Thank you for your video! I purchased the Roku Enhanced Remote for my Roku Smart TV.
Looks like I threw away my money because I don't know anything about the Stick.
I just wanted a remote for the TV that had earphones.
Roku's customer service sucks, and it's not worth the trouble to send it back than the aggravation.

Thanks, after I lost 1h your comment about channel 11 on wireless network worked.
I solved my problem by unplugging everything and then changing the batteries in my remote. Once I did that, it reset and I had access and was able to get the menu up and select a show. Thanks, good suggestions.

You are the man!! I had what i thought was a shit remote that burned up and have not used it for at least a year then i came across your video and i pushed the back and home button for like 5 sec and sure shit it works now thanks a bunch you saved me 30$ much appreciated.
I did not press the 3 buttons like you, i just press the small button at the bottom next to the battery and pointed it at the tv and it worked. You also have to go into your roku setting where it says remote and then go to pair so it will work.
Thanks. That at least gets me started. I managed to get the light blinking (inside the battery compartment! what's the point of that?!). But I didn't know about holding down the top two buttons. My Samsung's instructions say hold down the Return button and the Pause button at the same time. That didn't pair the Roku switch.
C-net's latest review of all the players says the new Roku Stick is not only cheap but offers better performance than any box (including Apple TV). I may still order it. I went with the Premiere Plus box only because of Roku's claim that it can handle 4K resolution and HDR (whatever that is). Most owners of a 4K TV set who "think" they're watching 4K and HDR are deluded. They're really watching good ole HD (1080p) and probably wouldn't notice the difference if the pixels were suddenly increased by 4X. Like 3D TV (a fad that's come and gone), 4K and HDR are gimmicks to sell new TV sets (and authentic 4K requires an OLED screen , which will cost you 5 G's. A better deal is the new iPhone X, which comes with an OLED screen (for "only" $1,000),

I logged into my router's ip address online and have changed the 2g to channel 11. This still hasn't worked. What should the 5g channel be on?
Dear Kooper Salmo, I'm having this very issue, my streaming stick remote stopped working. I tried powering off/on the stick, then using the re-pairing button on the back of the remote. No dice. I then tried, as you suggested, to set my WIFI channel to 11 on my router (& re-booted it) (set to Auto prior to), and still not responding. Unfortunately, I did a factory reset on my stick, and now I'm perhaps sorry I did that. Any suggestions much appreciated. Thank you. tonyd\.
Mine pared by just pushing the sync button for 3 seconds and the screen flashed up and started sinking but one of the reasons is we have like eight roku's in our house so that's why it doesn't automatically just pair because it doesn't know what Roku your operating and they can't all run the same one

No pairing button means it's a stupid IR remote, requiring line-of-sight with your roku box. Fucking roku and their refusal to produce replacement enhanced remotes.
