I am really worried. The lymph node on my neck has been swelling for at least 4 months now, and I also had mononucleosis two years ago. Ever since then my health hasn’t been as good and I get tired a lot easily.
My doctor did an ultrasound and a blood test. And according to him it is not lymphoma or hypothyroidism. The blood test shows that my blood platelet count is pretty normal. And the ultrasound shows that my biggest lymph node in the area is only 6mm. But I would like to point out that I am less than 5 ft, so I think that 6mm is relatively big for my body size.
I was wondering if I should insist on taking a biopsy even if my doctor said that the result from the blood test and ultrasound indicates that I don’t have lymphoma.
apparently anything less than one cm is not enlarged. Even if you are small 6mm would not be considered enlarged. If you have other symptoms perhaps you can convince them top do a chest xray or something
I was recently diagnosed with type b cell primary brain lymphoma, non Hodgkins. I am 44 male. Local University hospital recommends MRT chemotherapy.
I suggest you research RSO
@@95446John Thanks man
I have Non Hodgkins B double hit (something like that). Been suggested I go through Car T, but that isn't possible for me. Been through chemo once, currently going through treatments every now and again to keep it controlled. 69 yr. old male. Any advice???? Thanks.
As a young medical chemist I find this very educative. Thank you 👍
