DIY: LED Bulbs on Dome, Vanity, and Trunk on Lexus IS250/IS350/ISF

I got tired of the ambient lights in my car and wanted to change them out to brighter, whiter LEDs. In this video, you’ll see what I do to remove the original bulbs and replacing them with LEDs that I got from my friend Freeman’s shop. Enjoy the install!

I did this including the side mirrors a couple of weeks ago. Everything went great. Side mirrors was the most tedious job of all and requires more time and patience. I also did reverse lights and blinkers including a relay swap to avoid hyper flash. Not looking forward to swapping out my DRL bulbs and park lights as location is a nightmare

Wish this video was out last year. Changing LED bulbs was my 1st "mod" when I got my car lol. I changed the dome/vanity/trunk/side doors and freakin puddle lights... that one took me the longest.

Thank you for the video, the explanation is very detailed, I watched your video to replace the LED bulb of my car, the replacement of the LED bulb in the car went smoothly, and finally replaced the LED bulb in the trunk of the car, after that, the fuse should be broken, just replaced Well, all the LED bulbs in the car are also off. My 2012 GS 350 already comes with led's didn't have to change none except for the puddle lamps.

I completed all this but when I close all doors, the dome light at the front of the car (with the 3 LED bulbs) dims 2 of them and only 1 LED stays on whereas the 2 LED's in the roof in the back seat stays illuminated.
So at night the rear of the car is brighter than the front.
Ah nevermind. I see you have same issue with your install.
Hate that the two LED's at the front dims when doors are closed. Makes the spread of light look uneven with the rear LED's brighter than the front.

Simon Rosario for the puddle lights u move the mirror facing up as much as u can and u pull the mirror out. should be 4 screws at each corner, get them off and the mirror assembly will come off and u will have access to the bulb and just swap it. it is a 194 bulb.

for the dome light, you dont have to remove the whole unit. the lens should come off

Hey man i have a question i have an is350 and i have an airbag light and i scan it and it gives me a service airbag what could that mean?

This is a new thing for most Lexus cars. There is a recall out for our airbag system on the passenger side. If the light is on, you need to not drive the car because your passenger airbag can explode at will and shoot sharp objects at the passenger as well as you. Drive to your Lexus dealer and get that resolved or a rental until then.

Dang. Usually you can just pop the corner on the lenses. Can that not be done on these ? You HAVE to pull out that whole assembly ?
