I was around 15 or 16. I remember the summer when I discovered rock, bought an electric guitar and started playing. It culminated in me playing Stairway to Heaven at a school festival. Back then rock was like my life but it slowly fade away. It is not a sad story, I just got other interests, changed. But Jesus, those were some good times.
This rendition alone is still amazing to this day, but something that really stands out to me apart from the music is the stage set. The way they're lit, and the wine between them. Love the whole performance!
Most of the people that critics this done even play, they are masters in what they do. Im sure if they wanted all that flamenco sound, or all mexican sound or all Jimmy Page's sound they could do it. But thats whats amazing in music. You can make it your own, and its really really hard.
I was 13 when my cousin showed this to me for the first time. I had JUST started learning guitar, and learning the OG zep version. I immediately fell in love with this version and sought after the tabs only to realize it was pretty heavily out of my league haha. 17 Years later, and that much guitar under my belt I still absolutely love listening *and playing* this song. What a masterpiece of a rendition.
Discovered this as a kid... Got free tickets to a Festival years later and they were there by chance, I managed to see it live. A friend just sent a Jon Gomm video and now here I am again, nearly 20 years later
Years later this song still gives me chills! Learning to play it again (hopefully all the way through this time) makes me fall in love with the guitar all again! Epic couple, keep playing till you can't anymore!
very very nice. I like your version just as much as the LZ version. what an absolutely incredible rendition of one of the all time favorite classics. thank you very much for that auditory gourmet chocolate. a real treat for the ears. 🎵🎸🎶
i get goosebumps every time i hear this song ,you put so much more emotion into into it is more a feeling than just the sound ,it's physical. keep playing music.
I seen this before and I just can't stop saying how low I feel towards them. They are so talented that even I can't reach up to. But they have influence me alot in music as well as the original ,but this just kicks the charts of beautiful latin/mix rock music:D
I can explain what he's doing with his picking hand if thats what you're wondering. Am pretty good at doing it myself so can probably give some good insights.
I believe it's a triangular strum.. could be wrong. Check out jake shimabukuro in his performance of while my guitar gently weeps. I think his style towards the end of the peice holds your answer
Have you seen this guy. Guitar teacher from Baltimore does AWESOME reaction videos. I don't play, I like his reactions and the musical suggestions from his fans. Anyway, he just 100K and giving away a guitar. Might be worth checking out. ua-cam.com/video/crFO_guNRAg/v-deo.html
This is just very intelligent. To do a great cover you have to understand the original and bring something new to it. This does both in spades. I think I read somewhere that this was Page's preferred cover of StH...and if I didn't, I'm not sure he would disagree anyway!
@AkiraX49 well thats the thing, with gifted people like him, they usually dont have to put too much effort in because they're just naturally talented at instruments, I've got a lazy friend who doesn't practise all day and night but is absolutely amazing at all 3 instruments he plays
Can’t believe it’s been 17 years . I was 15 when I saw this. I’m 32. 2024

I feel sorry for anyone who unliked this masterpiece
Yeah how can anyone dislike this?
Hahaha! Only deaf and ugly people do not like it!😳😳😳
Don’t feel sorry for them just pity them.
If anyone knows anything, this Stairway To Heaven cover is Out Of This World, period.

Beautiful. I am 70 and this is better than Page ever stole.
This arrangement is so effing brilliant. It's been in near constant rotation for over a decade at this point and I never, ever get tired of it.
18 years I've had this in my watch later, i pull it out at least 7 times a year. Good God bless you two!
From 2008, back in my engineering school regularly listening to this. Please youtube never delete this even if you run out of space.
I grew up on Led Zeppelin. And this is a FANTASTIC rendition of this song.
I'm glad I have the older better quality video of this.
You'd make a lot of people happy if you uploaded that one to UA-cam :) !
@@macvos I'll have to dig out the old laptop dinosaur that hasn't been connected online in years to see if its still their.
It's been 14 years since I heard this video for first time, what a beautiful interpretation, it still seems incredible.

Really incredible, one of the best acoustic performances i’ve ever seen/heard. The bongo sound the woman makes on her guitar at the end is amazing!!

I still think this version is even better than the orig. and I love LZ. This though, it's just outstanding.
Je vais les voir samedi au Foreztival ❤
Very talented artists. Nothing beats Led Zeppelin original, but it's always welcome to have good versions like this one. Just two guitars.
