Beautiful birds and put together so well, thank you ❤
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it
That photo at the end of the Hooded Parrot with the second parrot in flight 👌Absolutely wonderful shot
Thank you. It was one of those shots I didn’t realise I had taken until I got home and looked at the images. One of my favourites from that trip
Great video Roger, nicely put together, worked around Pine Creek for nearly 10 years ages ago, and never managed to find the "Hooded", well done !!!
Well done Roger and nice to reminisce tripping around that part of Australia.
Thank you. It’s a beautiful part of the country
Roger uploads, I watch
☺️ hope you enjoyed this one
Another wonderful birding adventure 😍 The Pheasant Coucal - what a bird! I've only had a brief sighting, they are magnificent
Before this I only had distant sightings through a car window, was very cool having one right in front of us, and not care that we were there!
I went through Pine Creek earlier this year, unfortunately didn't have time to stay there for a night, but we managed to pick up Hooded Parrot at Katherine. I must agree that they are a stunning bird.
When we drove down to Alice Springs on the same trip we got shocked as a stretch of road had about 300+ Diamond Doves feeding along it.
Sounds like an amazing trip. Our country is so big it is hard to know where to stay overnight and where to keep driving, no matter where you go there are usually interesting birds to see.
❤i get the PHEASANT coucal at my place❤
That’s awesome, they are an impressive bird
20:53, woaaah. That'd make one heck of a print.
Thank you, and Cheers from North Carolina, US.
I’m thinking the same, very happy with that photo. I’m actually flying to USA 🇺🇸 later today, just to California and doing a little bit of birding
While Australian wildlife seems generally pretty crazy, over here it's the people. I wish you safe and pleasant travels. It'll be interesting to hear/see your take on our wildlife. You're seeing the better half of the US from that standpoint. I suspect we have pretty dull wildlife due to our, basically, bulldozing of the country throughout the past. We shall see, and get some good close-ups of it too. 🤞Best of luck!
Pine creek is an awesome birding place. Try Fogg dam as well whilst you're in the NT.
It sure is! Yes Fogg dam is also amazing, check out my previous video for birds from that location.
Best spot for Hooded Parrots is out the road a bit at Pussy Cat Flats.
That is a good tip for anyone on the lookout
@@RogerMacKertich You can get some Gouldians out there if your lucky, we weren't.🤷
Great job, wife and I are looking to go to pine Creek area next early September 2025,it would be great to know what gear you are using for stills,I use Canon r7 with 100-400 5.6 and 1 4 plus 2x extenders for extra reach, cheers Wayne from Sydney.
Have a great adventure when you go. Check my previous video for locations around Darwin. I’m using a Nikon Z9 with a 400mm2.8, most of the waterhole birds I also used a 2xTC.
