Bicycling The Netherlands, Texel Island (October 10, 2023) Another Beautiful Day

- For what turned out to be our last bicycle ride in the Netherlands we took advantage of another beautiful and warm fall day and rode around Texel Island. It turned out that we were not the only ones with this idea and we saw thousands of bicyclists out enjoying another rare 70 F sunny October day. Texel Island did not disappoint and was a great way to finish up some wonderful bicycle riding during our three weeks in the Netherlands. Every bicyclist needs to holiday in the Netherlands and get exposed to the incredible bicycle infrastructure and how beautiful it is to ride through the country and towns. We ended up doing 10 different bicycle rides during our vacation including our 5-day tour from Brugges to Leiden.

Nice! I love Texel and the other Wadden islands. All of them have their own culture, personality, and history. And all of them are cycling paradises.
Texel far exceeded our expectations, the videos we watched on UA-cam did not capture the essence and beauty of the island. We would love to come back and explore more of the Netherlands by bicycle. Thanks for watching!
I like Texel in Summertime, combination of beach and bicycle but yes can be crowded.

On the beach they are looking for oysters and or cockles with low tide, I don't eat them so I am no expert.

Mostly she does not like how it fits and that it seems to be not as comfortable as her previous Columbia rain jacket. The plus is that it is bright and is truly waterproof.
