yup, now if only hollywood would consider action comedy as a genre... However, its been like over 3 decades and hollywood still don't care about action comedy... Jackie chan is probably the only one in all of hollywood to use this style...
Yeah the only difference between them is that Chuck Norris was actually a full contact formal professional competition fighter for a while. Bruce Lee never participated in tournaments, but allegedly had many street fights. Jackie Chan was raised an actor, but he is nonetheless an outstanding athlete.
It's because those are REAL action that being filmed as a long sequence for a single take...whereas the so-called "Action Movies" nowadays lots of star cannot even do proper fights, but the films rely heavily on editing and shaky camera to give false sense of intensiveness for the fights.
are you implying that if they had the tech back then jackie chan would use cgi over practical stunts? cuz even jackie chans latest films use practical stunts.
The mall fight drop scene will always be the most daring stunt any human can make in a movie. seriously. He got injured real bad. His hands were all burn and all but still Jackie is Jackie. What a legend!
this guy deserves more than an award and recognition and the amount of sacrifice he did for his craft is so much astounding ..a real action hero...no other action star in this generation is i can say can do the level that he did..this guy sacrifice his life for entertainment..anyone who have work in the action industry know how hard it is to do such a small sequence it takes a lot of time to create such an epic scene..to all the stunt guys out there hats off and a big respect to you guys!!!without those guys action films wil have no life....they deserve to be recognize in their work for their contribution..we may not know some of them but those guys are the real action heroes..
I'd love to see Jackie Chan do a teamup with other comedians and actors like Rowan Atkinson, Gregor Fischer, Chris Rock, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Will Smith, Martin Laurence, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, Jim Carey, Drew Carey, Ray Romano, Brendan Frasier, Vin Diesel, Gerard Butler, Liam Neeson, Jason Statham, Scott Adkins, Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Nicolas Cage, Sacha Baron Cohen. Film is of the action/comedy genre
Insanely motivating 🤣 Jackie, in his own performance, sacrificing all he's got, gives us ordinary, mortal people a quick insight of what we are, or at least used to be capable of. Everybody, at some point, had been given some form of acrobatic skills. Jackie Chan grew on it. It's simply amazing to watch him do the things that he does. - But parents, - Grow it! It's disipline, - fun, Joy and a real way to grow.
When it comes to choreograph fights and action scenes this man is a f***genius! It's really incredible the never seen before ideias he put in his movies. Drunken Master 2 final sequence for me is one of the best fight sequences on the history of cinema and television. It's just awesome, I could feel the intensity and heat of the fight from my living room watching for the first time. It's was like I was there fighting with him. Just insane. If you never watched I strongly recommended you to search for it.

Jackie Chan has no fear and doesn't really care if he gets hurt. If he does, he just rubs it and moves on to the next scene. The guy is crazy and he's one of my favorites to watch.
I honestly don't remember which JC movie I've seen first but the oldest memory I have of JC is from the warehouse battle in Winners and Sinners. I think I was around 6-7 years old when I watched that on VHS and it stuck with me through the years. After watching that fight as a kid (and given how well done his fight scenes are) I fell in love with martial arts. As a result I have immediately started taking Karate classes at that age, along with ballet and swimming. Yeah... I think Winners and Sinners is the movie that introduced me to my all-time favorite actor :)
for action movies, definitely. Otherwise, I don't think so. Usually women are the best actors since women are more empathetic than men, they can jump from one emotion to another instantly, and thus can change characters quicker than me. So, based on this sound logic that is MINE and mine alone (hehe I'm showing off a little here, but still...) I'm sure that a woman is/was the best actress of all time... or even a man, why not?.... just not JC :)
you know, when you make this "another top ten..." videos, you should put a link to the other Top Ten Video that you are reffering in the description below... so it would be easier to find
venom okayu Sorry to disappoint you but Goku's demeanor and facial recognition was based on Jackie Chan, only thing he took from the Monkey King was his tail, staff and the nimbus cloud.
because they needed to have 2 videos of equal quality created so they can increase their popularity. It's all about getting more views, likes, and other bullshit. No lifers...
I've always loved Jackie's films. But the day a saw Condor blew me away! The motorcycle chase was pretty crazy, I never knew Jackie could do a chase scene like that! But the fight scene in "Who Am I?" where he kicks the guys shins is a personal favorite of mine. Not to mention the prop use of an earring to fight.
the armour of god outtake reminds me of a movie jackie was in. at the end they showed the out take of a fight. jackie and the henchman violently bump heads during a flip. production stopped and the entire film crew came rushing to jackie's aid. while the stuntman/henchman lied on the floor unattended and unconscious. i understand jackie was the star but damn, show some compassion for the other guy.
That is actually part of the reason that he included such dangerous stunts in his movies; before that became a staple of his movies everyone else in the Hong Kong film industry copied him since he first became a big star. When his first _Drunken Master_ film became popular, everyone started doing drunken-style kung-fu movies. When he started adding comedy, everyone else followed suit. Then he started putting in dangerous stunts... and the imitation stopped! Can’t think why(!)
He is acualy one of the most bruised man alive. He had multiple accidents during his stunts, from having permanent ear damage to having some of his bones break, to acualy being hit by a fucking helicopter.
Hands Down and many respect for Jackie 👐 One of my favourite people on Earth. Amazing and fierce fighter yet humble, caring with an amazing personality. He does 95% of his own stunts and thats why he has broken nearly every bone in his body 😂
dont remind me! I just thought about this last week when I've re-watched some of his masterpieces that I have saved on my HDD for re-watches. That's exactly what I thought about when I finished watching those movies. I felt a sudden sadness at the thought that he's aging and he's mortal :(
It will be the biggest day of mourning from the whole world. I don't think Elvis Presley's, Michael Jackson's nor princess Diana's funeral can match his.
The big fight in _Rumble in the Bronx_ will always be my favorite Jackie Chan moment. It's not his best film, nor his best fight. But it was my first taste of Chan's style, prowess and skill. I remember seeing the movie in the late 90's when Chan was finally starting to blow up in the US, and it totally blew my mind.
As a martial artist i always wanted to be like Jacke in his movies. So light. So fast. And the funniest fights i've ever seen. In my opinion even better than Bruce Lee. They have different styles but i love Jackies' muuuch more! In fact he's my favorite Action Star. Ever. Also comedy. He doesn't rely on cheap slapstick.... he does humor with pictures. Top of the notch!
the guy who mixed the comedy with martial art , he is legend
yup, now if only hollywood would consider action comedy as a genre... However, its been like over 3 decades and hollywood still don't care about action comedy... Jackie chan is probably the only one in all of hollywood to use this style...
yeah jackie is legend
Jackie Chan. Respect!!
When Bruce died he was set to being the new Bruce . But declined it because
He wants to be Known as Jackie Chan.
well said
All I have to say to that is fuck yeah👍🏾
I don't think anyone could accept the offer about being the new Bruce, BECAUSE THERE'S ONLY ONE BRUCE LEE AND THAT IS HIM!!
he's Bruce Lee's relative in a SNES game XD
Actually he was forced to try and be the next bruce for a few films. all those films failed, until jackie made the first drunken master
Jackie chan always work hard all his movies so gorgeous he is a legend forever 😍
I agree!
Essentially Jackie gave us a live-action Street Fighter that didn't suck.
some say chuck norris. some say Bruce lee. I say Jackie Chan is the true badass
Totally badass. No actors so dedicated to do the stunts as Jackie.
Yeah the only difference between them is that Chuck Norris was actually a full contact formal professional competition fighter for a while. Bruce Lee never participated in tournaments, but allegedly had many street fights. Jackie Chan was raised an actor, but he is nonetheless an outstanding athlete.
Right. Actor, stuntman, director, writer, martial arts master and perfectionist.
+Salud.y.Vida peter griffin was also those things
+Quinn Quinn true
I swear even his 80's action stunts are far more believable and therefore better than today's Hollywood's "Action Movies".
It's because those are REAL action that being filmed as a long sequence for a single take...whereas the so-called "Action Movies" nowadays lots of star cannot even do proper fights, but the films rely heavily on editing and shaky camera to give false sense of intensiveness for the fights.
Try to imagine if "The Foreigner" latest movie is made in 80s or 90s. XD
LyricsOfBestSongs Maybe cause back then they didn't have the technology we have today? Whereas now we just use heavy editing and special effects.
are you implying that if they had the tech back then jackie chan would use cgi over practical stunts? cuz even jackie chans latest films use practical stunts.
Maybe cuz today's movies are packed full of cgi shit.
The GREATEST ACTION STAR OF ALL TIME PERIOD.
no one's arguing with that, so you didn't have to type it in all caps :)

If there ever is a (decent) live-action ‘Tekken’ film, Jackie Chan would be perfect as Lei Wulong
The character is based on him and a couple of the cop roles he's played
He's too old for this shit.
+Илья Шигин no,u are wrong,actually
this shit is too old for him
Yes , but Lei is already based on him , and don´t forget the Marshall Law based on Bruce Lee .
well that's easy. Cause if Paul Phoenix had any longer screentime, they'd realize the mistake they made making the movie about Jin.
now I remember why i'm not a fan of todays action movie fight/action scene, it's mainly cgi with shaking cameras
YEAH SAME HERE
yeah, it's all about making a cool pose
Hey atleast no one has to get hurt right?
Big alzo Don't forget about the rapid fire editing that makes it look like no one did a single bit of real stunt work.
AMEN to that statement!
What a fantastic entertainer. Jackie Chan deserves even more praise than he already receives he truly is one of the greatest of entertainers.
The best stunt man and action actor in the world!
Such a legend.
Jackie was one of my childhood's heroes, I was always amazed by the fact he actually did all this dangerous tricks himself. He's the truest badass
He took the term YOLO a bit too serious. But we still love his stunts.
ikr? where and what did I do to found this video in 2016
