Jackpot. Eureka! GOLD! This is what I am talking about. I will subscribe to your chanel because of this. Exactly what I need. Just said to someone last night. Why do they only show the yarn worked up in a knit pattern. You gius have taken it up to another level. Especially for color pooling. Yoi can see how the quickly- or gradually- the colors change
Hello Glenda and Cody. Glenda you are such a blessing to share your experiences and teachings with crochet. I've been crocheting for over 50yrs and I just love watching your videos. I still learn something new all the time. Cody you're a great help also and I'm glad you're following your grandma. You both are such a dream to watch. I love how you did the samples so we could see how they look. The ripple stitch was my favorite also.
Hi Glenda and Cody. Really enjoyed this video. Did you think about putting your small samples on a "sample wall"? You could simply use foam board and stick pins. That way you could pin up your samples as you describe them. Also, when they're all pinned on the wall, it would be easier for your viewers to compare each sample. Just a suggestion. Love your channel even though I'm a knitter. 😊
I've made crochet waffle stitch hats using two skeins of ice cream, held double. Depending which colors are overlapping between the two skeins you get an interesting blending of the color transitions. I bet the funfetti and tutti fruity would be interesting if worked up double stranded.
I love the Ice Cream yarn. I have made a baby blanket in the tutti frutti in a sc, dc, stitch pattern and it came out cute. I really like the way the ripple stitch came out the best. And my favorite one was the FUNFETTI in the ripple stitch. It really came out nice. I love the coloring and I am going to get some Ice Cream Funfetti yarn in the tutti-frutti! I have never tried that before. Thank you Cody for showing ALL the samples and particularly the FUNFETTI, Great job! 🤗👍🎉
The first big project I ever made crocheting was the ripple stitch in 1974 when I was a senior in high school. I made it as a gift for my sister when she got married. I didn’t really know how to turn and of course there wasn’t the videos back then, so my edges weren’t really straight. I’ve loved crocheting ever since! Such a wonderful hobby! Cody, you are doing a terrific job!
I also used the tutti-frutti in a baby blanket, infinity granny rectangle. The pattern I used, you turn your work over so that you don’t have a right and wrong side. I loved not having a right and wrong side, but it did make a line in the blanket.
What a great idea! Absolutely the best info you could show to new crocheters and the experienced too! These new yarns out there are sometimes puzzling so this is sooo helpful . Have to admit that for that particular yarn the Ripple was my fav. And let me tell ya Cody that #5 issue would have confused anyone. Those yarns looked identical on my smartphone, but could see big diff when worked up . Thanks for sharing that little bit of humor. When shopping online would not have caught that but will be careful thanks to you two!
Thanks, Cody, for all of your swatches. I only know how to do the Granny Square stitch. I can hardly wait to get my yarn order so that I can learn the ripple stitch. Thanks, Glenda, for another informative video.
By the way, I happen to like the pop of bright color that happens with a lot of the ice cream yarns. The self striping aspect of the yarn is really nice. I love everything about lion Brand ice cream. By the way, lion Brand actually had a wonderful cotton blend ice cream yard that has been discontinued. Thanks again, Glenda for telling us about this so that we could go online and buy as much of this wonderful yard as we can afford. By the way, linda, I want to thank you again for telling us that the ice cream cotton blend yarn was going to be discontinued. This allows us to stock up on that wonderful yarn. I still have a little bit of the blue left. I don’t know why they discontinued such a beautiful Yarn. That just didn’t make any sense to me, but nobody asked me. If they had asked me, I would’ve said. NO. keep it on the shelf. I don’t know anyone who didn’t love this yarn.
Great idea with 5 swatches/ different stitches. Personally, I don't like hard color changes like in this yarn. Seeing it though, I'd probably go with squares, not necessarily a basic granny, to try to blend it all together better.
This is my first time watching your videos. Ironically I had just finished making projects with the Lion Brand Ice Cream Tutti Fruity. First I knitted a pair of socks and had plenty of yarn leftover. So I made a crocheted Granny stitch bucket hat and then a triangular shaped granny stitch shawl. I wore these to my Senior Center lunch last week and everyone just loved them. Thanks for the videos, I have subscribed and hope to see more from you. I'm an 84 year old knitter, and crocheter but never too old to learn new things.
Love the Tutti-Fruitti Chevron sample. I like the Wave Chevron sample also much more than any of the other samples in this video. (I'd be just like Cody; couldn''t tell the difference very easily! Enjoyable video, as usual, Glenda.
Wow….Cody, I still didn’t see the difference between the Funfetti and the Tutti Fruitti at the end. 😳 I thought they were the same! Boy, that grandma of yours has a good eye! lol. Thanks for doing this for us! 👍
Lion Brand S makes wonderful baby blankets. This yarn is so nice, and the colors are so pretty. I’ve made a lot of preemie and newborn blankets out of this yarn. In fact, at one point, I had a whole laundry basket full of ice cream yard. Will make a pretty blanket. I’ve also used it to make little hats to match the blankets. Good stuff for sure.❤
Love your videos. Right now I'm making a Tunisian crochet Afghan with a giant dachshund on it. 50 rows to go out of 209. I've been crocheting for over 50 years. I love seeing all the different yarns!
I have always found it interesting how variegated yarns look so different depending on the stitch pattern. I sometimes think they are more suited to knitting. I have often been disappointed by how they turned out.
That’s what a fun video. I am definitely enjoying seeing Cody, and he is a pretty good crochet. It was fun to see how the same yarn looks so different, depending on what you use. My favorites stitch was a small ripple, and I’m going to look it up today. I need lots of baby blankets using lion brand’s Ice Cream yarn. It’s just perfect. It washes and dries beautifully, and comes out so soft. As I said before, I have five grown grandsons., So seeing the two of you together is a treat. I love nothing better than to spend time with my boys. Thanks for making these great videos. Sandy from Cincinnati 0:030:030:030:03
Hello Glenda and Cody. Love you two. You both complement each other you are so much alike and I see the grandma love every time you are together. I’m not a self striping fan of yarn so I usually avoid them. But your samples are pretty. Take care.
Hi Glenda & Cody. Thanks for the stitch pattern swatches using Lion brand Ice Cream yarn. I liked the row by row granny stitch & the ripple patterns using this yarn. Thanks also for showing the differences between the similar looking Tutti Fruti & Funfetti yarns & how they look in swatches. ❤️ Cody, your swatches look amazing. Wish my crochet edges always looked that good . 😊
My favorite is the granny and the ripple. This was a great informative video on how a stitch can change to whole look of a project. Thanks Glenda and Coty.
The ripple looked good. I pick the ripple as my favorite. But I would have used a different colorway. The yarn was pretty but there are other colorways in this yarn that I would use before tutti fruiti. Good video seeing a couple different patterns used.
I like the Tutti Frutti better - that slightly marled look with the colors made it look at little muted and blended together - IMO. Thank you both for another great video!!!
It's so interesting to see how the variegated yarn works up with different stitches. I liked the V-stitch the best, and the ripple looks so elegant. I'm "hooked" on your channel now. Practical advice!
I am so happy you did this. I was hoping you would .My favorite is the Chevron in the funfetti My grandaughters would love it. I hope you continue this 1colorway, several different stitch styles. Great idea. Thanks

Cody is a character and always fun to watch!!! Love the tutorial videos, as I learn something new. 😄
What an excellent video. I never thought about different stitches making the yarn look different. Thank you!
You are clever, skilled and talented.
I absolutely love the ripple stitch❤
The ripple and row granny were my favorites. Thanks for doing this for us much appreciated
I love the one yarn different stitches! It really helps me decide what yarn or what stitch I want to use.

That blanket is a masterpiece.
I’m currently making a granny square baby blanket using the Tuttti Frutti and I love it, it’s beautiful! Thank you for showing this yarn.

Ripple was my favorite! I love seeing the relationship between you and your grandson. You two are truly blessed.🙏
Have to say that ripple sample is gorgeous. Thank you Cody and Glenda. Good experiment.

The ripple stitch is my favourite well done cody
I love the row by row granny stitch!
I like the ripple stitch. It’s interesting to see the difference between the stitches in one color way. Thank you for sharing. 🧶💜🙏🏻
Thank you Cody, for all your work. It's great to see a yarn in several stitch patterns,, such a difference!
Thank you for watching!!! 💜
Hi Glenda and Cody. I like this type, when you use 1 yarn and make multi stitches. RIPPLE ❤
The ripple is my favorite of your samples. Fun to see the difference using different stitches and different widths. 😊
The first big project I ever made crocheting was the ripple stitch in 1974 when I was a senior in high school. I made it as a gift for my sister when she got married. The ripple is my fav and the wave with the other color!!!!
I definitely liked the ripple stitch swatch. Thanks👍👍

Thank you for working up all these swatches. They are lovely 🌹
Thanks, Cody, for all of your swatches. I only know how to do the Granny Square stitch. I can hardly wait to get my yarn order so that I can learn the ripple stitch. Thanks, Glenda, for another informative video.

Thank you! Both As always! I Love the Ripple Stitch!❤
That is beautiful ! You sure do a fantastic job crocheting! I ove watching you and Cody!❤❤
Great idea with 5 swatches/ different stitches. Personally, I don't like hard color changes like in this yarn. Seeing it though, I'd probably go with squares, not necessarily a basic granny, to try to blend it all together better.
Love the floral blanket. I want to do one.
This is my first time watching your videos. Ironically I had just finished making projects with the Lion Brand Ice Cream Tutti Fruity. First I knitted a pair of socks and had plenty of yarn leftover. I'm an 84 year old knitter, and crocheter but never too old to learn new things.
the easy ripple... I have the tuti fruti large ball of ice cream yarn. I made a lap blanket with it
That little ripple stitch is so adorable. I definitely want to make a baby blanket using the stitch. It looks so cute, for one of a better word.
What a great idea to show different stitches with the same yarn. It quite helpful. Great job Cody. Love that yarn and love the stitches.

I like "v stitch" most but I'm loving the color saturation of Funfetti. Best of both worlds!
Loved the ripple
Hi Glenda and Cody..I vote for the ripple stitch
I can't wait to watch you every day

I have always found it interesting how variegated yarns look so different depending on the stitch pattern. I sometimes think they are more suited to knitting.

They’re all pretty, but I have to agree that the ripple stands out a bit more. 😊
Hello Glenda and Cody. Love you two. You both complement each other you are so much alike and I see the grandma love every time you are together. I’m not a self striping fan of yarn so I usually avoid them. But your samples are pretty. Take care.
I liked the Funfetti the best
I'm crocheting your simple ripple stitch blanket at the moment. Love it. So much fun to make
Hi Glenda & Cody. Thanks for the stitch pattern swatches using Lion brand Ice Cream yarn. I liked the row by row granny stitch & the ripple patterns using this yarn. Great idea. Thanks

The row by row granny!❤️❤️
