She really makes the heavy lifting in life appear doable with her frankness. The clarity with which she expresses her truth through vulnerability is a gift to listeners. Really well done interview! Many thanks ☮️💖

When she gave the "sistering" metaphor I shouted, "That's so sweet!" And burst into tears. Then my dog licked my tears away.
I'd say this is one of my favorite Marie TV videos, except they're all so great I'm not sure I could pick a favorite.
Thank you so much for your videos, Marie.

What an awesome video!!!! My favorite part is about "sistering": “Life gets too heavy and too hard because it’s supposed to… because when it gets too heavy that’s when we have to call for a sister in the left and we have to call for a sister to the right, and that’s the best part of life."

I am so happy that she made a stand against that "helper" bunch of BS! Here it is, a woman who has had issues in the past, she did not think highly of herself (thinking that she wasn't good enough to be a mom) and yet she knew that there is no option in the world that we were made JUST to SUPPORT and that we DO have the right to be SUPPORTED.
And the part that the world is so obsessed with the body that we forget about the mind and the spirit and so WE forget that we are whole and shouldn't let anyone belittle us just to a body type! I mean, how did we even get here (theoretically) being the most well-developed species on the planet?! Eye-opening!!!
Ladies, couldn't thank you enough for this conversation!

"You do not heal yourself before you heal the world" that is probably 1 of the biggest things I'm taking from this. Also to run right toward the pain. Thank you 2 beautiful ladies for this episode.

  • @norahmyers5535

The single biggest insight I’ve taken from this is that not every bad thing that has happened to me automatically means that I’ve made a mistake. Other things I’ve taken from it are the ideas of women ‘becoming’ things, and the idea of ‘I don’t know what the hell I’m doing’ being something that everyone feels, not just me. Thank you, Glennon and Marie.

LOVE! I listened twice and I'm sure I will again. I cannot pick only one thing ... Brutiful, going toward the pain, rock bottom, sifting. I love that Glennon is doing all of this in the midst of ... How strong and brave. Showing you "know" through your own life. Sometimes tragic and difficult things happen, then we have to decide how to move forward. I'm working on how to coexist with brutal part of life (quite brutal) and to not let the painful/difficult parts of life control my present and future. After living in anger and hate - I don't want to give myself to that anymore. Even though I have the "right" and the painful consequences will not go away. Very challenging. Thank you! This helps! I have so much to learn, but I'm glad I now know to do so. I want life, I want the beauty, so I will learn to coexist with the painful parts, acknowledged them and move forward. Peace, love, light, strength and courage to you!

Watched this twice! Blown away. Almost everything she says is crystal--mostly that women don't care how we feel but how we look, not what we desire but that we want to be desired. And that..this is over what could I be next? And her list of everything I know during a crisis. brilliance, such humility and wisdom, thanks for sharing information Marie.

I just watched the interview with Dr. Tererai Trent, which is newer than this one, and both guests said the same thing: "Whatever makes you ache, that's where you're supposed to be. Whatever you feel is unjust, that's what you should be working with." I'm amazed at how much this speaks to me in this particular moment of trying to figure out what I'm "supposed to do"! Thank you again, Marie, for this amazing interview! :)

Thank you to both of you! I am going through a huge separation in my life. At first, I felt so empowered and ready to embrace the change. Then a few days ago, I got sick and all the pain of all my losses surfaced, and I feel I've hit rock bottom. Thank you Glennon for reminding me to use this pain as fuel, to meet it head on and trust that it is my teacher. I am deeply grateful for your authenticity, courage and service, for this is the path that I have always felt called to walk but as I go through this deep transformation, I can feel the calling to heal my life as a mirroring to heal the world through love. In deep gratitude, Emily

"I'll just make the valleys not so bad
But then you get none of the mountain tops "
I loved everything in this video. But I really took away the power of pain. You can't have one or the other. I always try to push pain out of my life and always end up dwelling on "why am I so sensitive?" Or "This needs to not bother me" but you really have to live out the pain to live out the good. Numbing it is not going to make it any better. Thank you for this video!

Spread the word about homeless youth. I support Urban Peak and Inside Out in Colorado Springs. They are working hard to improve the lives of homeless youth in my community. They are rockstars. And, when I think about so many GLTQ youth who are homeless simply from being kicked out of their homes for being who they are is...I can't even conceive the thought. I'm saddened and furious. So, thank you, and spread the word and please place links in your description box.

As always Marie, your videos lift me up- even when I'm not down in the first place! Glennon was an amazing guest, and I'm definitely getting her book. I really connected with her personal experiences and her dedication to her faith that goes beyond church. I was raised in a spiritual healing environment, and I LOVE the spiritual aspects of religion and find religious texts fascinating. Glennon's enthusiasm about the word "ezer" reminded me of this and that we can find so much depth and beauty in language. We have to remember that things aren't always what they seem- or what men have twisted them to be- and when we dig a little deeper in ourselves and the world around us, we find more of ourselves, our experience, and our potential.

really loved this video! left me feeling powerful and emotional. Particularly loved the part about women being considered as men's helpers. I feel like the world is constantly telling me that men matter more and that they seem to have some control over whether i feel good about myself, depending on whether i am desirable to them. I am learning to be less angry at men because I know it's society that has created this illusion. Trying to turn my anger into power and not let men or society define me or how i feel about myself.

This is so inspiring! What an awesome role model. This speaks to so many aspects of my current journey, but I'm at the point where I'm searching for how to sustain self-love and how to believe I will become who I need to become... So I benefit most by seeing other women who have found a sense of self-confidence, radical authenticity, and radical compassion for themselves and for all..
I'll definitely re-watch this sometime to really receive everything this interview has to offer. Maybe then I can make a more specific comment about what in the video was most meaningful to me. In the meantime, her book is on my "to read" list

There is a time and place where we see the things we need to and there was a reason why I saw this in the morning before I am on my way to work. The topics covered in this video are so on point, and I wish that we could have gone and dug down deeper on these topics. As women we need to have the love and appreciation for our own self, spiritually, mentally and physically, the sisterhood is an amazing concept and I really hope this message reaches all women around the world. "Magic happens when you rush towards pain." - WOW. True. Just found my next life purpose which is to take over the family business. Only figured that out because I decided to come home for two weeks to help out my family on a couple things and help confront and console them on certain difficulties they were facing. Been wanting to help my family, but for the past couple of years avoided it because of the drama & intense negative emotions surrounding family members and the business. I decided to dive right in and spend time with them while I've been extremely slow with work - the absolute best decision to make with my free time. After spending time and listening to everyone, I realized I have found a healthy business waiting for a leader. (my brother wants out / needs a break / anxiety issues, and my father is 71) Starting to formulate plans on how to make this business work for all of us and finally bring in our well deserved Golden Age while everyone heals from the financial trauma that almost caused them and the business go bankrupt over 10 years ago. I can't believe it! I have been wanting to be a multiple business owner and this great opportunity just came into my awareness. Great opportunity for me and my family members! Family was the saddest thing in my heart while I saw them unhappy and fighting, and now that I ran towards it, we are laying the ground work for so much healing and success for my parents and brother! LIKE WOWOWOW.

This was amazing thank you so much both of you. I've learnt as I keep learning that I mustn't run away from the pain.. I'm listening to what's "happening to me" and using these things as learning tools and seeing them as only good and clearly they were meant to happen. Xxxxx

That was amazing, I had not heard of her and thought - ok Love Warrior sounds like so many other books, etc, but I'm so glad I watched this. Thanks for having her on your channel! Take away for me is -go to the pain and the idea of crisis as a sifter.💗
