  • In this video, we're doing a guided meditation for loss to support the grief process. This meditation is for you if you're still coping with grief or the loss of a loved one. It is designed to help you find meaning and process the healing of your grief and sadness, even if this is just to embrace grief itself. This could mean a big loss, a death of a family member, a friend or your pet. Or it could be something else. We go through loss a lot in our lives, shutting an old identity, leaving an old job, an old apartment. I hope this can support you in your loss.
    💎 7 DAY CHAKRA CHALLENGE www.brettlarki...
There are so many things that happens or happened to us and few of these losses are often really processed or acknowledged. Society really values us steaming ahead and sort of maybe suppressing some of that loss down. So what we're gonna do in this meditation is really simply is just to hold space to feel the pain of whatever loss you've been going through and if that sounds not fun, it actually is what's going to help you get to the next evolution of your relationship with what you've lost is by sitting with it and not reacting and not running away and just being present. That's really the deepest thing we can do with loss. Is to be present for how we're feeling without trying to change or alter it so that's what we're gonna practice together in this meditation.
Grief or Grieving is not a disorder, it is a completely normal reaction to the loss of someone you love.We hope that this guided meditation for loss will ease you into a place of quiet and presence, allowing you to accept your emotions and find comfort in the power of meditation.

i came across your touching comment in the death of love ones post here on you tube. Well am really sorry about that okay 😒☹️and I know how it feels to be lonely without our love ones, we've all lost our love ones in death one way or the other, either a spouse, child, family members, or a true friend that meant the world to us, such is life I understand how you feel but life must move on because death is inevitable no matter how hard we try! And we'll all have to face it someday..

I want to thank you so much for this. I lost someone very dear to me the other day and my head was just a whirlwind of grief, misery, guilt, anger, pretty much every negative emotion you can think of. But I found this video, sat with it, and felt, well, not really better, but more whole, more capable of having those feelings, if that makes any sense. I'll be back to this channel often, under better circumstances.

I'm struggling with multiple losses: the professional losses, and loss of time that I could have spent raising my children. And the loss of my marriage.
Listening to this and it helps me cry.

You beat me to it! Anyways, my great-grandmother-in-law (wife's great-grandmother) calmly suggested that I do some meditation in regards to grieving. My grandma (actual grandmother) passed away when her scoliosis (spinal deformity) finally bent itself out of shape and ripped right into grandma's vital organs. She passed away two months ago. So it was very recent. This video has helped me tremendously! Now.....plenty of animals have died in my life, and it was a tragic, but this......an actual human being........THAT was something else altogether! At first I was in denial, I was laughing and celebrating (like an idiot), and now.....oh my god.....I am in bargaining, depression, anxiety, anger, etc. Now, I am almost reaching the place called "acceptance". I was crying my eyes out, and I felt like I was about to die myself, but then......I felt a heck of a lot better! "Acceptance", here I come......eventually! ^_^

Beautiful! This is a theme that has kept coming back to me in various ways through the last few years...holding space, not just for others but for myself to feel the uncomfortable feelings. It is surprisingly freeing, instead of making one sadder. It reminds me of a kinked hose that the water has stopped flowing through. Releasing the kink (negative emotion) suddenly allows it to continue to flow and move away, not stay. Namaste, Brett.

Thank you so, so, so much!
I've lost a very dear family member four days ago and I really thought that I had stopped crying, but with this meditation the tears came again in full force. It is really hard, but at the same time I know that I'm going to go numb and shut everything out, if I don't fully process what happened. I also carry huge guilt with how I reacted and things that I've done in shock - things that effected and hurt a lot of people and situations that are currently happening, that are permenant and can't be reversed or fixed. It's going to take a lot of time to come to terms with my actions and responsibility, with guilt and consequences. So thank you, for giving us support and means to heal.

Thank you Brett, I have been dealing with a loss for the last few weeks and getting prepared for another one. I have been writing a letter to say thank you to the lost loved one and realised during your meditation that maybe I could write and read a thank you letter to that person who is about to leave us. Very odd but I feel I need to tell her how much I love her before she goes. X

I have not lost anyone recently thinking of the future loss; for example, my mother is almost 70 years old and she eats nothing but McDonald's every day. In general, she takes poor care of herself being that her poor health gives her the attention she craves. My mother is my best friend and I know her death will be a mountain for me to overcome. Just the thought of her death brings me tears and so much suffering. I grieve her death even when shes still alive. Thank you for this video it helped A LOT!
