      You are making the biggest mistake of your life .
      The people here will treat you like dirt . you will never get a job and you will be rubbed off your money before you even know .
      The people in slovenia don't speak English and refer to english speakers as strangers and treat them poorly .
      This is not the west nor Europe . this is not anything near what they advertise .
      There is no culture here .
      YOU WILL BE RUBBED OFF YOUR MONEY AND INSULTED AND THEN THROWN AWAY LIKE GARBAGE.
      You don't believe me ?
      Come and see for yourself .

      morris kgn Hiya! In my experience (lived here for a year now) people have been very kind to me personally. I never had a problem going out alone to the city or countryside areas.. Also I do have to say it is difficult to find a job here as a native English speaker at first, but if you’re persistent like I was everything is possible. The country has helped me push myself out my comfort zone and actually become more healthy and fit as I feel safer to go out in nature 😊 Everyone has their own perspective, so I believe everyone should experience life here themselves..👍🏼😊

    I was a couple of days in Slovenia in 2017 and, despite it was a very short trip, it was the most vertiginous I've ever, hahah. I got sick to my stomach so I spent almost 2 days at the hospital. So unfortunately I couldn't experiment much of the country itself -although I was hosted by a local. At least I knew on the first hand people's kindness and efficiency when treating an ill person. They were reaaally straight to the point in comparison to my culture (Chile, Latino), but I'm still very thankful. The fact that everybody spoke English helped me A LOT, otherwise I don't know what I'd have done. I hope to come back one day!

    • @Jo_thi
      @Jo_thi  4 роки тому +2

      Awhh that's ashame to get sick while travelling, I can relate but not to that extent lol. When I used to travel back and forth from England to Slovenia, I always used to end up ill at and to stay home during my stay. I think it was due to the stress for me as I would travel alone lol. Now I am fine thankfully travelling haha. I am glad you also had a pleasant experience with the people here, as I have. They are happy to help which I also appreciate, and if one person doesn't know English they are happy to find someone who does to help, which is great! :D

    Some thoughts on "Jezus Marija" btw: I feel like that's an expression more commonly used in the countryside/villages. I'm from a city and haven't really heard it much around (and when I did, it was always an elderly person saying it). Just saying "oh my god" (in English, because some English expressions have found their way into our informal language) is very common among the younger generation (especially in the cities). 🙂
