I am so happy that you explained why it is so important to farm the masteries but literally as soon as I saw a 20 second solo with a champ that I actually have.. just show me the build already!!! 🤣
I think this is the first time I've actually seen the math on the energy refills. I've always assumed that, yeah, you're saving on gems, but the amount of energy you would need would be more gems overall given you can get exp and silver out of the fights. Seeing that it actually costs sub 800 and gives the exp + silver really changes my mind... will definitely need to put together something for this permanently!

if you are a medium spender and you buy the forge pass it makes even more sense to farm the mino like this for more silver and xp.

I've veen playing this for years and totally forgot about the xp "penalty" you get by using a full team with just one gaining xp. But my gosh the runs it takes to do a solo with everyone else getting xp and mastries, wowza.

I use an Ithos in full lifesteal to solo farm just about half the game. He can solo nightmare campaign, mino, potion keeps, doom tower waves and secret rooms (pretty much all normal and even some hard) hes one of my arena nukers for classic and 3v3, hes one of my hydra DPS and now hes one of my best cursed city speed clear champions as well. The neutral affinity from being void combined with 2 very hard hitting AoE nuke abilities makes him very very versatile, but there are lots of nuker champions who can do the same in some decent lifesteal gear

The thing with Rathalos that I like over ithos is he is giga op in hydra and hydra one content that is better to progress than nightmare campaign or even cursed city

@@nicknauj124 he’s not empowered, 4 piece lifesteal with no other set bonus. Without any area bonuses he has 7532 Attack, 100% crit rate, 247% crit damage, 218 speed. I recently ascended some of his gear so I used to run him slightly lower stats all around
@@Lilliana1 nightmare campaign is just the hard stop final point of progression for campaign. If you can solo farm 12-6 you’re done and never need to improve. Rathalos is undoubtably useful in hard content that has a much higher ceiling like hydra, so he is awesome for that. He may not be as strong as Ninja but he’s up there in terms of quality for a free champ for PvE content
Things like this is why I can't wait for my clan hall to be maxed and it being easier to hit these stats
I always farmed masteries after buying the first 2 with gems. Yes it took forever at first, but I value efficiency of resources against time. Now I have a 3 man team to get thru mino in 30-45 secs and I pull 2 further champs along for the ride to level/get masteries. Full set of masteries for 2 champs will take them from 6-1 to 6-54 each. I think this is the most efficient runs I can think of, will see if my hydra build for Rathalos can solo once he's thru mino/leveled, it'll be even more efficient. I appreciate the insight into this and hope it works.

In nearly 3 years of playing R:SL at the f2P/Mini-Spender Tiers, I've NEVER used Gems for Masteries, and never will. I save them up to use during the CvC to get Energy from the Gem shop, or the Big Shard Pack.

I never understood the argument that Plarium won't add Minotaur levels because they want people to buy masteries with gems. Where are people getting so much energy? They're buying it directly or with gems.
im playing raid for like 9 months and literally never EVER bought masteries with 800 gems
800 is tooo much for me (i always have barely 500-1500 gems in total) so i would never buy masteries with gems
but yes, with energy its also very expensive but like skratch showed, im doing this with sun wukong.. and its nice to lil bit level up some champions
this is a really good video. I used to use gems to get mastries. Here what I learned, farming i will save 120 gems. two, i should not use food to level up. but champs I would like to level up.

I kinda disagree.. I use my salad (in hydra build, a3 turned off) to farm this, but even if no1 else takes turns, it takes him around 40 sec, and constantly farming mino... It adds up. I've been looking for a champ that can do it faster, in a build that's "meta" build everywhere, and doesn't need presets
Can someone give a guesstimate on the amount of energy you will have to use 😅 from zero to full masteries?
i'm about to receive Rathalos as a login reward, i wil also receive the full cruel set (some parts epic, some parts legendary).
my question is, will Rathalos solo Minotaur - 15 just by being 6 stars and 6 ascension ?
or it must have all its masteries upgrade and its equipment upgraded to +16 ?
(i'm asking those things because i'm completelly broken in this game, and i have made some very bad decisions at it.🤦♂)

I just tryed him he really hits hard
not to mention all the free energy you get daily so the gem cost is waaaay lower

Well, you get aprox 800+ energy daily in the end game. 3 days= masteries done for one champ and 680 gems saved.
Usually just use baron but saw this and decided to let him solo his own masteries. 27 seconds on mobile. Not bad, iow it works.

you can save even more gems by NOT completing masteries for champs. some champs just dont need full masteries (or some masteries just dont do much at all for many champs)
for example; My ColdHearts lack 400 Red Scrolls to complete Support Tree, but i just dont see the point of getting master hexer or sniper on them.

Honestly I just farm minotaur for scrolls I never spend gems I save gems for energy or clan boss keys it takes longer but worth it for me

Counterargument: Minotaur is boring to run and you could run other stuff instead. Opportunity cost is also important and imo it is worth more to just buy the masteries.
120 gems is a small price to pay to not have to wait for masteries. But will say I like it farming if it's for a new 6star that needs the exp too. I have so many already lvl 60 without masteries. Between hydra and cursed city tho I've been trying to focus on everyone getting there masteries.

What i am doin in Minotaur. Starting with one farmer and 4 lvl 1 rank 5 champs. When all masteries are done they are rank 6 lvl 57.

My farmer is Magnar and he does it in 1min
4 Years of playing raid never have I ever paid for masteries . It's ok to do one time buy for your Kael starter at the begining but no more.
Nobody farms more than 5 masteries (and I don't think one needs even that). Anyone who unlocks all masteries buys them with gems. Plarium profits from gem sales.
they need to add stage 25 normal and bring the 10 stages of hard.... way too much energy spent to fully master skills
yeah but its not like hes the only one that can do it, tons of champs can. I usually do 5 champs at a time in Mino not even using a farmer, just need to gear 1-2 of them and let RSL healper do the job overnight and earn points for CvC. Starting champs and Shieldguard can farm mino 15 with life steal gear. its piss easyThe last group of champs I put through mino Souless did the work and he leveled and got scrolls at the same time with the food.
The problem isn't farming masteries, it's getting the Legos.........

Players are actually using gems to unlock masteries?? I didnt know that was a thing. Ive never used my gems to unlock my champions masteries ever i just didnt see the value in that.

Rathalos has been available for 24h, Skratch has him levelled, fully tomed, Masteries done and 6* ascended Merciless gear on him, goes on to make a video for bloody beginners telling them only filthy whales and krakens do what he does.
It might be fair to also tell the early gamers that it will take them weeks if not months to get the masteries for 4 to 5 champs from Mino. Especially now with the Cursed City everybody is running Mino on Overdrive IF there is no Fusion to dump all the energy in. I have once in 5 years taken the gem shortcut for one champs masteries and since then become very stoic with running months and months of Mino.

It won't take you weeks or months, lol. Put the game to farm your few champs overnight. A full team can be farmed in aprox 2 hours at most. You can do the math from here and see how many champs you can do in 24 hours.
@@SkratchPlays Oof, 4 champs in just 2 hours? I might be playing it wrong all along. I only use my daily energy for Mino runs, wussat, around 900? This won't get me far - 64 runs, 6-12 divine scrolls, maybe 9 on average makes 576 scroll, not even enough for one champs divine. So without doing any other dungeons this is over 2 days per champ, 8-10 days for 4 champs. Gems are being saved for fusions (which are running almost back to back nowadays). This is only my reality and i need to use days for dungeon runs as well, so the "weeks and months" at least holds true for me.
I don't judge and hope everybody is having fun regardless of what they invest into the game. And while technically possible and true that you can speedrun your teams through Mino you still need to have a 20s. solo champ, buy multi-battles and energy or install security liabilities like RSLH and i got a feeling that not everybody out there is playing Raid this high intensity way.

on average, you'll spend less than 800 gems for energy refills to get max scrolls for a champion, so the cost of your time to farm (overnight ideally) to get all scrolls for a champ and some levels is better than spending 800 gems for just scrolls
In minno it averages about 600 gems per champ

Gnut can solo too i think Rathalos good champ but NOT God Tier before plarium nerf it. If you have good Artifacts many champ do this what Rathalos made and i see that unresistible dec def not apply very often so broken.

Staltus can literally do this with worse gear and no lifesteal. Rathalos is far from the only champ who can solo mino.
What do you mean? I can solo mino with Razelvarg (lethal build). Many other people also solo mino with nukers. It's nothing new that will make Plarium think they should nerf the champ
