2 years playing 52 yrs old.
The fact that I have the skills to even attempt to try and learn this. Still amazes me . Never too old to learn.
I'm happy with my progress. A day and a half watching this over and over progress is good . I'm 😊 happy
You are a self centred idiot.
God for you man.😀 In my case i suck, my E and G strings vibrate a little bit, witch produce undesirable sound. I try to rest the palm whiteout affecting the B.🙄
You're a great teacher. I've only been playing for 4 years and you've helped me improve so much. Keep the AC/DC videos coming. Thanks!!
Fabulous
The speed of this thing is kicking my butt.
Metronome. Find your baseline tempo where you can play it flawlessly and speed up by 2/3/5 beats. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Use more of the edge of the pick and don't use too much distortion. And Malcom's rhythm is tougher than the main riff.
@@bruceklein9917 Thanks! I’ll give it a shot!
@@josesbox9555 Anytime bud.
Every other guitar player in the world: " I hate the B string!"
Angus : "hold my beer"
Btowns_World More like “hold my chocolate milk”
**"Hold my tea!"**
Really that's a thing???
Hating the b string
You've been.......THUNDERSTRUCK
999k subs less make it 1m
Thank you very much Justin, especially for Malcolm's part in the intro.
For those who are figuring it out: 10:59 onwards is EXCEPTIONALLY helpful. Everything in this is helpful, but that especially.
Thanks man! I'm a noob at 47yrs old and have just discovered AC/DC, crazy right but there it is! This was great. Thanks Justin 💕💕
It's 3 am but it's all worth it to be a part of the early club.... Also a lesson on funk 49 would be nice!
Hahah, 2:35 am for me
Inevitable Truth *gasp* Do you mean time zones exist?
Check out Shutup & Play Guitar Tutorials. The guy is amazing and did Funk 49 a few months back. There are two people I support financially on UA-cam, Justin and Shutup & Play - Both are great teachers, and they both provided a wonderful, life changing service.
imho, this is the most infuriating, ugly guitar I have seen. Opinions are awsome
Great lesson Justin, specialy the attention to the rythm playing of Malcom. Think he's one of the best rithm players ever. Very underrated.
Will Kupers He is the best rhytm guitarist ever
@@trajfl One of the best, at least
THUNDER!
Seeing Justin struggle a bit with the main riff makes me feel a little better about myself, but also makes me wonder how feasible it is that I will nail this riff at the same speed as the original recording...
Didn’t seem to struggle too much dude lol
That guitar. That T-shirt. That hat. That riff. SWAG!
crazy good tone
Thank you so much, Justin! You are my absolute favorite guitar teacher! You break down everything so easy. I can play lots of my favorite songs now because of you ( minus the solos). Still working on those. You rock! Love AC/DC!
Though i do not watch every single video of yours, i gotta say that i appreciate the amount of content you're producing lately! Once in a while i stop by because of a song that i've been waiting for and never miss to enjoy it :-)
Greetings from Germany!
Legend
Yo Justin your lessons are so good I got an advert from you before this video lol
You are fvcking good ! 👍🏼🎸
Another great lesson from a great teacher...and the Malcolm sig Gretsch sounds unreal...great job
James Lowe Thanks for this information, I was wondering what guitar it was, just like a bunch of others... it is really a sweet guitar. I love that zero fret and the fingerboard markers, and heck, just about everything else. 🎸😎👍🏻
Very well explained! Thank you! Malcom’s riffs are killer!
Audley Freed said: „Malcom Young is a pretty devastating Rythm Guitar player.“ I totally agree!
Thanks!
Thanks for the thanks 😊
Very good job communicating this song. Love that guitar and the tone. Simple, crunchy, ballsy....I dig!!! Thanks for sharing.
What I hate about all guitar tutorials (except this one) is that the guy raves on about it, and then takes you through slowly until the end. I want to know what I will be learning. You showed me this!
Awesome. Again thank you.
I love that you're doing classic Aussie rock.
garry king with a Welshman on drums and a Geordie on vocals 😉
I like how genuinely excited you are to do these lessons, you certainly love your work. Cheers!
OMG, THANK YOU! I think you're the FIRST person I've found on UA-cam that included that inverted D power chord during the main chorus (those open A and D strings you noted). It seems like EVERYONE else tells people to repeat the A power chord and it just sounds wrong. Good job! Also, kudos to Malcom Young for that insane B-chord finger picking that drives this song forward. I can't even do that! It's way easier to do Angus's legato for the entire song.
Hey man, glad to see you're keeping up with these amazing lessons. This one's very helpful. I think this shows just how underrated this song is in its musicality.
this is the best ac/dc song and best ac/dc guitar riff imo obv
Danke, Einiges werde ich probieren
Awesome lesson. I started playing this a few years ago and your right, labor intensive but when you can play it clearly - Makes it worth the effort.
Seen a few tutorials and as usual yours is Simply the Best. Thanks ❤
Dear Justin, thank you for the lessons. Please do a couple of Queen lessons. Tie Your Mother Down, WWRY, hammer Ta Fall, Now I Am Here, One Vision - all cool riffs and interesting chords and solos. We all would be highly grateful.
Yes, Queen is very much missing from my site! Must fix that!

Yes, please. Especially considering that Brian May really likes what you do. In regards to his sound you can always get together with his tech man - Pete. If you need help with getting in touch with him, pm me.
Thank You @justinGuitar!!!...This Was Much Awaited for Me...
Great lesson. Thank you!
Your teaching ist great, because you also teach the rhythm, not only the cords. Very important!
Wow, this is hard! Makes you realise how brilliant Angus is!
thanks a lot! make my day!
You’re an excellent teacher. Thanks a lot for your videos. I‘ll keep practicing. Greetings from Germany!
Been waiting for this one for so long, and now, the time has come .... to thunderstruck! Yes!
Fantastic lesson Justin. Thank you very very much!
Great lesson. I've always love Malcolm Young's rhythm guitar playing. But now after watching you teach/play, I have to admit that respect level that I have for him just went up a couple more notches.
Concise and truly helpful. Thanks!
Awesome! I've been waiting for this video forever! I love the way you teach songs. It really makes it so much easier to learn!
Question I have to ask. Are you ever going to do Def Leppard?
Thanks Justin absolutely love that, been on it all afternoon great techniques as well, realised I really need some work on my hammer ons and pull offs😉 Thanks again
Hey Justin, Is that the Malcolm Young guitar 🎸
Excellent teachings. Your recommendations are spot on. Practice makes perfect….. I almost have the riff down and greatly appreciate you providing the rest of the song. I think I’ll be busy till fall. Best from Idaho
thank u for your proceedings. 👏👏👏👍
Greatest rock song ever
that was great i was really THUNDERSTRUCK by how good you are at playing and teaching thx
Awesome job Justin!
Thanks so much for the lesson! Good job!
GET IN!! I've waited ages for this bad boy. 😈
Man I'm just starting to play at 50 years old and am digging your videos. I'm using your website and have started taking local once a week lessons. Oh yea, AC DC rocks because they have a beat and a rhythm that's easy to listen to!
Good lesson,Thanx
+1 on Transcribe. Great software.
great lesson and tips, tks Justin
Thanks for the tutorial! :)
Awesome riff, gotta be in my top ten faves of all time!
I think I could learn this song after watching this instructional video thank you!
very good fella.i love your videos, keep on rockin in the free world! ;)
Hey Justin great job..!! Thx
You're the man Justin!
Justin awesome you are great teacher.
wonderfull, that's how it should be!
So I may have missed it but one thing I didn't see mentioned was that the main single-note riff begins on an open string, which is relevant to the feel / playing it picked or legato. Based on live video I've seen, I think he plays that initial note with an upstroke, but I could be wrong. So it's possible that all of those fretted notes actually land on upstrokes.
Super lesson, thank you so much !!!!!!!
Great riff! I suggest you do 'Photograph' by Nickelback
Hell ya Justin !! Awesome.......
Justin, how about a couple more Aussie songs mate....Mystify by INXS and Beds Are Burning by Midnight Oil ?
Wow! I really liked that iconic riff! 🤘 Still hoping for another James Taylor or Don Mclean tutorial. Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial, it helped a lot!
I'm a beginner very good your explanation thanks very much!!!!! Justin!!!!

thank You so much
Hi Justin, awesome awesome content, your one
Brilliantly fantastic to see you bring out the MY Gretsch again at last, poor thing must've been feeling a bit neglected.
Been waiting for you to roll out a number like this and what an awesome choice, thanks J.
Oh yeah... can leave that comment without adding: Long live Malc whether he's playing or not.
Bugger, should be "can't leave that...".
Long may he run! My fave rhythm guitarist of all time!
Thanks Jason, mine too (obviously) and I like to think a favourite of many others also.
Aww POO! Bloody autocorrect... Not Jason, Justin... the guy's name is Justin, stoopid autocorrect! 😡 😳
great man, thanks a lot !!
you amaze me..
Thanks, this has really helped me
Best tutorial 👍😎
Great lesson my friend. could you put a little more emphasis on how he walks out of the main riff when he hits the exit notes. I can't seem to catch the very end of the riff??
you are an awesome teacher :D . and good explination
Ur great teaching thank you
awesome boy... Blew me away.. Need the fret chart though
0:04 fav parts
thanks justin great btuition
That is just soooo nice
Please please do Angus' solo and outro of Thunderstruck too! The solo seems so hard and I just can't figure out the fingering and picking pattern.
Justin, can you make a video on the opening riff for a place in the sun by hoodoo gurus
Great head movement in the beginning
Thanks...
Thank you for playing Malcom's rhythm on the B5 chord correctly. Nicely done.
Glad you liked it. Cheers 😊
