Can I just say that Season 2 of Taskmaster MN stands up there as among the best of any of the Taskmaster seasons. It was so fun to watch! I think Alex needs to steal some of these tasks because they are sooo good. The amount of time and skill on display by David is just amazingly impressive.
Season 1 was difficult to understand because of the sound issues, but now that you got lav mics, I could recommend this to anyone. As someone from MN, this makes me happy. Can we please get these people a million dollar grant to make more?
That was way better than it had any right to be. David, you did a phenomenal job of coming up with tasks.
Seriously, give it up for David doing not one, but TWO seasons of this now.
That's dedication, and passion.
Thank you, David!
🧡
David deserves his flowers so much this whole production was so phenomenally well done
If there's a season 3 the contestants better give David water to drink as stated in tradition
When* there’s a season 3. It has to happen
I’m so damn happy with myself that I predicted Eric would tell David about tardigrades.
David has the charisma of Alex for sure. Season 2 has shown a beautiful growth of every part of the show. The contestants were great in the tasks and their interactions with David were golden. As a big fan of original task master it makes me unspeakably happy to see some creative blokes making more of this magic here in the midwest. Thank you everyone involved in this, thank you studio audience, thank you fellow youtubers watching this.
Great work.
I’d like to tip my hat to David and the whole cast for giving us a true American Taskmaster adaptation!
Also loved both Ian wearing his robe for the finale and Eric getting his individual task.
The board game segment literally made me laugh so hard I cried real tears. David, your comedic timing skills in video editing and as the "co-host/assistant" are on such an incredible level. I prefer this series over a large number of professional comedy productions. I hope we can see you producing or hosting (or both) professionally some day! Your talents would be a blessing to any agency. Also, its truly incredible how good you are at giving off "Alex Horne" energy.
Thank you very much!
I keep returning to this episode specifically for that segment and the live task. 💚
What a ride. Absolutely INSANE job editing and assembling this all together basically all by yourself, David. You've completely outdone a professional show on cable (the US spinoff) and made a viewing experience that rivals the original - where I'm going to guess their budget and staff is sliiiiightly increased over yours. Alex Horne shouldn't sue you, he should HIRE you to make a proper spinoff. College Taskmaster? Reboot of the US Taskmaster?
Either way, it's been amazing watching this, and simply offering congratulations seems insufficient. So, instead, I'll just say
DON'T LOOK AT ME!
Thank you so much, very kind words!
Yep, give this man a real budget, like yesterday.
That tradition task was perfect. That was so funny and clever, that was a brilliant creation. Good on David for keeping the tradition alive
Watching David do a cartwheel was pure joy
"I'll play what he's playing." This task reminded me that Improv Everywhere did a mission where they had multiple couples recreate that scene in the actual deli it was filmed in. What fun to watch it again!
So sad to see this series end it's genuinely one of the best seasons of Taskmaster (and I say that as someone who's watched all seasons of UK, NZ and Australia), it's been so fun watching it week to week. I hope there's another season, but at the same time, for the sake of David's bank account, maybe not for a little bit.
I WOULD PAY!!!
As a big Taskmaster fan, I can't believe it took me this long to get around to watching this incredible labour of love, congratulations David and everyone else involved! In this episode, I particularly loved the previous Taskmaster occurences on the white board, especially "stop telling your team there's been a revelation in the lab" I'm also glad you provided a way to support you in the description, coffees have been purchased - keeping all my fingers crossed for S3
Thank you very much for watching and enjoying and for your generosity! Enjoyed your comments over the last week!
I mean, no scary monster sound that Parker made would have lived up to _boisvert standards, so "Hey, it's Bigfoot." was brilliant.
Season 3. Your time starts NOW!
I'm studying TV production at uni at the moment and I'm just shaken by the clear display of absolute passion poured into every element of this series. It's a reminder that the best work is made from love, huge budgets be damned. I know all too well just how much of a logistical nightmare this must have been (not to mention a monolithic edit). Your task design is particularly outstanding, someone on the show proper should have you on their radar for a new NA version.
Huge congratulations, take that well earned long looooong break!
This is seriously up in my books as on par with any official version - amazing tasks, banter, just funny all round, thank you so much for putting it together!
Also Eric's really very competent beatboxing immediately followed by Ben is incredible. Had me on the FLOOR
After Taskmaster and Taskmaster NZ, you are my third favorite Taskmaster series. It's so well done.
same!! im watching nz and minnesota at the same time now:D
I prefer MN over NZ. I can't stand Jeremy as the TM :/
Sorry David/Eric. As animals, Tartigrades are definitely eukaryotes.
Yeah I'm sure Eric told me the right thing, I probably just fucked it up in my demonstration lol
Watching it back, he definitely winced as if in pain when you said it wasn't.
@@TaskmasterMN
I always end up putting off watching the last few episodes of a show if it’s one I really care about. So the fact that it took 2 months for me to finish this season is actually a huge compliment because I just couldn’t bear to see it end! Taskmaster MN is such a joy and inspiration. I’m so glad you decided to go on this journey and share it with the world. It blew my mind hearing you describe on TM: the People’s Podcast just how much of an undertaking this project was and you have my complete respect for it. I’m thankful for the entire Taskmaster MN team and hope to see more great stuff from you in the future, whether related to Taskmaster or otherwise. Thanks again and congrats on completing 2 legendary seasons!
Thank you very much Tim! Your kind words mean a lot!
ohhh i love the last team task, this series is genuinely one of the best seasons of all taskmasters
Cheers to Simon for making the trip. I agree, your show has something a specialness the OG show doesn't have.
Such a brilliant season. Thank you so much to everyone involved, especially David, for putting in so much time, effort, and sometimes suffering. Watching this has been beyond enjoyable and, if it's not too corny to say, inspiring. You are all a bunch of very talented people. I'm sad that it's over and keeping my fingers crossed for a season 3!
Parker pointed out two of my favorite moments: the awesome Brie-David clap music syncing, and how deeply distressed David looked while having to take Ian for what he knew to be a pointless drive.
Cole was cheated on the teaching task scoring. I also like how David managed to handle being thrown to the ground much more gracefully than doing a cartwheel.
Thank you very much!
Listen, my arms really hurt that day
The drinks have made me so happy this entire season. What an amazing payoff
Thank you Bree for dressing up for the finale. THANK YOU DAVID for making this absolute wonder - you've brought genuine joy into my heart and into this world
@@mollybeebee Thank you! But this is the third comment I've seen thanking Brie for putting a suit on for the finale! No one seems to care that Jackson put one on too??
@@TaskmasterMN i did notice that! jackson, if you're reading this, you looked snazzy! (brie too)
@@TaskmasterMN But did anybody notice that Parker's sweatshirt had coat tails?!
Can't complain about the reuse of the Noise task, insanely funny. This was genuinely better than several seasons of the REAL show and that's saying something. Here's to all the contestants, a congrats to David for killing it and Brie for winning, and Carter - you better stick around if there's a S3 because you and David's banter really carried the studio. So good. 10/10
Phenomenal! If there ends up being a 3rd season I can't imagine how much more fun stuff you can come up with.
Another amazing episode and excellent close to an excellent season!!!
Parker and Jackson's "tradition" had me laughing so hard, but the David drinking water thing was so great! I had no idea what the heck that was up until the video started for Brie and Eric's task. Eric's rage at the stickers was very taskmaster, had me laughing too! Eric's beatboxing was truly awesome, as was Ben's impersonations during the live task.
Also, the mounties have been trying to get ride of Cole since they caught him, but he just won't go away!!!!
Wow! Sad that the season is ending but blown away by what you have been able to do, David. This show is truly a testament to how far passion and creativity can take a production. I just know that there were hundreds of hours of work going into making it and you should be so proud of the amazing thing you created! Seriously, this has been one of my favorite seasons of any kind of taskmaster and definitely made me laugh the hardest! Congratulations to everyone involved, and especially to David for his fantastic cartwheel.
the water drinking tradition did not win 5 points??? it was hilarious and i loved how it made all the episodes better
Great job David! I cant imagine how much work this took, but you made it happen. Loved every second of it!
Just for the record: David's taste in board games is exquisite.
Well done, guys! You did an outstanding job.
David, thank you for another amazing season of Taskmaster MN, all the work you put in is greatly appreciated by us all!
Also as a German I've been wondering what Ian's connection to Germany was because of the Germany related clothing Ian has been wearing throughout the season. Both of you did quite well with your German. Bretzeln and Bier await you if you ever come to this side of the world!
What an absolute banger of a final episode. Huge congrats to Brie the champion and to you David for making genuinely one of my favourite seasons of any taskmaster incarnation. Thursdays are gonna be a lot more boring now
I dunno, my family's been observing David-kissing-board-games-and-moaning for generations. I think it's Latvian?
No but really, what a phenomenal finale for a phenomenal season of the Official and Only American Taskmaster!
This is really good, I had fun staying up until 3am watching both seasons XDD
I loved everything about this, cant wait for season 3 (hopefully)
Thank you for that Minnesota Long Goodbye, aka the cartwheel. I didn’t want this to end (but I hope David can get some sleep now). Congratulations to everyone on this masterpiece!!!!
Truly an incredible finale for the season. Most of the OG recent seasons have had an ep or two that was a bit lackluster, but you guys brought everything you had and gave us banger after banger. This season was the thing I looked forward to seeing every Thursday after an incredibly stressful week of intensive classes for work, and it never failed to make me laugh and give my brain the break it needed.
Thank you David, you're an absolute legend. Thanks for making a US Taskmaster we can all be proud to call our own.
An absolute masterpiece of a season. Huge kudos to David for putting together something so incredible. Time for a well deserved break from editing but I must add to the choir of voices saying a season 3 would be delightful, because the show now has the audio and video quality to keep up with the humor and task design and make for an experience rivalling the original show. It's going to be sad going into next week without a new TMMN to look forward to on Thursday. I even found myself missing David when I was watching CoC3 from the original show (which may be sacrilege). Thank you for over 8 hours of incredible content and congrats on a great season!
I'm so glad you put the cartwheel in at the end. Best part of the show
I've been binging these episodes for the last couple of days. They are perfect! I'm so happy i found this!
This was an amazing showing. The cast were incredible to watch and I'd love to see them again. Clean camera work and editing. The lake cabin is beautiful and a prime location for shenanigans. But most importantly, every task seemed to have a somthing special and you really committed to the assistant role (as is tradition).
Feels like any significant improvement to technical quality would require a small production. With your dedication and talent for game and visual design, it may be worthwhile persuit. An official Taskmaster UA-cam edition would be amazing with the right support and vision.
Congrats to you, the team and Brie. Best of luck to everyone with their studies and hopefully a season 3.
Outstanding season everyone! But seriously David, go take a nap. And another one after that.
Eric would have definitely been my pick for someone to be given a solo task.
The sticker task was originally written for Jackson! Until I filmed the apartment tasks with Eric, and I decided he needed a solo task, so I moved that task to him and moved the insults to Jackson (which was originally written for Ian). Very pleased with how everything spun out.
Congratulations on a wonderful second season! Even if this is the last Taskmaster: Minnesota we get, it was a real treat from beginning to end.
"Are we making koroks?"
Brie, you are my new favorite person.
Really fun season! You guys caught the attention of a couple of Canadians who were just randomly looking for more taskmaster content online. Honestly we liked this better than some of the other official spinoffs! Hope you keep making it 😊
Hear, hear!
The Koala PSA had me rolling
Thank you for another season of Taskmaster MN, David and everyone in the team! It was a real blast. As with any other iteration of Taskmaster, I thought how could the contestants and tasks live up to the standards set up by the previous season(s). Once again, I enjoyed the new tasks and found the contestants really relatable in their own ways. The tradition task had me puzzled throughout this season and it paid off in the end. Seeing some of TM MN season 1 contestants in the live segments was a really nice surprise and a great way to have them involved in TM MN season 2. Ben going for the pun which Carter set up was priceless :)
David you've really gone above and beyond! Taskmaster Minnesota is something special - all the best for whatever you do in the future 👏
Fav moment of the episode had to be the live task, it was every bit as funny as I hoped 😂
Thank you David for the amount of time and effort you put into this, it was well worth it! As many others have said, this is up there with the official versions of Taskmaster, and this may be my favorite season of Taskmaster in general! The instrument task and tradition tasks had me in actual tears of laughter. Thanks for all your hard work, and I hope there will be another season, though I would understand if there were not.
The musical instrument and the pickle sandwich tasks had me dying of laughter!!
this has been an incredible series - it’s legitimately one of my top three series of all time! I hope you all had as great a time making it as I did watching it. to david in particular - this show is absolutely incredible and I’m amazed at how high quality it is. thank you so much for all the effort you put into it and I look forward to a potential season three!
Excellent job as always, David & Co.! I thoroughly enjoyed this season, as well as the first one. I agree with the English gentleman in the beginning, TM Minnesota is just as good as TM UK: from the ingenuity of the original tasks, to the superb editing, to the in-studio banter, to the surprise cameos... It is definitely on par with the original TM, and personally, I even liked it better than most international versions! I hope there are more seasons to come, even if we have to collectively fund it. All the best to David, Luke, Carter, and all of the TM contestants -whom I've grown very fond of! You're all a delight to watch. I hope you all remain close and just as fun :)
Thank you very much! Your thoughts mean a lot!
It's lucky for David (and all of us viewers) that his contestants haven't seen NZ, this version of leave the room was very funny.
Echoing all the other comments here - congrats to all involved on such a great production! David you are incredible for making this happen. The tasks, editing and production are just flawless!
Special shout out to taskmaster Carter, he killed it
this is truly one of the best series I have seen in any version of Taskmaster, the tasks were incredible, and this final episode was a complete banger. Great job to all
AGREE
I was asleep instead of watching as soon as this went live at 3am UK time but I have now caught up and as ever much congratulate you David, especially, on a magnificent episode and series. You also have a wonderful circle of friends and I hope and wish for you all every success in your endeavors going forward and hope to stay friends forever and continue an annual TM get together if only for your own benefit. But if you can get together a third season at some point I will be watching as avidly as i have both s1 and s2. Well done!
A true joy. Thank you all for sacrificing yourselves for humor!
Hilarious and truly captures the soul of Taskmaster. David must have done the work of about fifteen or twenty people to make it this good. Great original tasks and some of the redo tasks were even better than the originals. Thank you all for making this!
David you must really love board games!
Not anymore. Lol. David has great improv!
Incredibly fun and entertaining! The joy and effort that everyone involved has put into making this really shows and it was an absolute pleasure to watch! Thanks so much and greetings from Austria.
Ok I gotta make my obligatory “I never comment but I gotta express how great this is” comment
Absolutely fantastic season, probably up there for me with UK s7 and NZ s2. As a nerdy American young adult, the humor clicked with me from the first episode. I love the contestants, all of the callbacks, the new tasks and the use of old ones. Some of my favorite tasks were the pizza one, the balloon one, and the bowling one. This was clearly and huge undertaking and a labor of love, thank you David and co. for all of your hard work!! :D
Thank you David for your tremendous work, and to all people involved, I’m gonna miss you and will be patiently waiting for the Taskmaster Minnesota season 3
This was my favourite episode of the whole series. THANK YOU FOR THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE ❤️❤️
Watched the entire season 3 times.
Brilliant. Thank you for the great laughs! Doing a taskmaster-esque competition thingy with your friends may or may not be hard, but the amount of titanic effort you put into the production value with proper filming and editing to bring your shenanigans onto the internet for strangers to enjoy is absolutely astounding.
The Taskmaster 101 tips are really helpful. Just in case you get invited to play a game of Taskmaster.
Genuinely the best fan taskmaster in existence! A joy to watch!
Bravo! What an amazingly glorious season. Thank you for all the hard work you put into it. And "Hey, it's Bigfoot" made me laugh as hard as any moment in any series. Great job!
This has been great. I hope LAH gets a chance to see this, because if they do a real Taskmaster US version, you really would be an outstanding choice for it. Great thinking with that live task, giving the audience a reaction so they wouldn't ruin it - that was smart! I can't wait until next season and if you decide to put together a virtual writers' room to come up with tasks, I'd love to be part of it.
I hope you guys do a season 3 😭😭😭😭 💕💕💕💕
This show has been very entertaining and very well produced. David and his friends look like a fun and interesting group of people and probably would be great to sit down and have a beer with. I hope you and your friends decide to do a 3rd season at some point or a different type of show. I picture everyone having to live in a cabin for a month or two together "Big Brother" style performing different challenges and voting people out. Thanks for a great season and I look forward to seeing what you do next.
Wow, great season. So much work clearly went into this, thanks for putting this together and I hope you get a chance to do more!
I've absolutely loved watching this series, and i hope that there will be more in the future. It's been one of the most fun and inspiring things to watch for me and i'm sure many people would look to this for inspiration for their own Fanmade Taskmasters.
Also I am now terrified of the majestic cry of the Bigfoot
ahh man!!!! this series was such a joy to watch, big congrats and thank you for all the hard work🎉🎉
Just phenomenal all around
Ian was robbed!! If you "pick up" an item from a place, if can totally include transporting it (e.g., I'm going to pick up the laundry; I'm picking up the cake tomorrow). #justiceforian lol
Not if it’s illegal to transport the cake without throwing it!
Thank you for your comment, but you are wrong
A brilliant season! I love this as much as the original Taskmaster. Congrats, David and crew. Well done! I know it's a lot of work but if you have it in you to do a season 3, I'll be here to watch.
Top tier editing, top tier creativity!
Cole is wrong, David and Ben were right about the frisbee throwing task. If you have traveled 20 meters, and then throw half that distance (10 meters), your total is 30 meters, which then gets halved for a score of 15. You need to throw just over the full distance already traveled. This doubles your distance (to 40) and then it gets halved (back to 20).
As all people involved in the explanation were math majors, let me 1-up them. I'm a Math Ph.D. :)
Except for me, I'm not a math major!
I'd love to see a season 3 in which Simon visits again and has to do a task!
Well done to all on Season 2.
Ha ha! Maybe if it was a new years special, but I couldn't compete with these guys & gals they are really quick & sharp
great cartwheel, david
(thanks for another fantastic season)
Thank you David and team for an amazing season 2!
this was AMAZING you did such a good job throughout the whole season!! Truly remarkable, I am super appreciative of all the hard work you put into this! WELL DONE AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THE LAUGHS!!
Феноменальный таскмастер, на уровне с оригинальными UK, австралийским и NZ! Мое почтение. Подыграли Бри с середины сезона, вытянули на чемпиона)
Really good David; that's such an achievement!
You've done such an amazing job with this.
Thoroughly enjoyed this season! Thanks for all your hard work David.
OMG! Best thing to watch on UA-cam or anywhere! You are all so great. Love love love Minnesota Taskmaster! Please please keep making these amazing videos.
well done everybody!! congrats!!! hope to see a season 3!
Does anyone know the name of the art shown at 56:20?
That's a custom piece Parker made for me!
Another fun season. Do we get a third? 😁
Again in all seriousness I don't think it can be overstated how much time and effort and coordination goes into making this and making this at the level you all have. Thank you.
Love the show! So sad it is over. Thank you for your hard work. You truly have an amazing talent. Hope to see a season 3!
Thank you so much for making this series. It was truly a joy to watch.
So well done! Thank you for all the hardwork, this was really fun to watch.
Incredible job to everyone, especially David! I had so much fun watching this season.
This is what I needed this morning
THANK YOU!
i'm gonna miss you all! banger finale and thanks for 2 amazing seasons
