I had a manager create a fake employee. He decided to steal hours employees worked and put them on the fake employee's time card. Not stealing from the company per se, just the people who worked under him. Failed immediately because we all had proof of the hours worked and how our paychecks did not match up. He is now in prison. He's in the midst of 15 years for fraud and a few other charges.
Every time I watch r/facepalm, I feel like I need to facepalm myself with some of the entries. 8 times out of 10, I understand the context of what's being presented and discussed, but there are a few that go over my head shamefully. For example, the increase of 256 WhatsApp users in their chat surprised my brain with, " Oh that's not very much". Until you gave me a crash course on how bytes work. And, more embarrassingly, I WENT TO TECH SCHOOL FOR COMPUTER OFFCIE TECHNOLOGY AND COMPUTER BUSINESS SYSTEMS. Learning about bytes and binary was our introductory course. Granted, I graduated 19 years ago. Still, I was red in my face when you had to explain it. Great video, by the way!
I think I remember seeing something about this millionaire who was like "homeless people are just lazy" and actually tried it, I don't remember the specifics of it, but he damn well tried to make it, he said he was gonna do a year to prove himself, but after a few months he gave, up, saying it was the hardest thing he's ever done and it was ruining his mental health and whatnot, but in those few months, he'd managed to make like several ten thousand dollars
First clip hits hard for me. Because my mother cleared stuff out of my drawers without my permission, didn't ask me at all about the stuff she was tossing and gave it away to a 'veterns' foundation without ever mentioning it. I find this out a day later when I go to wear a rain coat... that was a gift given to me by my partner... that was owned by his father... who had passed away and the coat was one of the last things he had from his dad and my partner trusted me with such a gift because I live in a wet area. When I saw the coat was gone, I freaked out when my mother told me and acted nonchalant about it. When I told her the story behind the coat, she told me not to tell my partner and act like I still had the coat... No. She got angry when I told my partner and asked how I could tell them over my own mother and we argued a bunch, where she claimed she'd call them, but I decided to call myself. I spent two weeks calling the foundation with pictures of the coat, when my mother said she dropped them off and how important it was. And a representative finally tells me the coat is just gone, most likely to someone else they won't get it back from if it wasn't tossed. "But hey, at least it's going to charitu and make someone else happy!" To this day I am still upset about it and keep a lock on my room (housing market is too terrible to move). My partner is still upset, too. I love my mother, but my trust isn't the same as before. Ugh.
about the last story, i do remember at some point hearing about a rich guy going homeless for the purpose of making 1 million dollars in 1 year but ended up giving up because it was too taxing on his mental lmao.
And then there was the guy who stopped because his father got a cancer diagnosis, as if people can just call a timeout from their life because a problem has come up. This was the guy who got a free sofa then used his phone with an internet connection to immediately flip it instead of using it.
If you go to R34 and read the comments (I do that sometimes because you will read stuff that is ironically hilarious ngl), the women in there are absolutely just as wild as the men if not even worse. @@sephikong8323I could confirm wild stuff they say for sure. There was a comment that I read that was so strange that I thought that person was trolling at first
With your last story, I remember hearing about that guy who was a millionaire beforehand became homeless to try becoming rich from the ground up. He failed due to typical life stuff like health issues. He did prove becoming rich in the US isn't really possible without some advantage beforehand. Now I'm curious how that experiment would work in other countries.
@@FitzgeraldBloxlore no I'm talking serious, game freak are the worst main devs that Nintendo has, every single game they've made in the past decade have been worse than Ubishit's games, so what work do they have that makes them better than anyone?

with this whole thyplosion incident and the digimon ghost game anime featuring a yandere thick version of the fox digimon from taimers, yeah we are cooked
8:30 i want to correct this, 256 is not the LENGTH of one byte, but the amount of unique numbers one byte can express, the amount of bits in a byte is only 8 bits
11:04 Im pretty sure there was a guy who tried something like this. Millionair took a break from his company, started a new life effectively. Went to some place with only a couple hundred dollars and said that, by the end of the year, he would be making 1 mil per year. He gave up in a couple months making around 40k at a job he got from a friend he knew. Turns out it was a lot harder than he thought. Don't know the full story though. Edit: Did some research, the man was called Mike Black, a popular youtber. and he quit after 10 months at 61k, due to declining physical health. The more you know.
DeviantArt is gonna have fun with that C6 Pilot. Also, I feel bad for that first guy. That stupid mother decided to put HIS HARD EARNED TROPHIES at Goodwill!
Apparently the 'owner' of the trophies commented under that video to say that she was okay with them going to goodwill. It's moreso a matter of people making the assumption that this was done covertly by the mom, which is reasonable I think given how little we all expect of humanity anymore.
So fun fact about that Typhostion sorry it was horrible mistranslated. The story wasn't about Tyhlostion doing something nasty to a girl it was about a woman was in a realstionship with a man who asked to sleep by himself and asked her to never come into his room at that time. Because turns out he was a typhlostion.
@@CHRONOPSYCHOID Basiclly think one of those myths where one character is making something in another room and they tell another person to not enter the room while they're working but they don't listen and end up finding out something like they're actually a magical badger youkai.

6:48 Can someone explain this to me? Maybe it's the way it's worded or something, but to me it just sounds like she said she wanted to marry him. I'm a man myself and this just makes no sense to me.
Right? I don’t see why it is being taken so badly. Her saying “you are the person I want to spend my life with” and not just hit it and quit it, should be seen as a compliment. Would the boyfriend have felt complimented if she told him that he is great for only a hook up???
As someone who used to work at goodwill, yeah, I think it's really fucked up that they can just except trophies with names on them (along with all of the other shitty stuff they do) I've said it before, I'll say it again a billion times more "Goodwill my ass"

people need to chill the hell out about the pokemon leaks. this isn't even new to pokemon fans as there's allusions to versions of a lot of these stories as it's based on Mythology/Folklore.
10:44 a guy tried this, he stated he could 100% do it in less then a year, quit after a few months with 935,000 still to go stating that the mental and physical trauma was too much
7:10 as a guy I don't understand this one, Marriage is a lot more emotionally charged than FWB. She's saying "Your not someone I just want to fuck around with, you someone I want to take seriously" I really don't understand how apparently other men seem that as an insult?
Also marriage includes sex and other things. Idk it just feels really weird to me that this could be misconstrued to be a bad thing. Feels like some incel language
I see both sides. I can see how it was meant to be a compliment, but could have been misunderstood. One night stands, FWB, Hookups, etc. typically occur because they find someone attractive, but don’t want to commit. Someone you fuck, but don’t want to throw any real time into (like I said, usually someone attractive). He likely took that as “You’re not someone I would want to have a casual fling with (not super attractive), but you’re someone I would be willing to settle down with.” Was this what she meant? 99% chance, No. Though this does happen frequently enough for it to make sense that it could be perceived that way.
For real. I feel like the people who say it’s an insult are either obtuse or just purposely missing the point. How can you honestly be insulted by someone telling you they value you more than as just a hook up????
10:27 I like to read this post as “they go from billionaire to millionaire” as in, somehow they lost the money that made them worth billions despite being in a 3rd world country with only access to 5$
The stories in the leaks were literally Japanese folktales with names swapped to pokemon ones. Clearly were placeholders. Gotta love when the non Japanese audience freaks out to stuff that is easily explained in the region of origin. Still though, pretty fucked up folktales
The thing about the typlosion leaks is that, yes, weird stuff happens a lot in mythology, however mythos not only were cautionary tales filled with teachings, but also, a form of retelling the past, which this leaks are neither the former much less the last and btw minotaur, medusa and other legendary creatures, even in japan, were not a cute monsters product targeting the children demographic, most of them were seem as fearsome and uncanny

And then eventually it was discovered he was a typhlosion. IE Zoroark before Zoroark.

I want to provide some background for this image coming from someone who’s in the community Sprunki is an Incredibox mod that got super popular practically overnight and blew up in the community. Azarus, the original creator of the video covering the mod, is known for his really good content within the fandom and is a fandom favorite. The Russian content creator however, jumped on the overnight success train and stole Azarus’s thumbnail, which they are notoriously known for doing. Now, for the ironic part, the image itself on the subreddit is actually a noncredited repost. The original image was made by Artemiy Kopych, a very influential person within the fandom, who pointed out the thumbnail theft in the first place
1:44 I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, what this post is speaking of is nothing new. In one of the older games(if I remember correctly), there was a book that spoke of the time where Humans and Pokemon would marry, because they were one in the same.
Turns out the Typhlosion story is a victim of mistranslation from an AI that can’t understand Kanji’s contextual syntax. The ACTUAL story reads more like Beauty and the Beast… with no children involved. Actual professional translators translated it to its correct and intended meaning. This whole thing gors to show that even in 2024 you can’t trust AI. This is all covered by a tweet trying to clear up the confusion. The tweet that explains all this is by @roltas01

I just said thank god, but it made mutahar laugh his ass off.
Typolosion was just there to pick up a lava cookie
He was just there for a sandwich

"But hey, at least it's going to charitu and make someone else happy!"
To this day I am still upset about it and keep a lock on my room (housing market is too terrible to move).

Im pretty sure there was a guy who tried something like this.
The story wasn't about Tyhlostion doing something nasty to a girl it was about a woman was in a realstionship with a man who asked to sleep by himself and asked her to never come into his room at that time. people need to chill the hell out about the pokemon leaks. this isn't even new to pokemon fans as there's allusions to versions of a lot of these stories as it's based on Mythology/Folklore.
It's more about how the choice of myths being not in-line with the way Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and GameFreak usually present themselves...
Most pokemon are best on asian lore already, even Western mythology
10:44 a guy tried this, he stated he could 100% do it in less then a year, quit after a few months with 935,000 still to go stating that the mental and physical trauma was too much
7:10 as a guy I don't understand this one, Marriage is a lot more emotionally charged than FWB. She's saying "Your not someone I just want to fuck around with, you someone I want to take seriously" I really don't understand how apparently other men seem that as an insult?
Also marriage includes sex and other things. Idk it just feels really weird to me that this could be misconstrued to be a bad thing. Feels like some incel language
I don't get it either.
He likely took that as “You’re not someone I would want to have a casual fling with (not super attractive), but you’re someone I would be willing to settle down with.”
Was this what she meant? 99% chance, No. Though this does happen frequently enough for it to make sense that it could be perceived that way.
For real. I feel like the people who say it’s an insult are either obtuse or just purposely missing the point.
How can you honestly be insulted by someone telling you they value you more than as just a hook up????
This is definitely one of the years of all time for nintendo
I remember finding this account randomly during start of quarantine in middle school and now im in college, Loved being around to see the development
10:27 I like to read this post as “they go from billionaire to millionaire”

The stories in the leaks were literally Japanese folktales with names swapped to pokemon ones. Clearly were placeholders.
Gotta love when the non Japanese audience freaks out to stuff that is easily explained in the region of origin.
Still though, pretty fucked up folktales
Game freak like bro it’s in the name 😭🙏
The thing about the typlosion leaks is that, yes, weird stuff happens a lot in mythology, however mythos not only were cautionary tales filled with teachings, but also, a form of retelling the past, which this leaks are neither the former much less the last and btw minotaur, medusa and other legendary creatures, even in japan, were not a cute monsters product targeting the children demographic, most of them were seem as fearsome and uncanny
That doesn't change anything, it's still something inappropriate to be on a kids franchise
@@EldenLord-wh4ov yes and I totally agree on, my take was a critique about people that defend that abomination, as someone who grew up with Pokémon, it hurts my heart seem my beloved child franchise being deformed and corrupted in such way
