3, considering closing one though
I have a
1 saving accounts, a few checking accounts setup for specific expenses (vacation, car expense, student loan, etc).
1 brokerage acct
1 college fund
1 custodial acct
1 Roth IRA
1 custodial Roth IRA (I just opened this acct)

I have 5 Banks accounts in 2 differents banks 2 checking (1 to pay bills, 1 to buy stuffs)and 3 saving accounts but I still have 401K, investment account.
You're absolutely right ✅ All depends on our personal needs & goal. When I still own the small business, I had 2 business checking account ( 1 to pay for bills, others to pay employees). Business is closed for good 👍. Now, I have 1 checking 1 saving, 1 CD in credit union, 1 online saving.
At one bank - checking, reg savings, high yield savings and Traditional IRA, Credit Union checking/savings, 401k (traditional/roth options), Brokerage 2 is used for rollovers roth/traditional/discretionary managed, and Brokerage 3 to try my hand at picking my own investments.
Well first, I have three types of accounts: 1st) Billing paying (checking account); 2nd) Emergency Fund (savings account); and 3rd) Retirement contributions 401(K), 457, and brokage account. In addition, for my checking and savings accounts, I always use a Credit Union (smile...smile).
Great tips! I have 3 - a checking, a money market and a simple savings account.

I have 4 checking and 3 savings accounts.
I have 4 checking accounts, 1 money market savings account, 1 savings account, 1 CD, 2 high-yield savings accounts and 1 401(k).

That's a lot of bank accounts. For right now I only have 3. One is for long term savings; 2- short-medium term savings/emergency; 3- various expenses.

I have 3, checking, emergency fund and savings at my credit union
I have 3 banks accounts - saving, checking and joint. And 2 investment accounts - individual with Fidelity and stocks with Robinhood
One checking, one saving. Yesterday I took a step and looked into a Roth IRA. One day at a time.

How good is fixed deposit account
An IUL would be WAY better than a 529.
How do you determine how much to put in any account.e.g 3 accounts
I would put a small amount you can sustain long term and up from there. Add any additional funds you get split between the accounts equally. Maybe set a goal number and work backwards to see how much you need a week to save to get there.
