The Lovely and Gracious Linda and I are using RV Trip Wizard to look at the various RV Parks along US 12 in Washington. There are a lot of ‘em! We’ll pick one and report back to you and the Commander-in-Chief which one we choose. We’re planning to head to Glacier this summer some time.
I think it’s fantastic that this super-scenic road can handle a 75-foot long 18-wheeler with no problems. Our “little” 42-foot coach will be a breeze.
Beautiful scenery John, it changes from miuntain forest to desert like landscape, thanks John and amping.
I have enjoyed every mile of it because it was absolutely beautiful

Originally built in 1926, U.S. Route 12 travels from Aberdeen, Washington through Idaho, Montana,
the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana and ends in Detroit, Michigan-spanning a whopping 2,484 miles.

I can’t resist tooting the horn
Due to prevailing winds in North America, weather tends to drop precipitation on mountains and just east of mountain ranges as air compresses. That's why it is so green. Then, the air is left drier and decompresses, so the ground turns to arid and brown with little rain, until the prevailing winds meet new air weather patterns that refill the atmosphere with moisture, to bring rain again farther east. That's what was taught to me in a physical science class I was required to take in college.
This was a great road trip through that lush green mountain area. US12 there is certainly different than the US12 that I ran for years through Michigan between Chicago and Detroit.

I traveled White Pass for years, it can be bad during a snow storm. At one time many years ago it was the main route between Eastern Washington and Western Washington.
I wouldn’t wanna take that road in the winter time and heavy loaded, but it would be fun on a motorcycle

Beautiful drive!! Spent a long weekend in Glacier (Montana) and our toothpaste froze. LOL.. Agree though that is the best visit in the US...
This place has everything desert, rivers, snow grand view, and Green Forest.. although glacier national Park is very special as well

Great views on rt. 12 in Washington state. I didn't see many or if any sharp right or left curve heads
You have travel hundreds of steep up or down around several curves each way in the past. I didn't think st. Route 12 was curvely at all.

You got to stop that rig JBG, even for a few minutes, tha load can wait a few minutes, you'll just end up waiting somewhere else, stop and smell mother nature , great scenery, not sure I'd want to be running through there in January/February.

I quit trucking . 10 ys off and onn .. 2014-2024 .. too much politic … never being home no social life .. .. not missing out anymore … do u have any advise for a long time sub …I mean I feel bad that I’m letting trucking go but keepin mind all the years of dedication just to get a retirement plan sucks a company driver still gets paid like an electrician & plumber the only difference is 30ys in the union , you get a good retirement plan pension every year a raise but as a truck driver I would never see that it’s been a long road but do u have any any advice or suggestions is there anything u could accompany in making this decision ??
