Thanks for sharing your ideas. Try spraying the glass/resin round with mold release. That should help the silicone come off it easier. I’m definitely going to try this.
A new learner with resin and silicone, I made my first mold in my silicone mold and no difficulty getting it out.
That cross looks wonderful!!
That is pretty interesting Michelle. And yes your experiment is doing what you want it to do. I look forward to more tutorials
Thank you so much! ☺️
Just catching up on some of your older videos and I had never heard of pool cages. I live in Australia and we have to have fences around our pools but I've yet to see somebody with a pool cage. Maybe they do up north where there are crocodiles around though. 😂
Interesting!! Yes, it's probably a southern thing, if you have a pool 90% have a cage to keep out any animals (alligators) but mostly little children. If you don't have a cage you have to have a fence.
Thank you, Michelle! Pretty cool!
I’ve always wanted to learn how to create druzies! I can’t wait to try this out! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Your welcome!!🤗
The shell cross is fabulous!
That is a beautiful cross
Awesome!! Thank you sooo much for this Wonderful, helpful tutorial ❤😊
You are so welcome!🤗
Thank you! I enjoyed your tutorial. I may give it a try. Your cross is beautiful.
Thanks! Definitely try it! Thanks for watching 😊
You are so smart. It worked I made a druzy with a old silicone mold n it's beautiful thank you
That’s awesome!
Thank you!! Good job
Thanks, Michelle. I will definitely try this. I also want to make a mold of crystals in drusy. Wish I could tolerate the heat, but I can't due to COPD. I would love your lifestyle. Many friends have moved to FL.
Well unless we have to go outside we are always in the AC. We do love it down here though!
Very interesting tutorial!
What a fantastic tutorial thank you! ducks were so stinkin adorable
Thank you! I hope you try it! I love spring with all the different babies around here 🥰
Ohhhh... Do you live in the Cape Coral area?? I was living there during the hurricane... but moved to Lehigh Acres back in March!! Never want to go through that again! Glad to see you're getting repairs done!
We are in North Port in the eye wall for like 12 hours ☹️ had about $240,000 In damage.
That was awesome! I can't wait to try this myself! Thank you so much
Your welcome 🤗 thanks for watching 😊
Thank you for the information...do you have a video on making regular incerts
No I don’t I’m sorry
This is a great tutorial.
Thank you so much
Your welcome 🤗
Can you put a dusting of cornstarch in it as well?
I’m not sure this was my first time making them. I do know the surface you want to mild has to be shiny. Maybe a mold release would work.
Hi Michelle, I love your videos and experiments; this time I’m wondering if you could do a druzzy edge coaster, for some people is so easy but I cant do it😖 I prefer male my own coasters and trays, because I cant spend lot of money to purchase.. so I hope you can do a demostration for that druzzy edge please??!thank you so much! Hug for you🌷✨💐🙏🥰👏👏👏👏👏
I wish I knew how to make that as a mold. I’ll do some research and if I figure it out I’ll definitely share to help save people money! Thanks for watching 😊
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 Thank you so much for your replied😘💐👏🌷✨🙏
Wait did you mix part B to part A before adding the broken glass?
I don’t pay attention to which part I pour first to be honest. I do however pay close attention to my lines so I have the exact amount of each. In doing this step looking at eye level my resin cure’s perfect every time.
What do you use for clear coat? Thanks
My normal resin, nothing special.
What about shaving the silicone druzy bit pieces
Yes you can do that
How can i make my own shattered glass. Please let me know 😢
All it is is broken mirror pieces
You must be a fan of Julie Cutts too.
I am! I’ve learned a lot from her as well 😁
I'm so sorry all that bad damage happened to y'all, I love the little animals. I've been making mine from Borax crystals I grew. I was going to try it the way you made your's but I just love growing them from Borax. Next time use a clear spray sealer and they will come right off for you.
I’ve never heard of the borax way! Sounds super interesting! Do you do tutorials!?
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 Sorry I never seen this comment. No but If you wanna chat on your last video we can.
When I get my supplies, I'm going to make molds like Julie make, wish me luck.
I wish I knew how she made them! I can’t find a tutorial on that anywhere. People are holding that info hostage 🤣 not everyone can afford to pay that much for molds. I do have one of hers and it’s really nice but for the $75 I only used it twice 😑
I just ran across your video.... What is druzies and what is it used for?? Anyone??
Sure! You will put this little insert into a project and when the resin cures and you pull the insert out it gives a crystal affect in the piece. Fast forward to the end of this video where I use it to show you exactly what it does. Thank you so much for watching and I’m happy to answer anything I can! 😊
🥰
You sounds like Vera Farmiga to me
😁
Why is there a nature video in this tutorial?
My old videos included some stuff from my front yard.
Your silicone needs to be poured thicker
For those of us who don't know what druzy is, I had to google it. Would've been nice if you would've told us what it was before hand.
Your absolutly right! I'm sorry, I will make sure to explain better going on from here! Thanks for the input, it is well received.
