For every one person that calls Gordon a jerk I bet there are 1000 that say he is an awesome mentor and so nice to people who he thinks he can help. He has a heart unlike so many. I can't help but to love what he does for other people. Forget Hell's Kitchen he's tough there but outside of that this guy has a heart of gold.
I would pay 100 quid if they put it on Box Office, just say...Jonathan Ross, Gordon Ramsay, Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Carr and Karl Pilkington having a 4 hour chat. I would pay so much money.
Not sure how I ended up wanting to watch this particular upload again, but glad I did....Every time I watch Jonathan Ross, I fall more and more in love with his amazing skill. I enjoy watching the way he deals with some of the most difficult personalities and he takes the piss right out of them. I've never seen any other interviewer genuinely and sincerely get away with pulling it off so successfully and with such fun. Forever a wossy fan!
What I love about this video is that Ramsay doesn't get truly serious till the cooking is starting up because tv makes a lot of money and cooking is a great life skill and passion to have, he just found a way to do both.
Given Ramsay's reputation and temperment, I find it incredible how well Ross handles him. He handled all his guests with such humour and skill, but he could be with very difficult people and still firmly stand his ground. Brilliant!

When I was younger, I always thought Gordon Ramsay and Simon Cowell were the same person. Same accent, slightly same face, same dark humour, and same dark side.
Gordon says he can't dance, but in (I think it was) the La Gondola episode, he's shown dancing for a few seconds, and he gives every sign of being graceful. At least as good a dancer as the average guy (not a high bar).

I am from the States, and i now live in England. Shoe sizes are different--they are actually two sizes SMALLER in England. So in the States, Gordon's shoe size would be a 17 :)
the chefs that walk out of his kitchen with their own restaurant are always going to be looked at as his greatest products and they carry his reputation so if they are not up to par with him, his reputation and career, which happens to be the career that puts food on his family's table, will go to shit. he makes sure that under THE most stressful environments that his chefs will be able to put out quality dishes. there is nothing wrong with trying to protect what you've got.
That spark he got as soon as Jonathan asked him to cook. That's true passion. So much admiration for this man.
Ramsey is always funny. A real character imo. Would deffo inspire as a leader - much respect for this guy for some reason !
