I had almost the full set when I was a child. I watched the cartoon every Saturday religiously. This vid really brings me back! I ended up trading all of them to a friend of mine for his MASK (mask toys) collection. When I 1st saw Mario bros game at an electronics shop, while my parents were purchasing their 1st VCR, I put toys aside for video games. And here I am almost 40 years later still addicted to games. But I still remember toys like C.O.P.S. that brought me so much bliss.
Wowwww. What a flashback. I saw these toys in your intro video and i was like OMG.. i need to find your video on these guys. I 100% forgot all about these toys for the last 30+ years. What a treasure! Thanks for the visit down memory lane.
Had almost all of these as a kid! Great cartoon, I still have some of the original VHS tapes of these. Amazing animation and concept. Similar animation to Real Ghostbusters and Thundercats.
I remember getting sgt mace and buttons mc boom boom for my birthday and eventually I had em all with the vehicle’s. Still have a few of them like the ninja that was from wave 2
Cops & Crooks came a bit after my childhood, but it brought back a bunch of good memories of the figures that my brothers and I did have. Thank you for posting the video and for the off camera time that you put in to them as well.
I remember these Action Figures!!!! I used to have the Big Boss & Koo Koo!!!! Those Action Figures were pretty cool for the time, and I wish I still had those figures Today!!!! That was like 1989 or 1990, the latter most likely.
Dude! That intro clip was so awesome! Really enjoyed seeing all these Cops N Crooks figures, they are all in great shape and hearing the back story and in depth knowledge about them is really awesome. This is one of my very favorite videos you have done so far, really great, creative content. Nice job man!
Matt M Baseball Cards thanks a lot man, I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. I love putting cartoon intros or old commercials in these videos but I keep getting hit with copyright claims unfortunately. So I pretty much can’t do it anymore or I’ll lose my channel. Pretty lame!
Hello from France ; i grew up in 80's and 90's ; i did not got any of thoses action figures , they are great ! Many thanks for sharing ; Happy PIcking and Happy Collecting.
Had a whole bunch of these as a kid back in the late 80s and used to trade them back and forth all the time with friends. Longarm, Bulletproof, Buttons Mcboom Boom, and Berserko being most popular single figures with Bullseye and Turbo Tutone popular vehicle figures. Some of them go for several hundred a pop these days.
Very nice collection. The crooks are my favorites. I dont know the show, but I guess they had a hard time against the swat guy with a frigging bazooka!
Another great flash back. I had to watch all the reruns since this came on during little league football game day. VHS and a timer! Lol you better make sure the tv is on the right station.
edward salinas lol I never had a vcr when this show was on so I missed out on recording all the greats of the 80s. My tapes were mostly filled with Gargoyles and Batman the Animated Series. I definitely botched that before by not having the tv on the right channel. Super frustrating.
I like your videos! Hello from Texas. I never had any of these. I also had more of Filmations Ghostbusters than I did Kenners Real Ghostbuster. Those are very cool!
ROBERT ANDERSON hi there! Glad you enjoy the videos! I used to love Filmations Ghostbusters and my brother and I used to always refer to them as the “fake” Ghostbusters. I don’t own any of those on the card yet, but I plan on it soon. They can be pretty expensive!
TheList OfJustin well worth it! Actually there’s none on eBay right now but Amazon is the place to go.. C.O.P.S. - The Complete Series www.amazon.com/dp/B01MT8PAYU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_t.kqCbMRFCEQ4
TheList OfJustin that is awesome you’re heading to the flea market for your first time! You’ll probably see some loose figures, as I usually do. Flea markets are great because all prices are negotiable. If you see something you like for $5, dont hesitate to offer them $3. Also, don’t hesitate to walk away, pull your phone out and check the sold listings on eBay for anything you’re unsure about. Most importantly, have fun! I have found many treasures at flea markets and gotten some great deals.
Hey great toy review I was just thinking that maybe the reason why it’s set in the future is that the kids who were watching it at the time would be the age of the characters today and inspire some kids to become cops
I think that Highway piece is awesome. Somewhat realistic in that the hover craft thing he rides on is very similar to those Segway riders we see some patrol officers ride in today's time, some 30 years later. Still waiting on those flying cars, though.😉
There is a Hyena figure in great shape (punched card though) at the flea market near me. Also a Highway Interceptor in original box. I have pics i took. It was at Treasure Aisles outside Cincinnati in Monroe. I got the guys business card too. He also has a couple unpunched Real Ghostbusters, Egon and Ray for $25 bucks each
Jay Lucas whoa those sound like some great deals! You should email me the pics! The.past.is.alive.toys@gmail.com. I’m curious what series of Ghostbusters those might be. I need the Hyena figure, he is from Series 2.
LTSJR1 they do, I’ve seen them here and there recently. They did make COPS caps refills packs too. I’ve yet to add any to my collection though - they are pretty tough to find. Thanks for watching!
martin clements if you are in the UK, you are in luck. There are many ( and I mean MANY) Real Ghostbusters novelty items and even toys that were exclusive to your country only. I am frequently trying to track these down online and have a pretty decent collection of stuff. They can turn a pretty penny depending on what you come across.
Joe Mansmann I never had any when I was a kid. Somehow I completely missed that cartoon. Think I was too distracted by Real Ghostbusters haha. I have a few loose now and have been thinking about starting to get some on the card and nib. Pricey though.
Miguel Bustamante I did! I think this is going to be the Ghostbusters 3 we’ve been waiting for since 1989. It’s going to be directed by the son of the original director. I’m excited for it, but am not getting my hopes up just yet.
D B I’m a huge supporter of anything D releases. Woods of Desolation, Unfelled, Remete, Forest Mysticism. Check those out if you haven’t already. I do enjoy Elderwind as well.
Joe Mansmann I’m the same way. My loose figure collection dwindles cause I usually end up just selling them. I prefer moc only. I really enjoy the card artwork on pretty much all the 80s/90s toy lines
Oh, btw I received the grab boxes. Awesome boxes. I need to hook you up with a video of the review so you can put it on your channel for a little promo.
edward salinas awesome! I’m glad you liked them man. I would love to see a video of you cracking them open. I’ll definitely throw it in a future vid. If the video isn’t too big, you could always try emailing it to me.
I grew up watching this every day after school
I remember watching this cartoon before school
I am a 13 teen year old and I found blitz guy at goodwill and I fell in love with him and he is my new favorite figure
Just started collecting these, they're pretty pricey in ebay.Had them all as a kid. What collector dosent ever say..if I knew what I know now😔
I had almost the full set when I was a child. I watched the cartoon every Saturday religiously. This vid really brings me back!

Very, very cool toy line, thanks for sharing!
Fighting crime in a different time! Classic.
Love your enthusiasm when you go thru your toys. Never got into this line but very cool to see
Love this video. I’ve gotten back into collecting this line.
Thanks Jimmy! Such and awesome line and cartoon!
Had almost all of these as a kid! Great cartoon, I still have some of the original VHS tapes of these. Amazing animation and concept. Similar animation to Real Ghostbusters and Thundercats.
Brent Behrenshausen is you ever want to part with the VHS tapes, let me know. I collect them. The animation was amazing! Thanks for watching.
I remember getting sgt mace and buttons mc boom boom for my birthday and eventually I had em all with the vehicle’s. Still have a few of them like the ninja that was from wave 2
Imperfect Cell that’s awesome. I love this toy line. I need one more from series 2 and a couple vehicles to complete it.
I love how in the 80's they created cartoons just to sell toy lines.
The difference is most of the toy lines were COOL. The '80's had THE BEST action cartoons, toy-line marketing or not.
Cops & Crooks came a bit after my childhood, but it brought back a bunch of good memories of the figures that my brothers and I did have. Thank you for posting the video and for the off camera time that you put in to them as well.
Mitchell Tau I am glad you my video brought back some memories. That’s what I strive for. Thank you for you support.
I remember these Action Figures!!!! I used to have the Big Boss & Koo Koo!!!! Those Action Figures were pretty cool for the time, and I wish I still had those figures Today!!!! That was like 1989 or 1990, the latter most likely.
Never too late to buy them back! They are relatively inexpensive to buy loose. Thanks for watching!
My all time fave show/ toy line. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!

RatRodRamblin thanks for watching! Glad this video brings back memories for you. Happy Holidays.
I remember the cartoon but recall the toys. Another good video

Wow that’s great! Thank you for the cartoon opening to bring back memories of that great show

Such an awesome video! Really liked it and honestly I have never even heard of this cartoon or toys but way awesome collection and video!!!
Tish Haddaway glad you enjoyed the video! Glad I could introduce you to an awesome toy line/cartoon. Thanks for watching!

Nice I see one of them comes with the silver bomb!
I like your videos! Hello from Texas. I never had any of these. I also had more of Filmations Ghostbusters than I did Kenners Real Ghostbuster. Those are very cool!

Wow man.. you have an in box BP Vess!!!! #jealous
Love those caps too! I remember you could put them in a little silver bomb and throw it to pop the caps. Who needed fingers back then
I remember buying rolls of caps. Even the Ice Cream Man had them.
😎 Have fun collecting!!! See ya next time.
I don't remember these too much but hey u know me I'm all into vintage toys, keep the videos coming John thanks for the video 😎🇺🇸
How did I miss that. Looks freaking awesome.
TheList OfJustin it was great man. You can find the whole series on dvd for around $10 on eBay. Definitely worth it.
@@thepastisalive you sir just cost me 10 bucks haha. Gonna check some flea markets this weekend. My 1st time. Any advice?
TheList OfJustin well worth it! Actually there’s none on eBay right now but Amazon is the place to go..

@@thepastisalive ik I just looked. Scrolled through the figures. Cool stuff. Ever watch Eek! The Cat? Wish that would get a release
The k9 cop isn't bionic that's his protective gear for k9 training
Great video
My God. I totally forgot about that show!
Sick enjoying these videos
Love the vids keep up the good work
I honestly don’t think I ever had any of the action figures. Wish I did tho. The art is super clean on the boxes.
edward salinas agreed! Love the artwork!
That was a cool cartoon. I also like the Police Academy Animated Series cause I had a couple of those figures
Florencio Pena me too! Loved that toy line. I was able to buy the Police Academy Headquarters in the box a couple years ago at a toy show.

Jeffery Kite agreed!
I use to have Sundown and Berzerko, when I was young,
Good review dude. Go ahead and bust those boxes open.
Don’t remember that cartoon, but cool toy line!

Hey Jon,
What should I be on the hunt for in UK/Eire (car-boot sales)?
martin clements if you are in the UK, you are in luck. There are many ( and I mean MANY) Real Ghostbusters novelty items and even toys that were exclusive to your country only. I am frequently trying to track these down online and have a pretty decent collection of stuff. They can turn a pretty penny depending on what you come across.
I will keep my eyes open for them. And keep you in mind too. 👍
martin clements awesome, thanks
Hey did you ever collect MASK Toys they were smaller than star wars but really cool
Joe Mansmann I never had any when I was a kid. Somehow I completely missed that cartoon. Think I was too distracted by Real Ghostbusters haha. I have a few loose now and have been thinking about starting to get some on the card and nib. Pricey though.
This series was supposed to take place in the year 2020.
supprr you’re right, I don’t remember them ever specifying that in the show but i did see that online.
And they also had 4 new people in the second season
i had a bunch of these, especially Longarm. i have the series dvd, pretty cheap.
TheJericho1123 cheap, like all Cookie Jar releases. My discs are in paper sleeves inside the case haha. Awesome release nonetheless.
@@thepastisalive i got the cards today, thanks for all the Larkin and Randy Johnson cards, especially the ones in the toploaders.
TheJericho1123 awesome, glad you enjoyed those. Hopefully you didn’t have too many of them.
Hey jon did u hear they are doing ghostbusters reboot from the 80s sounds cool and there's a teaser already i read
Miguel Bustamante I did! I think this is going to be the Ghostbusters 3 we’ve been waiting for since 1989. It’s going to be directed by the son of the original director. I’m excited for it, but am not getting my hopes up just yet.
The Past is Alive yeah that's true all these sequels and remakes are failing to me
the show is on Tubi
Forest Mysticism is a sick band. You an Elderwind fan?
D B I’m a huge supporter of anything D releases. Woods of Desolation, Unfelled, Remete, Forest Mysticism. Check those out if you haven’t already. I do enjoy Elderwind as well.
All the toy shows and cons I go to I notice people like loose figures for display I'm a MOC guy but I do have loose figures
Joe Mansmann I’m the same way. My loose figure collection dwindles cause I usually end up just selling them. I prefer moc only. I really enjoy the card artwork on pretty much all the 80s/90s toy lines
I think Big Bosses pet is a weasel. Maybe?

Miss the animation though,A time when american type animation had drive and were earth watching.
