Paul, I don't often comment on videos but felt I had to after someone complained this is "just" a review. I couldn't disagree more! I absolutely love your radio related videos, whether or not they're reviews. It's great as well that you and your partner have a shared hobby in radio. I wish my wife was half as keen! Please keep doing what you're doing. I'd much rather watch a video you've enjoyed making. Maybe one day we'll have a QSO - I'd like that. 73 Matt M0PTO
I tested mine with a fellow ham buddy's Chameleon antenna and except for his being a bit quieter we received the same signal reports. For the bucks, it's a great little POTA antenna.
You taking the time to review a product saves me money that might be poorly spent on a product that doesn't live up to its claims. Your reviews have been honest and I appreciate that. ☮️ brother.
Paul, a follow-up on my purchase. The antenna arrived tonight and is very well made. Preliminary testing reveals it seems to work pretty well. Wonder if you're got any info on the second untapped coil that turns it into an 80m vertical? k6whp
just received mine; I find the slider is extremely hard to move up and down. Do you have a suggestion to fix this problem without taking the coil apart?
I love my JPC-12! I use it for a somewhat permanent antenna at my home QTH as I have a really small backyard and I don't have the money for a DX Commander at the moment. The JPC-12 has bagged me hundreds of contacts both in digital modes and SSB. I can't wait to use it this summer to do activations for POTA and WWFF (like pota but includes places like historic mills and other sites not in POTA). Paul, I have to say that I for one enjoy ALL of your content you produce. While a lot of your educational videos are old news to me (because I'm already educated in electronics) I still enjoyed watching them. I was hoping you'd start to do more amateur radio videos and you have and I think that's fantasic! Keep up the GREAT work. de VA3DVY 73
I was talking about that very thing with a friend yesterday. I don't see any reason this can't be installed in a semi permanent way. That's even how my dipole is. When I need to cut the grass, I unhook my dipole coax from the lead coming out of the house and get the wire off the ground.
So why did they use 3/8 x 20 threads instead of the fairly standard 3/8 x 24 threads on all their stuff. Now it is incompatable with all mu other coils and whips. Very stupid ... cant even use it on my mag mounts ... sending it back for refund as all my mounts are 3/8 x 24 thread.
I understand the need to make money, I really do. But you have turned into a review channel. You were easily my favorite electronics guy on here, you explained things so an old guy like me could understand. But it's time to move on. I wish you nothing but the best. You taught me a lot.
Nope, I'm just making videos of things I enjoy now. So when the money dried up, I lost the incentive to come up with lessons and spend hours answering questions for no money. So If I'm going to make videos, and for the time being I am, they will be about things I enjoy. I'm sorry you don't like it.

I'm studying for my tech license. Cool video!
OK, Paul, better be good! I bought one on your say-so!
Hope you enjoy it!
Am sure I will. Thank you for the review!
lol
Did you get the antenna?
i feel like mad max now
Wonderful - thank you for taking the trouble to do this. 73 Trystan
I just bought the MC-750 from Chelegance. I'm currently waiting for it to arrive!! Hope to be on the air soon!! 73 de KQ4PBL
Have fun!
awesome video !!!
Do you have to use all the black tubes; will one or two less make a difference? Where is the slider placed for 10 meters?
No tubes, no coil... quarter wave for 10meters... works great
How do you bang in the ground spike without ruining the threads?
I use a rubber hammer head

I've heard about the second coil, but I don't have any information on it.

No, it is tight. I haven't tried adjusting it. Are you able to move it at all?
@@learnelectronics it does slide, but not easy. thanks
I like that.

This is a copy of Buddipole’s “Buddistick PRO”.

adapter?
@@learnelectronics Where do you find these adapters? ... you would need 6 of them.
I can't find any. I'm sorry, I thought someone would make them.

@@learnelectronics I thought you enjoyed teaching, my bad. Best of luck in the future, I wish you well.
