Does anyone else just feel really bad for Kyle? Guy's about to lose his apartment, gets forced to do the night shift, and a person who's likely a close friend slowly loses his mind before trying to murder Kyle with zero hesitation the moment they fund out he's a werewolf, which ends with him watching said person DIE right in front of him. Kyle needs a hug.
@@Phrixys There's not a body - but there's a lot of blood around it (level 5). And there's a pair of broken glasses and bunny ear headbands next to it. So pretty sure someone died. And there's what looks like a wake in one of the rooms you clean the next level.
He did kind of address it on the final day when he said that the number of people Kyle mauled could have been zero and he still wouldn't forgive him. From Daryl's _(admittedly unstable)_ POV, Kyle knew he was a danger to everyone in the office and still kept coming to work instead of staying home to keep everyone else safe. The fact that this would have cost Kyle his job and apartment doesn't really seem to be a salient point as far as Daryl's concerned any more.
Legally speaking, company can not withold payment, nor can they make you work unpaid overtime. Kyle should take it up with HR because this is just 'massive lawsuit' waiting to happen.
You gotta be careful with HR. Even if some are well meaning, HR reps are not there to be your friend. They exist to protect the company and anyone higher up. Completely ignoring everything else that's happening(like certain rituals). Therefore completely failing at their job. But the worst crime so far... he littered! He left the shotgun shells after his shooting! Despicable!
Love how the messes are interconnected, somebody has a mental breakdown, breaks the fish tank, starts a rebellion, weaponizes the vermin left by daryl, snaps again after his coworker dies in a forklift, summons a demon then traps the CEO in the bathroom.
Yeah thats what I noticed, and it gives a reason as to why Daryl was getting paranoid that a smart beast was lurking through his department building. The messes aren't made to be an obstacle, but have story to them as well.
1:52 judging by this part I guess he can’t control can’t control his predatory drive. I doubt it’s his fault sadly. If it weren’t for that I’d hug him endlessly.
@markperez1375 Predatory drive is one thing that would make sense. Another would also be the fact that if anyone screams from seeing him, he would need to stop them so he doesn't lose his job. Though it be kind of tough to do that without ending them himself.
I was wondering why I was so interested in this and then I remembered that i’ve spent the last 4 years of my life working on a comic with a vaguely similar premise
The most unrealistic thing about this game is the fact that the men’s bathroom has a full set of stalls and doesn’t have some of them replaced with urinals.
I'm just laughing at the fact that 90% of the coworkers pass by Kyle in front of him and didn't notice indirectly. Like, he's within their vision range before they go, "Hmm... I think I need to print something.@
To be fair, if I saw that running around my office at the night shift, I'd probably chalk it up to the boss hiring some furry to clean up our workspace. Probably too sleep deprived to even give a shit tbh
Originally, I thought the end would be like “ because no one actually saw you at the office all week. We aren’t actually sure if you came to work. We’ll have to hold off your paycheck.” And then he goes what time to kill them, and then the final missions actually kill everyone
Nah, the game still went dark anyways with the security guy killing himself in his sleep deprived paranoid urge to murder the werewolf guy that didn't hurt anyone in the time he was forced to work overnight
They kinda can't do that since there is evidence that someone was cleaning the, well, evidence. Also the CEO got killed by the demon from night 6 and he ordered the overtime so no one left to enforce it.
I absolutely adore Kyle in this, I honestly love the friendly werewolf trope, plus he's just genuinely a nice character. Daryl... I honestly felt bad for him, he was clearly going through a lot, and in the end he lost himself, and his life to his deteriorating mental health.

Kind of sucks there is no special ending for clearing all the levels with no kills. Maybe a heartwarming scene that reveals everyone in the office figured out Kyle is a werewolf but still accept him as a dedicated co-worker?
I imagine them being a foreign species which turn at day and not night. Kyle is sent there due to his skill in cleaning stuff and he has to clean everything. There would also be dead people since this place was also of work to the creatures and the people that stayed in the office got eaten, but just for some of the blame not go to Kyle, he has to clean the bodies too or else he could be in trouble

Honestly makes the game feel kind of sad. Kyle was sobbing when the end happened. It makes me wonder if either Daryl or Kyle may have ahd unrequited feelings for one another.@@massacremark6782
I was kinda expecting Kyle to catch the security guard to maybe quell his suspicions, not to make another mess for him to make on his below minimum wage budget.
@@Theta6369blame the company for forcing him to work at times he said he couldn’t (cause he’s a werewolf) and threatening not to pay him (which is illegal)
19:50 I have 2 Alternative endings 1- The Werewolf(Kyle) saves the guy from his death, therefore he gives a forgiving perspective to Kyle and allows him to live. 2- Despite saving the guy from dying, the werewolf gets betrayed and - gets shot in the back and is a sad ending - werewolf suddenly realises and runs away from the guard just in time leaving them both alive.
That sounds like a great idea. And also there could be a secret ending: on the fourth night, there would be a power box in the storage area that would be interactive, and when you would interact with it, the power to the security room would turn off, concerning daryl. You would then go to the security room and reveal that you’re the animal that daryl was looking for, you would have to negotiate with him to not tell anyone else and he’ll need rest, that you’ll be on security.
I love bow the music evolves during the game. On monday, the music is relaxed, since Kyle is just a regular janitor doing his work. On the other days, the music has a guitar, as to indicate that Kyle is stressed, since if anyone sees him, he won't be able to control himself and will end up killing his coworker. On sunday, the music changes to an entire new rhythm that is much more intense, since now Kyle has to worry about Daryl, his (former) friend who fell into literal insanity now hunting him down and trying to kill him.
@@DGMMusic Well you did a fantastic job, I hope your team adds more content to the game (or makes new games) so everyone gets to hear more of your amazing music!
The protagonist deserves employee of the month and a promotion... He is the most friendliest werewolf and the goodest of bois. Would definitely hug if he's okay with it
Kyle: 0 kills Daryl: Werewolf... I will cut you down, break you apart, splay the gore of your profane form across the STARS! I will grind you down until the very FUR CRIES FOR MERCY! My hands shall RELISH ENDING YOU... HERE! AND! NOW!
So... no one gonna talk about the rebellion? Or how the last stand in the bathroom had a corpse in it? Maybe even the ritual circle of blood(maybe jam)?
not really: the employee’s memorial is for the guy who died in an unfortunate forklift incident and the ceo was just murdered in a normal way. The blood is less clear, unless you count the insane amounts of red liquid kyle has to clean up.
oh boy a new game to obsess over! my favorite they simultaneously made me feel really bad for daryl while also having me think he deserved the ending… kyle might need some therapy after that
The fact you can have a pacifist route actually makes me want to see the game having branching storylines. Seeing how things go if Daryl did not kill anyone, kill a number of them, and kill lots of them.
Person: AAAAAHHH! Kyle: AAAAAAAHHHHHHH-RAWR!... oh, great, not again. (Kyle will always panic because he is stressed and Supernaturals Are Against Being Exposed, and you know the rest. Kill, eat, clean.)
If I were to write a secret ending for a no-kills run, it would be as follows: The ending proceeds as normal, until Daryl falls from the rope. Instead of letting him hit the pavement, Kyle catches Daryl, saving his life. While Daryl is in his arms, Kyle says "I remember when we were friends, Daryl. Before the CEO lost his mind and started making us work nights. The ironic thing is, even though everyone else was driven mad, somehow I made it through this week without hurting anyone. And you were the only one that had seen me. Please, Daryl, is there any way I can convince you to stop trying to hunt me down, or turn me in? I just want things to go back to how they used to. There's not gonna be any more nights after this week anyway, another worker killed the CEO. It wasn't me, I swear!" In response Daryl says "You lied to me...all these years. You know my ancestors were monster hunters, right? I thought it was all hoopla when my parents told me...but this is like the REVERSE of learning Santa ain't real. It means things really do go bump in the night, Kyle...AND YOU'RE ONE OF THEM! Those stories my parents told me...scared me when I was a kid. Now what am I supposed to think? That my ancestors killed possibly innocent people?! No, no...not people. BEINGS. A BEING is what I would call you. If you want me to stop, it'd have to be a REALLY good reason! Otherwise, on the honor of my ancestors, I'll die trying!" Kyle changes his expression from one of pleading melancholy, to that of a dark and grim determination. "Very well then. You leave me no choice..." Kyle tosses Daryl, who lands face first on the pavement. Daryl picks himself up on his hands and knees, and begins to cry while trembling in fear. "I-I knew it. You really are a m-monster. I-it's all over for more me, and I'm in no position to make requests, but...if our friendship meant anything to you, p-please...just make it quick." Kyle bites Daryl's @$$, and immediately lets go. After Daryl is done howling in pain, Kyle says "I hope mutually assured destruction is a good enough reason for you, Daryl. See you tomorrow." He then turns, and walks home. The scene fades to black, and then a door opens to a dark room. A wolf man is silhouetted in the doorway. The werewolf turns the light on, but instead of wearing a cleaning outfit, they're wearing a security outfit, and has a moustache. He looks down at his furry arms... "Welp...shoot," Daryl says defeated, through his new wolf muzzle...
I liked that it didn't end as happy as one would expect, but rather that it ended in more ironic and comical ways xD I hope they do something like this :,p
That would be interesting, but I recently joined the Discord server and they confirmed that in the game's universe lycanthropy is only a hereditary thing and it can't be spread.
I love when you're right next to a coworker and they don't notice/question/react to a giant fluffy furry with janitor equipment in their peripheral vision. Also, why's that burning server room being handled by a janitor using water? Shouldn't they be having adapted fire extinguishers (CO2 or powder) to put it out, then order new servers? Then again, this employer is forcing people to work unpaid at night if they want their paycheck for working daytime. Not to mention the security guard wants to murder you for "being dangerous", when people are actually getting killed for rebellioning (or in rituals). I foresee a series of lawsuits in the near future which will be extremely deadly for this company.
Seeing kyle seeming to have a problem and struggling with his own words working at night while as a werecleaner makes me feel bad the way he talks being a friendly werewolf.
I absolutely love this game! It has many things to do with such as the storyline of the game.. The idea of a janitor ( Kyle ) that transforms into a werewolf at night to clean the mess to pay his rent is an awesome idea..! i hope this game has a successful future..
He went through all that just for a paycheck of $119? Heck, I would have gone on a murderous rampage doing all that work for that little pay. That better not have been a monthly paycheck.
This is good game with great atmosphere and interesting gamplay. And To be fair, if you have turned werewolf kyle as a marketable plush, I would have bought him~
I’m only thirty seconds into this, but my gosh the mumbling is adorable. 10/10 game already. Or, rather, meh meh meh beh duh beh duh debbeh. Tebbuh dub tehb.
Ngl I really wish there's a plot twist that Kyle isn't the one who murder people, it was someone else and they try to frame Kyle for it And the actual killer is Daryl and he isn't aware that he is the werewolf that's been killing his co-workers
...Almost this whole game takes place at night. Full-moon nights. I think more people would be mauled (if Daryl's mental state in anything to go by) if he was a werewolf too.

Honestly makes the game feel kind of sad. Kyle was sobbing when the end happened. It makes me wonder if either Daryl or Kyle may have ahd unrequited feelings for one another.@@massacremark6782
Well, Kyle doesn't need to worry about rent anymore.
He now lives rent free in my head.
I was kinda expecting Kyle to catch the security guard to maybe quell his suspicions, not to make another mess for him to make on his below minimum wage budget.

I have 2 Alternative endings
1- The Werewolf(Kyle) saves the guy from his death, therefore he gives a forgiving perspective to Kyle and allows him to live.
2- Despite saving the guy from dying, the werewolf gets betrayed and
- gets shot in the back and is a sad ending
- werewolf suddenly realises and runs away from the guard just in time leaving them both alive.
@@mrmcboi8379bro just kidnap the security guy and drag him to the warehouse for 'rehabilitation'
It wouldn’t happen, because as the developer has confirmed, he will always have a motive to kill Kyle, no matter what.

I wonder if it's intentional or not but Kyle sounds like the magic dog of wisdom.
Yes
I love bow the music evolves during the game.
On monday, the music is relaxed, since Kyle is just a regular janitor doing his work.
On the other days, the music has a guitar, as to indicate that Kyle is stressed, since if anyone sees him, he won't be able to control himself and will end up killing his coworker.
On sunday, the music changes to an entire new rhythm that is much more intense, since now Kyle has to worry about Daryl, his (former) friend who fell into literal insanity now hunting him down and trying to kill him.
< 3 Glad you noticed. Thats what I (and the team) aimed for

Its quite ironic that company is called Howling hugs and kyle is a wereWOLF
@@РамильАхмедов-и6ю By the way, the game developer is called Howlin' Hugs. I guess this story is based on their office life.
This game is filled with lore by the looks of it
The protagonist deserves employee of the month and a promotion... He is the most friendliest werewolf and the goodest of bois. Would definitely hug if he's okay with it
Kyle: 0 kills
Daryl: Werewolf... I will cut you down, break you apart, splay the gore of your profane form across the STARS! I will grind you down until the very FUR CRIES FOR MERCY! My hands shall RELISH ENDING YOU... HERE! AND! NOW!

YOU ARE!!!
Kyle's the type to reply "Not me..."
The voice actors must’ve been having so much fun with this game…
But also, I love the way they designed this and it’s just so appealing!
So... no one gonna talk about the rebellion? Or how the last stand in the bathroom had a corpse in it? Maybe even the ritual circle of blood(maybe jam)?
The corpse was the CEO lol
i can only imagine the sound studio like: *guy tries to make the "voice line" but laughs* "no man it's just ImPoSsIbLe"
this shit was damn clean, you figured out the NPC ruleset and toed the line as far as possible
nice job
This play-thru indicates that there are two werewolves
Dang the office really resorted to summoning circles to get back at their ceo
Which means Daryl went after the wrong one.
not really: the employee’s memorial is for the guy who died in an unfortunate forklift incident and the ceo was just murdered in a normal way. The blood is less clear, unless you count the insane amounts of red liquid kyle has to clean up.
@@alpho789 it could've also been jam, as Daryl even points out. (Which means Kyle would've had to go on an unseen lunch break)
Or, that it was the "Vampire" guy Kyle talks about when looking at the garlic and stake collectibles.

they simultaneously made me feel really bad for daryl while also having me think he deserved the ending… kyle might need some therapy after that
I like the reversal of a game where you’re hiding not from the monsters, but because you are the monster
The fact you can have a pacifist route actually makes me want to see the game having branching storylines.
Seeing how things go if Daryl did not kill anyone, kill a number of them, and kill lots of them.
so according to his thoughts, he's still prone to attacking civilians when the moon is full. 20:52 lol that doodle of him and that guard

Kyle: AAAAAAAHHHHHHH-RAWR!... oh, great, not again.

If I were to write a secret ending for a no-kills run, it would be as follows:
The ending proceeds as normal, until Daryl falls from the rope. It wasn't me, I swear!"
In response Daryl says "You lied to me...all these years. Otherwise, on the honor of my ancestors, I'll die trying!"
Kyle changes his expression from one of pleading melancholy, to that of a dark and grim determination. "Very well then. You leave me no choice..." Kyle tosses Daryl, who lands face first on the pavement. Daryl picks himself up on his hands and knees, and begins to cry while trembling in fear. "I-I knew it. You really are a m-monster. I-it's all over for more me, and I'm in no position to make requests, but...if our friendship meant anything to you, p-please...just make it quick."
Kyle bites Daryl's @$$, and immediately lets go.
I liked that it didn't end as happy as one would expect, but rather that it ended in more ironic and comical ways xD
I hope they do something like this :,p
That would be interesting, but I recently joined the Discord server and they confirmed that in the game's universe lycanthropy is only a hereditary thing and it can't be spread.

Me encanta el final que te inventaste
💯
Daryl went insane even though no one was unalived lmao

Daryl, my dude, a werewolf is cleaning up messes for you. You should have taken it!
Some dude in the trailer's comment section said he looks like rtgames. Now come to think of it...
We need to get RT to play this. ASAP.
Seeing kyle seeming to have a problem and struggling with his own words working at night while as a werecleaner makes me feel bad the way he talks being a friendly werewolf.
The sketch at the credits where Kyle and Daryl are making out feels so buttersweet. Maybe in another world...
I absolutely love this game! It has many things to do with such as the storyline of the game.. The idea of a janitor ( Kyle ) that transforms into a werewolf at night to clean the mess to pay his rent is an awesome idea..! i hope this game has a successful future..
Moral of the story: don’t bully or murder a good doggo when he’s just doing his job and trying to make ends meet.
20:53 note on the right
The devs just made something inevitable to appease the shadow people
Damn, now I just wanna give Kyle a hug after this... and some pets and belly rubs 'cause he definitely deserves it after that.
Gameplay looks like an indie game from 2015, but sounds and cutscenes fell like they are from a flash game from 2012.
That was one hell of a trip.
I love how Daryl's voicelines are just " Habdaba daba gabdababa, hab gadabga han ganana ganadap. Han gana bada!"
He went through all that just for a paycheck of $119? Heck, I would have gone on a murderous rampage doing all that work for that little pay. That better not have been a monthly paycheck.
He only works five minutes a day.
Poor little werewolf needs to report their boss to the NLRB for their blatant labor violations and threatening to withhold payment.
Unfortunately, I get the feeling there's something in this fucked up economy that protects shit like this.
Well, he ended up eating the CEO, so I guess that's one way to solve that.

I enjoyed the Collectibles part because it actually gave me insight into more of the failure conditions of the game.
Ngl I really wish there's a plot twist that Kyle isn't the one who murder people, it was someone else and they try to frame Kyle for it
And the actual killer is Daryl and he isn't aware that he is the werewolf that's been killing his co-workers
...Almost this whole game takes place at night. Full-moon nights.
I think more people would be mauled (if Daryl's mental state in anything to go by) if he was a werewolf too.
Especially since it doesn't even have to be a full moon in that world, apparently.
They shell have an another ending when he didn't kill anyone. So that he can save the night guard.
Yes, so like, if you saved everyone from seeing you, than Kyle would be able to withstand his hunting instincts and save Daryl!
Thanks for the guide and no commentary version, including all cutscenes etc X3
