Thank you for this video. I was confused on how to pray the jesus prayer on the rope. I always just did the jesus prayer without the cross and just saying it one every knot. God bless you 🙏☦️
Hey just a question why in the prayer we keep repeating "Lord jesus christ son of god have mercy on me a sinner" didn't Christ already forgave you? Because he's forgiving he forgave you from the first knot, I'm not against it but please i'd like an answer
The purpose of that Jesus's prayer is not simply to ask for forgiveness and mercy, but it's made that simple to give you the ability to focus on your spiritual side and relationship with Jesus Christ. The more you say it and the more you dive deeper with your focus within the prayer, the more you disconnect from the earthly things and get closer to God. The problem I felt with complex rituals and long prayers like rosary for ex. It's that sometimes you try to recite and remember those long prayers, and instead of focusing on your spirit you focus on saying the prayer right, where the Jesus prayer is simple and comes out natural with practice. That's called the practice of "unceasing prayer" Monks which live for example on mount athos they say the prayer of Jesus Christ all day long"like breath" unceasingly. I even heard that there were monks reciting it even during sleeping or dreaming😄( for you to understand the idea of unceasing prayer), but that needs lots of concentration and devotion. And concentration on your holy spirit can be obtained only by constant repetition, not reciting as many different prayers as possible. God bless your Journey, Amin💪🏻
At 1:35 meant to say "together with the Holy Spirit which is its own person"
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon me, a sinner.
