Im no Bose guy, either as far as home theater, etc. However, no one does small like Bose, I've got to give them that. I have the quiet comfort earbuds, the flex and a sound link. They're hard to beat for great sound in a small package.
Thank you again, Jonathan for another informative review. I received a Bose Sloundlink Flex for Christmas from one of my clients as a thank you for my work for them last year. I will preface this by saying I do have a Bose ecosystem in my home including the Bose Soundtouch Speakers in my home office/guest room. I am a consultant and trainer for end users and their tech, so I think it is important that the technology being used, matches the needs of the user and their environment. That having been said, I am loving this little speaker! I have several portable speakers that I have used over the years for both work ( portable presentations) and for pleasure (sitting out back on the patio). This is smaller than my JBL Charge 3 (which has been my favorite to take on the family beach vacation or to the vineyards). The smaller size doesn't compromise on the sound that my family and I enjoy during the firepit parties or sitting by the friend's pool (and I don't worry about it sinking in the pool, should it fall in the water. This is my second Bose portable speaker (I own a Soundwear Compainion speaker), but this is one that everyone will enjoy. I haven't tested the speakerphone call quality yet, but so far it does what I like and want from a portable speaker incredibly well. I may opt to purchase a second one (since this was a gift ) for the party mode effect for this year's upcoming vacation with my family. It is currently connected to my laptop as I write this response as I play some instrumental jazz here in my home office. I thoroughly enjoy your channel and reviews. Happy New Year to you. Looking forward to more of your content.

How do you find they compare in terms of their sound volume and portability? I obviously know that the sound quality itself will be noticeably higher. I’m currently trying to decide between the Soundlink Flex, Flip 6, Wonderboom 3 and Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 with portability being a huge factor.
I bought one today so looking forward to receiving it. I have the soundlink mini 2, had this for 6 years and i still love this but wanted to try the flex. For me, i am happy without the built in equaliser as most android phones and music streaming apps have a built in equaliser so its all good😉👌

We are replacing our Gen 1 SoundLink which we absolutely loved. It just starts randomly shutting off now but hey, its gotta be pushing 15 years old now. We tried replacing it with the Revolve and then the Flex and while I agree that the Flex is a great sounding portable speaker, both the Revolve and the Flex suffered from connection issues -with our phones literally right beside the speaker. Wondering if I just got 2 bad units, or if this is normal? The sound would just drop while playing Spotify -the song would continue playing on the device, and when the connection resumed, it would just keep playing, but it was REALLY annoying. This happened with by my wife's and my iPhones and it would happen a LOT -in a 1 hour hot tub session, it would happen 5 or 6 times, consistently. Did we just get two bad eggs? Thanks for the review! Trying to decide between Soundlink Flex, JBL 6, and Sonos. I'm having a party at a beach house this summer - and want to play music (some indie rock, some classical) throughout the house and even outside in yard (not AT the beach). I also want to use the speaker for audio when we watch movies projected on a wall/side of house. I'll probably buy two so I can get stereo. My biggest concern is that there's no Wifi on the Bose and we'd have to rely on bluetooth, plus no way to use it while it's charging. Lots of professional (classical) musicians and audiophiles at the party. Thoughts? Thank you!!
@@mathaijoel Hello, It's in July, so we're still planning. BUT, we opted to splurge on the Sonos Move. We bought one already and love it. Seems like a good choice for a high quality party sound and home sound system. Thank you for asking! I love the Smart Home reviews!
Choosing a speaker is a personal preference for sound. One thing that would help me decide is to also speak t what kind of music the speaker does best..classical, jazz, or other. I am looking for a Bluetooth speaker but still haven't decided.

Hi I came across your comment and I purchased that Marshall speaker and sent it back it was a really good deal on T-Mobile and I thought I would try it out because I love to have a good amount of Bluetooth portable speakers it was some of the worst audio quality the bass was non-existent and even with the equaliser on my iPhone 12th pro max it sounded like crap I just thought I would let you know because they had first hand experience with the speaker and it was only one of the only Bluetooth speakers I have ever sent back to get a refund for just thought I’d let you know cheersg

Ah, ok.
Cheers.
Definitely better than most JBL’s and Bose specifically on Battery life and quality of sound. Marshall is just an all around solid speaker
Not sure bt 4
W is limiting on range. I mean UE boom 3 can do about 45m and also has bt 4.2
Which one should I get the Sonos Roam or Bose flex ?
Video comparison coming soon!
A very helpful video to help me with my speaker selection. Thank You .
witch one is better the soundlink flex or Beoplay A1 2nd
Bought one today. I was staggered to find that there is no way to adjust bass or treble!! It goes back tomorrow.
Your great analysis prompted me to buy one yesterday. Bought it at Sam's for $120.
Hope you enjoy it!
Just got it for free on prime day after using 1 Amex point and a 10 dollar credit i had on my amazon account plus for prime day it was 30% off. Glad i waited till today to get it.
You guys do such excellent reviews, thank you very much!!
I got the magnetic silicone case to protect the speaker in man what a way to go
Hi, thanks for the great review.. I was waiting for the microphone review in the video but i think it was not clear what I heard in the video.. Did Emily say she was able to hear it better than the phone speaker ? asking because i m considering Flex to use for my office calls.. thank you! Do you think the microphone is good for speaking hands free calls ?
i brought bose sound flex, it really sounds well but when i connected to samsung smart tv, it sounds very low eventhough 100% volume pumped. but same tv sounds well with jbl bluetooth speaker.
plz resolve my query
I really want to buy that Bose speaker.. how iam gona purchase the Bose speaker.
This , revolve plus 2 or roam ?
Thoughts? Thank you!!
Oh, and also considering Charge 5.
And how did the party go?
@@mathaijoel Hello, It's in July, so we're still planning. BUT, we opted to splurge on the Sonos Move. We bought one already and love it. Seems like a good choice for a high quality party sound and home sound system. Thank you for asking! I love the Smart Home reviews!
@@noelinma8838how’d the party go lol 😂?
Choosing a speaker is a personal preference for sound. One thing that would help me decide is to also speak t what kind of music the speaker does best..classical, jazz, or other. I am looking for a Bluetooth speaker but still haven't decided.
Hey can you do a review on the soundlink max
Hi, I am considering to buy 2 for stereo but I saw a comment about latency especially when watch videos.
I usually watch youtube videos, how is the stereo mode with youtube app? Is there any problem about latency?
Thank you!
Great sound. Great bass response. Connectivity with two speakers sucks. Very finicky to establish connection to the second one.
What about this Bose Vs the Sonos Roam?
Is it better than the old model soundlink 3?or even the Revolve speaker
Yes it is better 😀
I've got my one delivered two days ago, and for a decent person, they won't hear the difference between lot cheaper one like Anker.
But for people who care its amazing choice.
Girls. If your boyfriend play music, as I do, he will love you to bits for this one.
Best gift I could imagine for DJ or musician.
Great review. Answered all my questions. I agree with the three likes and two dislikes. I actually like the design. Keep up the great reviews... From San Antonio Texas.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
First day getting Bose Flex, I dont want to sleep because the sound is too good.
Thank You for this video, very nice overview of the BOSE Soundlink Flex!
Glad it was helpful!
Wait until you see the Flex Max just introduced. I thought the Flex was nice, but the Max really blows it away.
is it really 12Watts?
Wow! That speaker sounds amazing! 😊😊😊😊😊 fantastic review.
How about sound?
I got one today !!
Had the Flex and returned it right away, not to my expectations, Soundcore Motion Plus is a better speaker.
Does anyone know if sound is supposed to come out of the back grill as well?
That grill looks blocked (solid with no holes). No sound from this grill in my unit so I am not sure if got a defective one.
Please help anyone before I return it to Amazon.
Does this have an alexa built in voice command?
Is the Bluetooth function hardware or software ? I.e can it be updated ? Great video!
Nice review! Are you try turn on the speaker remotely? No body talk about that and it’s a very cool feature.
