I just started receiving all these parts; question: if you mount the mobo tray at the highest point in the case is there still room at the top for a push pull radiator??
Helped me out with all the connector cases after three days of struggling! Thanks!!
Glad to help!
Thanks so much for this in depth explanation. Did my build this weekend. Your video was critical in building this. Not getting thermal throttling. Case is clean and looks amazing with all the great infinity fans along with this very cool LCD AIO Cooler from Lian Li. Also did it in reverse mode.
Glad to hear I helped! Thanks for watching
I started a build in this case yesterday! In the process now so great timing!
Perfect!
few days before i do my new build in the mini, in preparation of that i found your video for sl v2 fans setup earlier and now this one even if it's not for the mini !
You'll definitely be my virtual assistant for that build 😅
I aim to please.
I always find it interesting when people mount the GPU anyt way other than just the classic Horizontal way Because I wanted to have the nice big back plate showing where I could make an acrylic cover for it with custom art on it. But I also do see some of the appeal of other ways.
I feel like Lian Li missed an opportunity with their new XL case to make a 420 aio to properly fill the case. I think the highlight of the case being upright gpu mount and 140mm fans with a 420mm radiator capacity...
Absolutely. I quintuple checked there was no 420 galahad before going with the thermaltake th420. Still cool, but i will likely replace the fans with uni infinities to match the rest of the case fans in the future.
I put a 420mm corsair aio and fit with extra room
Agreed. The Galahad II Lcd as a 420mm aio would be SIIIICCCKKK
thank you for showing the connection process. its what I have been looking for.
Glad to help. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
Fabulous video - thanks :) Really nice delivery too. I'm a video producer so know that this makes a big difference. Well done.
Thank you.
Just bought this case, looking forward to building tomorrow (Easter build). Greatly appreciate the vid, as always.🙏🐰
Have fun!
perfect timing, going to do a 011 Evo XL Build in weeks lol
Thank you for putting this video together!
Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you appreciated enough to subscribe 🦐
you thanks man i have already built a pc like 3 years ago and im building a new one soon. i have worked and now i can build a god pc if you want to know the specs then i will tell you but i really appreciate this video bc it does help me when im building one again.
Got this case coming tomorrow can not wait to build in it just wish they would make the 140 mm reverse fans..
Agreed.
I have 17 Total Fans in this Case with 14 SL UNI V2 Fans, but I’m gonna swap to Infinity.
You could
Top
3 Reversed 120mm (Intake) or 6 if you do a Push/Pull Config (Intake)
Side
3 140mm (Exhaust)
Bottom
3 Reversed 120mm (Intake)
Rear
1 or 2 120mm (Exhaust)
Great video! Thanks for the detail!
Thanks for watching
This is definitely looking to be my next case but prefer it in black, been a fan of corsair cases for a while current owner of the 500D SE, but the case has no room for cable management, this is a full tower case but seems quite small for a full tower, its closer to a mid tower case.
What a video Prawn. Thank you. This video inspired me to ditch my new build with a Y70 non-touch (within the 30 day return policy) and put it all inside this beautiful EVO XL case. Also ordered the 140mm Infinity fans as well. I do have a H150i Link LCD 360mm I was going to keep and top mount the radiator where I can't see those fans but may end up getting the same AIO from Lian Li. I'll have to see if it's noticeable enough to bother me but I do like the H150i link setup with no wires coming out of it (i don't think it performs as well as the lian li aio though). Anyway, awesome video and thanks again.
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy
Great video, about to do a similar one myself, could you make a video on how to use multi Lian Li controller hubs with L-connect ? :)
I am building my PC with this case right now, thank you for the video, I shall use it as a guide. Maybe with a little better cable management though ;-)
Haha
I upgraded to the EVO XL from the EVO and I love it with some exception.
1. PSU Installation: Not being able to put it wherever you want is a HUGE STEP BACKWARDS.
2. SSD/HDD Bays: I don’t use them, but them changing the access point was unnecessary. Being able to Install/Uninstall from the back of the Case was the best method.
3. Cable Management:
- Case hits home a lot of ways, but.
- The Cable Pathways on the side, particularly the Top one should be Longer (Vertically) and slightly Wider (Horizontal)
- PSU being forced to the Middle affects freedom.
4. Vertical GPU Mount does not have the support Bar that you screw into the Motherboard Slot and the GPU bracket included don’t work on Vertical GPU’s.
5. Fans: You should be able to put 4 120’s on Top, Side, & Bottoms.
6. Cable Buckles: Should have included more cable or be allowed to buy separately
He shows in another video that 4 120mm fans do fit but for some reason it doesn't show in the manual. I'm currently doing 4 myself, will let you know how it goes if you want?
@@kinneydyt yeah I read that you can make 4 Fit as long as you use fans that interlock
Very cool build. The explanation is very good but i have one question. I have 360 GA II inf AIO with controller and i have plug in x6 reverse inf (ch1 and Ch2), x3 AIO fans (ch3), x1 inf back fan (ch4) but for the front rgb stip is no other port for. I know that i could plug it to mobo 5v argb but how to sync all the light's including front rgb from L-software?
Extremely helpful and authentic, thank you a lot! But I dont understand: how do some builders/builds avoid to have some single cables visible while here I can still see many cables going from/to motherboard? This here seems more realistic! So how is it that so many other builds can hide their cables but fans i.e. still work?! So confused
Such a good and informative video.

Hi, first love your channel. Would like to know if you can plug in the splitter for the PWM and the RGB from the radiator fans to the LCD pump connector, and then the header of the pump to the AIO Pump header on the M/B? Will the board throw a fit if it doesn’t detect the PWM if there are no connection to the CPU fan header? Hope this makes sense.
Thank you Brother...❤
Would the placement of the Liquid Cooler, not be the best solution horizontal in the top? And 3x120 fans exhaust in the side.
There will be less “stress” on the pump circulation?
Hey mate, amazing build guide, looking into doing something similar within the next couple weeks. Just had a quick question about the case fans with push/ pull, I noticed that you have 4 sets of 3 fans (Bottom, Top & 2 for Radiator) + 1 extra fan for exhaust. Do those 5 sets of fans all connect to the Uni Hub Fan Controller for L Connect or would you have to run the exhaust fans through the motherboard. Thanks
I used two controllers. However, you could theoretically connect three + 1 with the daisy chain cable. If that makes sense, in one group.
@@TheProvokedPrawn I was thinking of running 2 exhaust fans for the o11 evo xl which would exceed the 4 fan limit oer group. Just curious but what would it look like if 2 controllers were connected in L connect. Would all the 5 groups of fans show up together? Thank you so much
Just finished almost this exact same build and everything basically works, but I have no control over any of the RGB in the case (except for the AIO pumphead) or fan speeds.
Dou you think we can mount rog strix 4090 on the side? Kinda doubt it because galax 4070 ti already cram the side, and strix a bit bigger and longer. 🤔
Top build!! Thanks for the tutorial, will save it for whenever I attempt my own build in the next few months.
Question, is it worth it to add a dedicated SSD 250GB just for the OS? And then another 2TB one Gen 4 to run the games and programs? thank you!
I have a drive specifically for Windows and games but tbh 250gb is too small nowadays imo. So easy to fill up
@@TheProvokedPrawn Definitely, I just thought the 250 gigs would be exclusively for the OS, then the rest of files and games in a separate 2TB
I have this case and I'm looking for a fix for the dual USB 3.0. Does that USB 3.0 splitter work? Reviews on Amazon are a bit iffy.
Great video Prawn, Is it possible to vertically mount a 4090 with the motherboard being on the bottom position?
I haven't tried but I believe it would be
Awesome build mate! Thank you for the extensive guide. I actually have the same case but instead I would like to put in 10 LCD fans and 3 infinity ones.
3 LCD reverse at bottom case, 3 non LCD on top (with liquid cooler), 3 LCD on side case, 1 LCD on rear case and 3 on the bottom section of the water cooler. May I ask if this will work? I believe I need two controllers because only 7 LCD per controller correct?
Correct. You'd need two controllers and PCIe power for both which might be a possible problem ua-cam.com/video/l7-6d3w8_ic/v-deo.html
thank for your excellent review
you can fit 4 x 120mm on top. I showed it and I did it. And again, you can 2 x 120mm at the rear, but it depends on the motherboard placement. I've shown it all here ua-cam.com/video/E-t8mT-iW_A/v-deo.html and here - ua-cam.com/video/3SKzr_A9GVM/v-deo.html
@@TheProvokedPrawn as you can see i fixed my mistake i made i now have to sit through all the other videos i watched and find the one that said i could put 4 fans in the 3 positions it was not you my apologies for my mistake

I have a few questions. I’ve based my build on most of what you’ve used in this build. The z690 formula motherboard in the evo xl. I’m having an issue getting the gpu bracket top slot to fit into that space. It’s a very tight area and I can’t seem to get it in there but I see you somehow managed it. Also, I’m not sure which cable to use to plug into the 8 pin plug under the 24 pin plug on the motherboard. I’m using the lian li streamers and the hxi 1500 corsair psu. In addition, my gtx 3060 only has 1 (8 pin) plug for power yet the streamer has 2. Will plugging in one and not the other cause any issue?
@@jonnybravo5285 ua-cam.com/video/xT36IDSQBX4/v-deo.html as for the strimmers I haven't tried with just one connector but in theory it should be fine
I feel lian li have missed an opportunity here with the lcd Galahad by not including the lcd option with the performance Galahad. I’m going to be doing a similar build but with a 7950x3d and all black with the performance Galahad in a push pull config.
Thank you.
really considering swapping my O11 evo to this, since with this i can have bottom fans and still have space to put an anti-sag for my gpu
Hi will this work the same with 10 fans. 4 groups sets of fans and use the phantek usb extension?
What did you end up plugging into that Corsair 2.0 USB HUB? I'm building a relatively similar build soon and I can't figure out if I need one or not, I know you connected the LCD Galahad, but besides that?
The Galahad is actually connected to the motherboard. But there were the two controllers for the fans and the controller for the Strimers
Can you put a 420mm rad at top and still fit that 2x120mm at the rear by moving the board one step down?
Buying this case second hand, what are the things to watch out for apart from obvious damage. Like what would be good to ask?
I have a question having the cold and hot pipes of the AIO touching doesn't that warm up the cold side? or does that not happen with pcs
I'm buying this case in a few days and saw the upright GPU config in a pre-release video but when I read the online case docs I didn't see anything about that option. Does it come with the case or do I have to buy it?
Very good video! Do you believe you can get 2x120mm rear fan exhaust/intake WITH a 420mm aio? Will if fit?
Yupp I have mine like that
Can you fit 4x 120 at the bottom too? Were you not able to use one of the 2 supplied side tray covers at the bottom or the rad to fill the gap? so much help these builds, much appreciated
Sadly no, you can't fit 4 at the bottom, which doesn't make sense, but i did try :( As for the covers, I didn't try that idea. Sorry!
@@TheProvokedPrawn lol yeah you right that doesn't make sense if 4 can fit at the top, looks like we need to wait for the 140 SL INF reverse ones, really hope they will make them, on another question if you can help, I'm looking to do the 360 AIO on the side with push pull but feel it is a waste of money to also get SL120 INF reverse for the side-rear(behind the rad) of case as it wont be seen, what other Lian Li non RGB fans could i pair up(more or less same (rpm/cfm/mm-h20) with the SL120 INF reverse on the inside of case on the rad, and could these fans still connect to the same hub for RPM control? many thanks
is it possible to use a vertical mount ? there is no screw on the pcie slots.
Hi.
I have this case with lian li vertical gpu, i mounted the kit and the little metal thing i didnt put anywhere.. should i put it ? i can t find any tutorial on yt for this specific case.. only for o11 evo non xl.
Hi PP, Great video btw, I have just finished the same build, might have used you great ideas and it looks fantastic.. I have looked at the Lian Li website for RGB lighting on the case and it worked perfectly except when I try and sync it with my system setting. I can't get to stay synced, every time I start PC it will not sync with Lian Li or MB software. (its says to push 'M' button to the 8th cycle and hold for 3 seconds) It does sync but reverts after restart. I would appreciate if you could tell me what I am doing wrong. 🐡

Is the pre-applied thermal paste enough for 13 - 14 gen Intel? Cause they are not square like anymore and they are larger CPUs. Is there enough paste so that when you screw the pump to the Motherboard it expands to cover the whole cpu?
Yes
9:37 Can I also have 4 on the bottom? Under the GPU? What about on the back right side next to the motherboard?
How would I mount the AIO if I only just had a pull galahad?
Are the only Intakes the bottom fans? Isnt that too much negative pressure? Im about to do my build and wondering how your temps are with this current setup. Should I make the rear and bottom intakes and the side and top exhausts with the AIO being on the side?
Yes you'd be better with bottom and side as intake
@@TheProvokedPrawn Okay thanks man! I got my LCD fans today that i was going to put on the AIO as exhaust, and was poking around and saw this video saying you changed it, so I'm going to return them and get the Reverse LCD fans that way I can use the screens haha.
Would you say its okay to use only 3 reversed fans on the inside of the case and then 3 non reversed 120's on the backside of the AIO? They'd all be set to intake but the LEDS would be visible from the outside of the case.
so if u use usb connection for the controller you dont need to connect the small and thin cable to motherboard headers? , im building a pc and i hate that cable
Quick question, can I hook up the AIO to the connectors from the Uni fans or do I need to use the older connector included in the package of the Galahad 2?
You can connect the fans to the triple pack controller and then use l connect to control fan speed according to CPU temp as well as connecting the pump to CPU fan
Great, thank you@@TheProvokedPrawn
Hey. I plugged in my aio inf fans power cable into the cpu fan header on the motherboard. I then plugged my other inf fans in the chassi to my hub controller and plugged that into a chassi fan header on the motherboard. When I look in bios there is only 1 fan recognition at that is “cpu fan”. All my fans are running at the same speed as the cpu fans even tho I plugged the hub into a chassi fan, they don’t come up under “chassi fan 1” in bios. What do I need to do? I want the motherboard to change the rpm of the aio fans depending on the cpu temps but I want the chassi fans to not change rpm depending on the cpu temp.

I ordered this same white case today. The new gpu brackets are out of stock so need to get them later.
This Lian Li Dynamic PC-011 PCMR is way too small for 4080, even with cooler master V3 Vertical bracket the GPU's fans are way too close to side glass.
I want to change my corsair fans to Lian Li because the wireless daisychain. And switch to bigger 140mm fans too, but i have to wait for those 140mm Reverse fans...there is only 120mm available at the moment.😑
Only problem is that my CPU cooler (nzxt kraken z73) uses normal 120mm non-led fans, and if i change them to Lian Li's Infinity fans...can i daisychain just the RGB with other Lian li fans in the case and leave the fans rpm control to nzxt app??
It would look bad if rgb is not in sync.😬

hello im using Lian Li Dynamic Evo o11 i think... and i already attached my ssd on the back panel but i can't find the sata and power cable to attach on my ssd :
Do i need a NZXT usb hub, or any USB hub if i have a Hyte Y70 Touch, ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI, Galahad 2 LCD SL-INF, 3 reverse SL-INF, 1 normal SL-INF, LL Strimer V2 for 24 pin and two 8 pin? One technician told me to plug all fans to the AIO controller which eats one USB 2.0, the case will eat another USB 2.0, and the Strimer can just connect to the mobo. Will the strimer perform as normal if connected to mobo directly instead of controller?
Lian Li is releasing Reverse 140mm Infinity Fans in January
Does this case come with the modular usb hub?
Shouldn't an aio be an intake so your not pushing hot air from inside through your radiator?
Why wouldn't you set the AIO fans up reverse where it's sucking in cool air from outside and then pulling it through and exhausting it out the top? Never understood why people, including when doing top mounts would want to suck the air inside the case which is going to be hotter than the air outside of the case through their rad? Almost like if a car was sitting idle and you had your radiator fans sucking air from inside the engine bay and exhausting it through the front of the car. Also is it just me or do they need to reverse the cooling tubes? That way they wouldn't be crossed and would run parallel? I love your videos though man. You do great work and share tons of knowledge. Thanks
I do usually. I wanted to test performance ua-cam.com/video/sVEXd-Wp8FY/v-deo.html

Just a Little question, does the AIO have to be in the side or can I mount it on the top ?
Is there a real différence or reason to put it on the side ?

Can you put the USB ports at the top of the case?
I bought the 140mm ones and the Controller but my 140mm fan cabel are diffrent than urs i cant plug in the cable for rgb
I have a question. I bought the AIO, and the 2 of the 3 pack fan and one of the single fan one. Will I use both the AIO hub and one of the hubs that comes with the 3 fan pack one as they are both different.
Yeah that's probably the most logical.
@TheProvokedPrawn Ah, okay, thanks. And one more question can I connect the triple pack hub small wire to the Aio hub? If not, if I use two hubs, can they still sync? And thanks for answering my questions.
One thing I wonder. The cables for pass through mode that connect to the motherboard. Are they truly optional? Meaning you can not even connect them in the first place (instead of connecting the cable but not using pass through mode). Wouldn't the pc maybe complain that no cpu/aio fan is connected if you chose to run everything through the lian li boxes and leave those cables off entirely? Because how would the Motherboard know you actually have a cpu fan or aio connected but you're running it through a separate device? Or does the motherboard not even care if nothing is plugged into those plugs?
With the aio on the side are you using it for exhaust instead of intake?
It's one option but flipping the fans or using reverse blade is preferable ua-cam.com/video/sVEXd-Wp8FY/v-deo.html
Will a 480 rad fit on top?
Do you worry about fans blowing on your styx from below when the stryx fans are not on?

There is a button or you can use your motherboard sync software, assuming you plugged the right cables in
thanks@@TheProvokedPrawn
Good evening, please tell me if I do not use a usb splitter, not all outputs on the lian li case will work for me?
Depends on your motherboard
@@TheProvokedPrawn i have ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI
@@katcrash1364 I've not found a splitter that works properly sadly. So you probably won't be able to use all four ports
@@TheProvokedPrawn oh thank you
35:54 I Bought the same splitter but somehow my front panel not working… I cabled everything correctly, every usb device I connect it’s said unknown devices windows can’t do shit bla bla bla so idk. If I only connect one of the white cable directly to the mobo it’s working but with splitter it’s not
Using the same case is there any reason the rgb at the front of the case next to the front glass might not be working when it’s powered on ?
Because you didn't plug the power cable in for it? There's a sata power cable coming from the front that needs to be connected to your psu
@@TheProvokedPrawn it’s plugged in that’s what I can’t understand why it’s not lighting up
@@TheProvokedPrawn I’m just going to assume it’s faulty and live with it because I don’t want to return the case with the build I’ve just done in it
Hello!🤝, is the standard power supply suitable?
Standard ATX PSU will work
@@TheProvokedPrawn thank you!! Good day to you🤝👍
What program do you control the cabinet lights with?
Your motherboard RGB lighting assuming you've connected the 5v cable to your motherboard
@@TheProvokedPrawn And from the motherboard with what program do you control it? with aura sync? Icue? or lian li has his program?
hey provoked prawn, i recently bought lian li sl inf fans, and i am having trouble with L connect 3 , somehow i am unable to turn on MB Lighting sync. L connect 3 just freezes when i try to turn it on can you suggest any workarounds ? Thank you
Have you got the 5v RGB cable connected? Also try this ua-cam.com/video/xmLIU40UOVI/v-deo.html
@@TheProvokedPrawn hi thanks for the reply, i had already referred to this video of yours . i have no problems with function of fans . they work fine only problem seems to turn the MB lighting sync on . i thought i could use armory crate to control everything but alas i havent found any solution and getting in touch with lian li customer service is difficult than going through airport customs.
@@swappy2488 if you haven't tried it I'd suggest a firmware update for the controller and uninstall and reinstall l connect.
@@TheProvokedPrawn the controllers are up to date and just reinstalled the L connect, doesnt seem to do the trick
So I purchased the NZXT splitter because my strimmer cables were not showing up in L-connect and couldn't change the RGB. I thought this may be a fix but it wasn't has anyone got any idea on why its not showing up. I have a msi mag B550 tomahawk motherboard please help.
Have you tried the firmware updates? lian-li.com/l-connect3/l3_update_manually/
After my build, one fan on the AIO is spining and the fan rgbs are working, but not the side RGB, how come?
You connected everything correctly? Checked l connect for firmware updates? One fan spinning is odd, very odd. It suggests the fans aren't connected properly but you say the RGB is
@TheProvokedPrawn figured it out, it was software related, I needed to add one more to the chain in i-connect. Appreciate you responding
You only have 3 intake fans ?
The plan was to swap to reverse blade fans ua-cam.com/video/sVEXd-Wp8FY/v-deo.html
15:57 they might be smaller than average but they still do their job 🥲
Hello again can’t find where buy anti sag bracket
It should be included with the accessories box in the case?
how do i turn on the argb trip from case?
You need to connect the power.
the fans u used on the top are 140 or 120 ? can t spot the diff
140
@@TheProvokedPrawncan u fit 4 of them ? 4 140mm?
I don’t understand how you can buy this product and they send everything but the fan controller
Need this screwdriver
Have you tried connecting the strip RGB to read from the Motherboard or a hub? There's a manufacturing error on all Evo XL's which means the case doesn't remember it was set in this mode, and so gets reset every time the computer turns off or enters sleep.
Are you sure? My case will arrive next monday and that would suck
@@DonnieDarko311 I haven't heard of anyone's working on Reddit or OCUK forums.. but it's took Lian Li by surprise, so who knows if there's some working ones out there. On Reddit replacements sent out have the same problem.
@@hostile_1866 okay... thank you so much. I'll give a feedback in 2 weeks.
@@DonnieDarko311 I've got faith they will fix it and send free replacements, but it's a strange oversight. It does remember other colour modes you can set, just not the custom (motherboard reading) mode.
I feel like it’s an Asus motherboard issue. It never wants to load my RGB static color on startup, unless the program loads up back again. It always starts as a rainbow default color.
What fans are these used in the 9:39 timestamp?

@@TheProvokedPrawn thank you. Will you ever do a build with 4 on top, 4 below and cooler on the side?
@@TheProvokedPrawn I watched the video. My question is since these don’t have any rgb. Will I still be able to fix the UNI FAN SL-Infinity in a 4x 120mm? Also I’ve been looking for comparisons but can’t find any between the P28 and the SL-Infinity fans.
Hello everyone..
I started building a computer but ran into a problem, if you can call it that...
I have a Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO RGB CASE and Lian Li UNI FAN SL-INF 140mm
I have a technical question regarding the installation of 3 X 140mm fans which are on the front, i.e. to the right of the motherboard...I can't screw more than 8 screws there because the upright bracket is a bit short. ..On the first and last fan, the upper screws, which are 2 each, have nowhere to screw....The fans
I watched a video in which 3 fans of 120 mm fit perfectly and all 12 screws are screwed to them... But for 3 fans of 140 mm something is not right...
Does anyone know where I'm going wrong?
Can it also support 4x120 in the bottom?
Sadly no. Which is weird but I have tried
That's weird indeed and makes me regret ordering another three pack of RGB fans for my build 😅 I just yesterday moved from the original o11D (where I ran 9x120 fans) to the EvoXL (which now looks a bit empty, especially in the bottom with the 120s) after having severe space issues with my newly aquired 4090 Strix. Is there just no official way of mounting 4x120s in the bottom or could a fourth one fit there if I'd use some double sided tape for example?@@TheProvokedPrawn
Reverse case please!
