How about pouring a 2cm wide cylinder of clear resin allow to cure and remove from its mold. Then use colored glass beads instead of stones. For the final pour. put the clear cylinder in the middle of the base so that light from the bottom will have a path to get into the middle of the skull and backlight the beads
I've done one with marbles and curling ribbon. They are so cool. Going to try one with wooden balls next, but I'll need to pre resin the wood balls to minimize bubbles.
Wow, that's my favourite thing you've made in resin this year Steve! I love the natural 'river bed' look it has, you've captured it perfectly. You decision not to add colour or glitter was a good one I think. I bet it sells super quick Steve! Have a great week!
That looked absolutely fantastic!! It would make a great garden ornament withe those beautiful stones. Maybe in an animal mould of some kind. Stunning!
Wow, I really love this one!! if you wanted to have a light shine through more of the top, maybe you could add a layer of stones then do clear marbles, either those flat vase ones or round, to the middle by using tube, just stick it in empty, then pack the rocks on the outside edges around it. fill the tube with the vase beads then pull the tube out. I think that should work. Love your stuff!
Ohhh I love this! I have a bunch of gemstone chips that I could do in smaller moulds, I love it! I'm also so SO happy to see you using Big Wipes again, I went through about 15 of your videos the other day trying to get a good view to see exactly which Big Wipe variant you use, so thank you SO much for the link today, mega mega helpful, they really should sponsor you! 😁🌈💜
Really Cool. I tumble rocks and I am always looking for ways to use them. Thank you Steve. Hey put about 12 of these in a circle and you will have Stone-Head 😜
As always I love you’re ideas. You talks about doing one with only one kind of stone.. Try with 3 or maybe 4 kinds. I truly believe it will look WAUW🤩🥳 Maybe try in some other cool item Thank you for my favorite channels❤
hi Steve, love the vids. just an idea...instead of using a sharpie marker to mark your resin cup, use a wet erase pen. the ink will come off in water.... keep up the good work, I'm learning a lot
So..I was thinking ...how about putting some lights in with the stones? I think that would be awesome! OK... I am inspired! thank you so much for sharing this! six days later! :) cheers!
I also sew and have noticed that several sewers are using weights on their cloth \instead of pins when they cut out their patterns. These skulls would make wonderful cloth weights.
What is the best way to clean out that mold you used in this video? I've got the same. I want to make sure it's clean inside before I pour resin again. So how should I clean the inside out. Your channel is very informative. Thank you very much.😊
I can’t believe the perfect placement of the white stone right on the teeth! 😍beautiful !
I couldn’t either. That was just pure luck lol.
That was so cool, and like everyone noticed, the teeth look so real!
Perfect gift for that person with rocks for brains.
All joking aside that's beautiful. I want one now along with a sea glass one for my book ends.

The placement of the white stone is incredible, what amazing good luck!! Absolutely gorgeous piece, Steve, love it!
Hi Steve
When I'm having a bad day, watching your videos helps a lot.
God bless you.
Sylvia, Denmark
Have you tried making one using glass marbles instead of the stones? The light would probably shine through those.

Those wipes are a GAME CHANGER - thank you for bringing those to our attention!

I did this for my wife for mother's day. She loves it.

Really cool. I thought it was great when you turned it around and the white rock was in the teeth 😁. 😍

I did the same thing in the frog and skull just using garden stones, they are really nice, wish I would have had all the coloured stones you used💕
Looks beautiful,love it💯💯💯
Beautiful
so cool would of never thought of rocks
Hi Steve, try using a little dollop of hand sanitizer on your messy gloves and wipe them off with a paper towel. It works like a charm.
Thanks for the tip.
I would definitely buy that.
This came out beautifully! ❤
That is beautiful i love it i think people would definitely buy this i know i would
Wow. Stunning!❤❤

LOVEEEE
Steve, I'm very new to resin art and I so appreciate your channel. Huggy Wuggies from America.
hi Steve, love the vids. just an idea...instead of using a sharpie marker to mark your resin cup, use a wet erase pen. the ink will come off in water.... keep up the good work, I'm learning a lot
Well I know what I am making for my brother for his birthday on the 31st of this month. Thank you so much! I just so happen to have that exact mold
I'm looking forward to seeing your video on how to polish stones. Those are beautiful stones you have. I wonder where you got them?
I did something similar with marbles in a frog mold, really looks good, will try in a skull next
We have been creating resin pieces with crystal and stone Chips for years!
I tried this a few weeks ago with gravel bought for a fish tank. Its clean but not pollished yet still comes out with a really bright finish.
Gorgeouis!
So..I was thinking ...how about putting some lights in with the stones? I think that would be awesome! OK... I am inspired! thank you so much for sharing this! six days later! :) cheers!
❤😮🎉MAGNIFICENT
So cool! I wonder if you used only semi-transparent stones would it work as a light?
The sparkly reddish stone is "Goldstone" a man-made stone invented by monks. It's beautiful and I would like to imitate it in resin at some point.
I do this with the helping hands mold.
Awsome 💀 lone this idea 💡
How long did the stones in the resin skull actually take to cure?
Great idea.
Thanks for texting back.
I'm one of those. I measure the mold with water & write it on the outside.
I also sew and have noticed that several sewers are using weights on their cloth \instead of pins when they cut out their patterns. These skulls would make wonderful cloth weights.
Looks great :) can I ask you where can you sell these kind of things? Beside Etsy? Thaks!
Want to make it a lamp? Use TV Stone. Sorta fiber optic like. And glitter! It would look amazing.
I’d love a flat bottom! Well, maybe just a bit flatter than it is right now 😊
Absolutely gorgeous, how would you price this 🤔
I love it 😍 I made something like that 3 month ago and i love to use stones 😊 Can you tell me what respirator you have with microphone? I can't find 🥺
What is the best way to clean out that mold you used in this video? I've got the same. I want to make sure it's clean inside before I pour resin again. So how should I clean the inside out. Your channel is very informative. Thank you very much.😊
