Jayda, I learned how to crochet exclusively through your videos! I love your tutorials, you always make me feel like I CAN do it, I don't feel overwhelmed when I'm doing one of your patterns. You're so encouraging, and you have such a positive, fun way of teaching, plus you are truly excellent at knowing what might need to be explained more clearly for the newbie, and you do it well. I started trying to teach myself crochet several years ago, and if I hadn't stumbled upon your tutorials, I'm not sure that I would've stuck with it. I would consider myself an avid crocheter these days, and although I know I still have lots to learn, it's a valued hobby that I enjoy immensely, and I'd like to thank you for your part in that!
I found it easier to determine when working the border where to put the 1st spike stitch of the group of 4 double crochet by counting 4 double crochet from the space where the spike stitches of the previous set are.
Jayda this would have to be one of the most simplest and beautiful baby blanket I have ever seen, after watching only once already I have the pattern stored in my head and here in Australia we are in autumn so winter isn't too far away, you don't get any prizes for guessing what my next project will be for my 8 month old Grand Daughter, thank you, thank you thank you for ALL your shares you are a gem and a friend, take care and stay well, lots of love coming your way.
Hi Jayda, just did up a swatch with this stitch, love it!! After the baby blanket, planning to make a wrap, FOR ME!!!! Do so enjoy all of your live streams and tutorials. Have learned so much from you!! Thank you
Thats exactly how i think when i start a baby blanket. My pen pal sends me videos of her one year old dragging the blanket all around (including on the ground) haha. It melts my heart and makes me so proud of myself for making it 🥰
This blanket is lovely. I just saw this yarn at my local Joanns which makes me really happy because I am putting this project on my to do list right now!
So pretty yet easy.. You are right it looks like stacked hay stacks .. My very favorite stitch is the waffle stitch and I use it for charity blankets. But. May have a new favorite Thank you for sharing your talents 💕🙏🏼🌷
Jada ,congratulations on your 500.000 subscribers !!!!! You’re the first one I found when my daughter gave me this IPad. You thought me so much, if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be doing all the crocheting I do now . Thank you soooo much !! 🥰
What beautiful colors and stitches! I will definitely need to make this. Our local pregnancy center gives hand crafted blankets to women who come in and have their babies.
I really liked this blanket. Plus the colors are stunning. Thanks for sharing this. Its something I can do when I'm at a standstill. I love this blanket bcuz the stitch is new to me. Hugs, Anita S.
I'm making my very first baby blanket for my dear friend who had infertility troubles and has finally gotten pregnant. I really needed the reassurance and reminder that even if the blanket is small there are a lot of ways a baby blanket can grow with it's child 💙 I just want this to be something that'll be loved for a long time so I appreciated that peptalk intro 💙
Hello Jayda. My compliments of a Beautiful Stitch tutorial, It's so different than any stitch I've seen, I will differently try this stitch, I like to say to You and Mr. Stitches Happy Easter 🙏🙏, May God Blessings be with you Both. 💖💖
I love this stitch. I’m making my granddaughter a unicorn afghan (a Mary Maxim kit) that uses this stitch, but I love the way your yarn make such a cute stripe pattern. Happy Easter!🐣
I had one skein of the same colors so it was meant to be! My mint skein must have been returned after using a bit because I was barely able to win at yarn chicken with that color. I did 6 rows of each color then changed to the next color. I’m about to do the border in white because I don’t have much left and I don’t want to chance running out then having to frog it and redo in white.
Baby blanket made using these colors for a new little one coming in December. Just found out that the new bundle coming in December needs a different color!! So have decided on the blueberry and coffee.
Thanks Jayda, for posting a tutorial for this gorgeous baby blanket!!❤️❤️ My friend is expecting a baby girl this Fall. I'm making the booties, hat and blanket for a special keepsake present. Chose the colors Strawberry and Mint. Starting row 20, as we speak!! It is looking absolutely stunning!! I'll post a pic on Instagram, when it's finished. Thanks so much!! Kim.🥰
Hi Jada!! I just rewatched the Cross Back Baby Bootie tutorial, and I was just curious as to why the matching baby baby blanket has an odd row of single crochet in between the motifs and the booties don't??
Oh my goodness…I'm definitely going to make this...I don't have any Ice Cream yarn, but I'm going to try this is some Self-Striping Mandela Baby yarn instead!! Now all we need is a cute, little baby beanie/hat in the same stitch to make a match set...hint, hint!! 😊
I had been looking for a project for a skein of the big scoop (purchased it for my Addi, which the machine didn’t like), this works perfect! I’m already a few rows in and love the way it is stitching up 😊

Hello from Canada! If I understand correctly, you're looking for a crochet stitch with texture (not a flat, 2D pattern) that doesn't use up much yarn? Lovely pattern:) You are using my favorite yarn. Checked my stash and I have some, so this will be on my hook soon. Would like to know your finished dimensions - was not in the written pattern either. Looking forward to any patterns you come up with for the Roving yarn. I bought some on sale - absolutely love the look of it. Thank you for the great tutorial😊
Hi Margaret, the written pattern includes the dimensions (before blocking) in the notes section on page 2 and it's also in the pattern description in our shop 💗 Before blocking it's 27.5 x 30". But of course you can make it larger too if you're using more yarn (like the Big Scoop). I hope that helps 😊
I think of the same as they grow its their blanket to have!! actually my brother whos 13 has a blanket (not crocheted or knitted) that he had since he was born and now he carries it all over the house and when he's reading he holds it😂❤

Hi Melody, the best stitches for spiral patterns are solid stitches like hdc or dc (and the increase can be a V-st if you want to include a space for interest!). 😊
