Please, do a video about Plastic People Of The Universe. It is like Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Velvet Underground and unfortunately The Beatles combinet - so plenty stuff to make fun of.
Not only that, they were doing this in communist Czechoslovakia - so it was completely illegal. Their concerts were raided and they were beaten and arrested several times. Despite that, they kept on doing that shit for 20 years.

sure frown land might be one of the most mentally difficult listens I’ve come across but holy cow , if you really listen to all the instruments and how it’s composed all I can think of is how freaking impossible this would be to play live just like it sounds on the record considering every instrument is a beat short or fast from each of the other instruments. in short I hate it but i respect the mental gymnastics necessary to even come up with something so damn whacky , cheers 🍺

I used to never understand why Trout Mask Replica was as praised and as hated as much as it was. Compared to a lot of experimental music made before and around the time the album came out it's pretty tame. The only thing I don't really like about Trout Mask Replica is that it drags on for too long. It is very influential though.

@@srlmecho that's crazy to me. It is cool how it's the first noise rock album in a way. Still, I'd rather listen to Butthole Surfers, The Cardiacs, or Stump, even if those bands arguably wouldn't exist without a band like Captain Beefheart carving the path for noise rock.
