omg this was the SWEETEST comment ever. Seriously thank you so much!! 🥹🥹😭❤️
I’m currently in my first year of nursing school and I’m definitely leaning into ER nursing to start my career when I graduate. Especially since I was an EMT who also worked in transport before nursing school. Appreciate the video! Getting paid to ride helicopters sounds like a cool gig that can never get old. Can’t wait to experience it soon
Yes!! As an EMT this sounds right up your lane! Hope your first year is going good! 💛
First of all ,it's great that you give response to each and every comment, hats off 👏
I am a first year nursing student from India.
you guys take the time to watch! the least I can do is take the time to respond! And goodluck!!
@@aysiajanee thanks for the response
I’m starting nursing school this fall. I have a back ground as an Emt, Wemt, and ski patroller. I’m really excited. I know I need relevant clinical experience in intensive care, that said I’m hoping to fast track my way into flights. Thank you for sharing this video, it was concise and very informative. You have a great personality, I hope that my colleagues will be as cheerful as you. Take care. God bless.
You are so sweet! Sounds like you are well on your way!! Goodluck!!
I did flight nursing for 2 years, before that did ER for 3 summers and extensive ER experience throughout the years. Did travel nursing during COVID and last assignment was a cardiac ICU.
twinsies! kinda haha. I'm sure you have some storieessss from the travel during Covid!
I am a new nurse, LPN, working on a Neuroscience med/surg unit. Definitely a difficult patient population and not a job I love. I fell into that "you should start on medsurg" trap too but as an new LPN it is hard to get pediatric positions or ICU positions. I am in school to get my RN to pursue Peds, NICU, PICU, or anything that will get my to my dream job of flight nursing! this video was so helpful and honestly gave me more hope!
aww I'm so glad you felt that way!! Yes definitely hard to get into peds. I applied for 6 months right after passing my boards and didn't hear anything and that made me go the medsurg route. Keep at it you'll get to your dream job!
I agree with you on the travel nurse experience! After 14 years as an imc and local travel RN i can’t stress that enough
YES! it's so important because you just don't know what you're going to see on these contracts!
I did a year and a half in spinal cord injury, almost a year in neuroscience, and now I’ve been in the ED for a year and a half with a desire to do flight nursing!
spinal cord injury is so specific! neuroscience! You must be so smart haha. ED is my all time favorite has my heart. You're on the right path for experience!!
I aspire to be like you so much, this is sooo inspiring sister. A totally not an easy job so much respect 🤍🤍🤍💯
@@charlynestyles totally missed this. you’re the sweetest!! thanks you so much!! 😭😭💕
Currently an LPN working in Cardiac Progressive Care, but I have Med-Surg experience as well. I want to start in the ER or ICU as a new grad RN then eventually do flight
Heyy, Im also a nurse YTber, love the way you did the video and your job sounds very cool.
aww thank you so much!!

Love your buddy(dog)😊
Aww thank you! 😀
Really wanna know your dream hospital? I’m working in the ED on the east coast as well. new grad residency, just certified In TNCC. Really want flight nurse like you! Your videos are awesome. Thank you
Honestly I’m not sure if I have a “dream” one anymore. I’ve been to all the TOP children’s hospital & they’re amazing! And you can do it!! You’re doing the right steps!
Currently in school hoping to become a flight nurse soon 😍😍
@@kristenlee3890 you can do it!!
Could you please share what the minimum height requirement is to become a flight nurse? Thank you!
I didn't have a flight requirement for this job so not sure! I have heard people say this maybe look into the specific organization you're wanting to apply to?
Mam how apply this job mam
Hey would you please tell that does height matters in travel nursing? I'm 5.1" , also is travel nursing & flight nursing the same?
I'm 5'0 and it wasn't a problem! But I was contracted through a hospital specifically and not like a fleet, so that would be something to ask the specific job. Also no, flight nursing is a nurse that does air transports and travel nursing is a nurse that takes contracts in different states/ hospitals through an agency. If you google it should help :)
Mam iam GNM general.nursig
Good evening madam
Can I become flight nurse after gnm complete
sorry not sure what gnm. is??
Are you a BSN or ASN? I’m bridging from LPN to ASN (May 2025 graduation) and need some excitement! Been an LPN for 10 years and looking at international travel nursing. So many options, and at my older age of 57, I need to make the dream happen. You are such an inspiration.🩷🩷🩷
@@meeranaam you got this!! you’ll make the dream happen! I’m BSN but I also did a bridge program!
