever but it was actually a lot of fun.
@@tinasuarez Same here :)
Definitely one of my favorite moments so far
There’s a balloon? 😂
@@mikepecore5752 it’s pretty much at the end anyway but still helps 😅
The f. There's a balloon? 😅😂
There's at least 5 shrines I completed by just fusing the rocket to my shield. Since shrines don't let you take out zonai stuff, every time you see rockets on the ground make sure to fuse them to your shield.
So helpful thanks! I forgot rockets were an option😂
I thought the shrine would destroy the rocket fused to the shield
@@sebastian7814 all fused rockets disappear after you use them but nope! Shrines dont destroy them before use
you can also cheese most of the water temple including the way there by using rocket shields
how to do you find the rockets
Austin: "I estimate this path to take you about one to two hours."
Me who is afraid of heights: "Not five or six?"
Preach I felt a bit sick from the element of height in this temple. It took me hours and multiple deaths 🥺
Dude... just watching this walk through is giving me anxiety..... who the crap thought this was a good idea lol
I love the little head tilt Tulin does when he first spots Link. It’s a small detail, but such a typical bird thing to have him do.
I literally just finished this temple and this gets posted
I finished it last night
@@sethmarshall334 I got there last night. Saving the temple later today.
Same here, although I’m having a hell of a time making money so I bought the head and chest piece but haven’t got the legs for the Snow Quill set
Same I just finished it 30 min ago xD
Did it yesterday too 😂
For turbine 2, instead doing all the rewind and stuff, instead of attaching the wall piece horizontally, attach it vertically and have tulin blow a gust at the wall piece to make it turn.
It's even easier than that. It literally works if you go to the deck of the ship and use the gust through the door
Was looking for this comment 😂 totally what I just did
What happens after u do the wall bits? Anything?
seeing these videos has made me realize how long i’ve been a fan of your channel! you’re awesome and you’ve been my go to for help on so many games. appreciate you austin!! keep up the amazing work 😁
I LOVED the climb upto the ark. It was so fun jumping from one ahip to another
I finished this whole quest line yesterday the Bossfight was amazing and to be honest I feel like the big temple part was just getting up to the storm wind ark
The Wind Temple (including the massive ascension gauntlet getting up to it) is as close to a proper Zelda Dungeon as we've gotten for YEARS now, and I loved it. The best part was that the boss wasn't just a stupid blight.
I did skip a couple of parts of the ascension puzzle by building blimps, though 😂
Edit: Austin liked my commet, I am honored.
Edit2: There's a separate and very valid conversation to be had about boss difficulty, though I personally haven't found LoZ boss fights in general very challenging for a long time.
At least the blights were somewhat challenging. This boss was a complete joke
For me, I enjoyed the Blight's.
I mean this boss was so easy and i am bad at zelda, hope for ganondorf not being a joke again
The boss I found out can be damaged if you accidentally fall on top of the ice and hit the weak point. You lose a lot of health and could potentially die though. I found this out after I was hit by one of the icicles launched from the back and I fell and collided with the boss. Took me by total surprise when I broke the ice upon crashing into it and damaging the weak point as I died and fell down for a game over screen. I didn’t even have any weapons out to hit it as I was falling from getting hit and losing stamina as a result.
@@562.anthony2 hard does not equal good, especially in a Zelda game. This boss fight was so much more fun than any of the blights.
I beat this day one and to this day, Tulin is still my favorite character at this moment
I don't know why I love the guy, he's just a funny bird that knows Tailwind
Tailwind! That’s funny I’m calling his ability that from now on😂
@@ImLazyLotad oh yeah, I plan to use pokemon moves to reference the vows since they're catchier
Beat this earlier today, what a fantastic dungeon. Loved the journey to the dungeon itself as well as the return to thematic dungeons, brilliant!
I like the thematic dungeons. Now, give us the compass, map, pieces of heart, and special items pleeeease!
the sickos demonic fallen angels did it there not brillant there all fools!!!
That one area where you used the floor as a "crank" to open the gate, you can turn the price flat, and use Tulin to blow it to make it spin. I think that's their "intended" strategy.
Lol, I got that two-icicle chest in a different way: I did stick two icicles together, but next to each other so they'd be wide enough to stand on, then picked them up with Ultrahand and put them just under the opening for a few seconds before setting them on the floor again, standing on them, using Recall, and crouch-squeezing through the hole to get to the chest. I can't remember how I got back out, I think I just ascended through the ceiling.
I love Tulin, he is now one of my favorite characters in the Zelda universe. He had great energy and his ability is extremely helpful. Having companions is a warm welcome back to Zelda. This adds so much more story to the game and I love it.
I personnaly hate him lol. BRING BACK REVALI!!
How do I use them lol my bad can't figure it out
@@josephmitchell6340 go into your key inventory and look for Vow of Tulin. Click on it to summon him. Also, he can’t be used in towns or villages, so if he doesn’t show up just leave that town or village.
This tip works in BotW too: if you want to convert your jellies, you can just drop them on a campfire, icy water, or electric fields/nodes, etc. No wand durability required. Every time I see one of these early game, I take a moment to drop a few down.
I did this last night and felt so great afterwards! What a fun challenge. Thanks for being the big brother to us all helping enhance our gameplay without spoiling anything for us! ❤
Same here haha I was proud of myself
How much time do you require to complete it from rito village?
I took the long way up to the temple lol. I didn't use the balloons. Also, I absolutely LOVE Tulin. His personality is awesome, and the fact that he helps fight enemies is so cool.
Oooh, I totally missed the chest you need the two icicles for. Just completed this last night and it was fantastic. I took the long way by just gliding and using ascend, and it felt like a real trek to get to the top, and the boss fight was really fun. Thanks for the video!
I got stuck on this temple and found this video 2 minutes after it posted! Good timing Austin!
Thank you so much for doing these videos!!!! I hope a playlist can be made of all of the main storylines. Thank you!!! I appreciate the videos so very much.
I love your videos cuz they’re all concise and helpful, but I also feel really good when I manage to find stuff without your help🔥 You’re awesome at explaining stuff. I appreciate all your hard work.
Not going to lie, after I finished this dungeon, I did the Geoglyph quest line. Word of warning, make sure you have at least a second ring of stamina before you finish that quest line.
Can you please do a fusing guide, for what to use and where to find the best parts to put on weapons? And also would love a depths guide, for where to find the best treasure. Great job with the guides you have so far. They’re immensely helpful.
I took Tulin to take out the flux construct in the area and he totally saved my ass with like 5 rapid fire crit shots
I think this was the most fun traversal section I've ever done in a Zelda game. I just did the desert temple and that one is amazing.
This dungeon is usually the first one I do, because Tulin's avatar becomes an almost constant companion for me. His avatar can hit some enemy weak points, and when facing Lynels, he can sometimes hit it's face, although rarely. He's with me now, exploring the Depths, mining zonaite.
I love it there's so many different ways to do things. I've leaned a sled against the bars with the hole and crouched through it.
I definitely needed help with this. Thank you so much!!!
I'm watching your videos after I progress past that point in the story. I'm amazed at how differently people solve puzzles. It's a testament to how cool this game is. Looking forward to more of your great videos!
Thank you 👍 keep the videos coming, I appreciating all the help you've given
I literally just started this- thank god!! Austin John you are THE destination for Nintendo content!! Thank you!
Thank you Austin for these videos. I'm not that good at logic puzzles and I hate getting ''stuck'' when playing games. Your tutorials are detailed and easy to follow, and are helping me a lot!
Thank you for a clear, concise walkthrough. The wind temple is complete! TY Austin 😅
Liked, commented and adding to the watch later list so I don't spoil myself. Thanks Austin
Thank you Austin John. Great walk through
Thank for the job you do man. Great work on all you videos.
Thank you so much for your content and dedication. I look forward to seeing your videos with every single one of my favorite Nintendo releases. Animal crossing, pokemon snap, hell all the Pokémon games, all of it spectacular. Keep being you!
This was such a cool dungeon including the climb to get there. Boss was definitely easy, but I did like the fact that it was a fully airborne fight. It made it memorable and unique.
Exactly. Memorable, unique, and fun > challenging
Thanks for looking out for your fans Austin! You assisted me with Botw and now Totk. 👏
Not understating why my boy Austin John isn’t getting matching the likes to the views. This man out here grinding videos for us. It’s 1 simple tap to like the video. Come on guys!
People are not watching videos they are playing game
I also love tulin! And unlike in so many games, he was actually pretty good at combat
Tilling is a beast.
6:30 it’s actually funny how if you don’t meet with Tulin and still defeat the aracuda the cutscene still triggers. Pretty cool.
I remeber playing this whole run. Got to the temple and was like “waaaaait a min the actual dungeon was getting here. OMG THATS GENIUS”
It’s like Dark Souls only Zelda form
skyward sword did this too. It was puzzles to get to the dungeon.
@austin 17:12 flip the stone to it's vertical when you fuse it, use Tulin's wing gust to spin it, it stays open for a long time that way
This!
Ohhhh Austin. How do you always know exactly what I need 😍 I looked this up to see if something was worth going after and here you are! Didn’t even know it was you until I clicked it. You’re the man ❤
Thanks Austin for the video 😊
I didn’t know about the pine cone trick when I did this. I had been shrine grinding and got my stamina up to 2 full circles and so I just climbed up that wall in the cave lol. Great boss fight too it was really fun!
If you talk to the person next to the broken bridge they mention it
Helpful video. Enjoying the heck outta this game! 👍👍
The wind temple was the most fun dungeon experience I had in totk- I basically used the long route as I did not use any of the hot air balloons also when I reached the real cold area I realized I only had the default 1 piece of cold resistance with about 15 mins of cold resistance food which set up a time limit which also made it more fun for me .
Your tips are so helpful, THANK YOU!!!!🎉
Letss goo, just entered the Rito Village. Thank you Austin!
Loving the temples and the companion quests so far. Getting to the temple was such a fun sequence. The fight against Colgera was not that hard but it was fun.
Thanks so much John! This was so helpful ❤
thank you for this. I did what u did and progressed a little to much, when the birdie left me i took it as oh he’s going to meet me all the way on the top so i took about 45 mins to make it up and then i got to the temple and couldn’t activate the terminal. watching this cleared some things up but now i gotta waste another 45 mins going back up again.
Your videos are awesome for me that I can see anything I happened to miss if I already completed the area. I didn't notice until watching that they play parts of Dragon Roost Island theme while fighting the boss. Very cool touch they included.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! ❤
17:00 About which way of solving that puzzle the game probably intended is by attaching the floor and using a tulin gust to push. The spin around and remind works perfectly fine it may even be what they wanted but I’m assuming Tulin’s gust on account of how it’s her temple and ya know they tend to focus on the solutions that use the ability you just received for awhile
thanks for making these. its a very challenging game and having some direction and tips is saving my sanity.
I forgot about the armor, so I went through the whole temple eating pepper meals and attaching a ruby to a stick
I have the Archaic Warm Greaves and the Snowquil Tunic, if you don't have the Greaves from the tutorial Sky Island area you should definitely grab them.
Me too. I didn’t have enough rupees to buy it. Need to take some time and go caving.
Thank you it took me all night to finish this part.
I loved this Austins videos help me out so much i hope he does the rest of them too
Thank you so much!
Thank you 🙏 I just got to Wind Temple and needed this
I was a dork and built a bridge across to rito village 😂😂. It took 7 log units and was nerve-wracking to cross
Austin, thank you so much I would be lost without this help please definitely do the rest of the temples too
Do the other temples yours was SIMPLE and very detailed without skipping any steps!!! Thank you bro!!!
Thank you it was SOOOO helpful
Just finished this recently but I’m happy to watch a guide on it to see how others solved the same puzzles
I was waiting for a new video
me too
these are the best totk videos
Soooo thankful for this.
this helped so much thank you
This helped me so much on the wind temple thank u for posting this video
The one with the latch and the one through the death drop brought me here..... Two hour's and I caved in!!!! 😢😢😢😂😂😂Thank you man
Thanks for this ! Was helpful, please do make them for the others
Dude Tulin outshoots me all the time
I cannont keep up with his precesion!
Thanks! You the homie for real 💯
17:00 you could use the bird’s gust ability to turn the gear
Thank you so much
The music for the colgera boss fight is a banger 🔥
The sky islands there have those non-gravity platforms like giant metal boxes. You can attach balloons + flamethrowers to those, and when your charge runs our, the platform just stops midair and waits for your charge to replenish.
Definitely not an hour long process.
Thank you for the schooling of the ascension to the temple. It took me like an hour to get up there
Finished this last night! Definitely some lessons learned.
This was so incredibly fun as a quest line. I loved it
from watching your videos, I'm getting the feeling you haven't found the horse god yet. they relocated to northern Akala, and they can upgrade your horses. upgrades require cooking specific meals. I think a video on that and the recipes needed for each of the upgrades would be sweet. absolutely love your TotK content. I've been watching every video after I do the relevant bits in game, and every one has had a couple nuggets of information that I didn't know. thank you so much for what you do!
Your right handed snap is definitely louder than your left handed snap 😆😂 Love the vids. I couldn’t do this without you.
Thanks, this was great info for me
thank you so much i did the entire wind temple without activating the quest now i can actually progress.
no upgraded stamina bar only 1 piece of warm clothing 2 12 min foods for warmth and eating for hp when i ran out of the 24 mins
Thank you! I am having so much trouble getting to the top. I will try going against the wind.
Thanks for posting! I needed the help. I’m stuck in the middle of this quest.
oh thank god this exists, it was impossible to find the herbs south summit cave. Thanks Austin!
I lucked out and got the Divine Beast Helm from the Revali Amiibo the very first time I scanned it in the game which was before I talked to Purrah to start the main story quest to find Zelda. It greatly helped me with Rito Village that I only needed the Snow Boots for additional cold protection.
If anyone is having trouble making rupees, I have found that the minigames are actually pretty good. I will put the specific ones I like lower so that if anyone wants to avoid spoiling what minigames there are they can avoid it.
1. The wing flying on eventide island can be cheesed using rewind to stop the wing, and letting it go immediately, it'll drop strait down a little before it starts to move forward again.
2. The minigame at the flight range is very easy
Thank you I had no idea on how to do this
Do you think you can go over locations of paraglider cloths? I've only found a few so far and would like to find them all!
Also THANK GOD we managed to teach Tulin that he isn't invincible so he doesn't become another Revali.
Okay, so just so I randomly found this out. You can get too far ahead of Tulin on the climb up and he will leave and go to the beginning of the climb for a cutscene. I made it all the way to the wind temple without him. However you can't do any of the temple without him and it won't even allow you to activate the fast travel point without him.
Thank you I needed help
