Love your videos.
Now your in my end of the world. Traveled this a billion times. RV and Boat behind. Done lots of fishing and camping in these parts Morton only 1 hr from my home. If your ever in Washington Again and are able to venture into our Cascades Hwy you would surely love it. Safe travels. :)

Scenic byway is entirely correct along this route.
I'm guessing it may be that the one spot that was all cut down to the ground and bulldozed was a fire burned area from last year.

Its pronounced shə-HAY-lis, don’t feel bad it’s a difficult word to pronounce 😊. Going hwy 12 saved you hours of back tracking you did the right thing by taking it.
John it's a beautiful drive a ski lodge at the summit I haven't droe it since high school you can see apple orchards near Yakima

I said that on another of your videos the weather hasn't changed since I was there in 80s.....still a rainy place to live. Yakima is a military training area kind of like a big desert with shrubs we trained/jumped out there.....Combat Control Squadron. :)
You're running through a valley that leads to the Cascade range in White Pass. Chehalis (Sha-Hail-Is). To the left is Mt Rainier and to the right is Mt St Helens. Farm land and vast Douglas Fir tree farms. Very sketch in winter. Still think Washington is a desert? Chehalis . Sha-Hail-Is
