    Definitely worth the money! I bought mine installed it last weekend. Hardest part i was having was installing the gaskets as they wouldn't stay in. The sound is amazing Definitely much better in person!!

    Best install video. Well done. I'm partial to the exhaust without the db killer because of the rasping noise when it's idling down when it's in. Honestly I wouldn't have bought the carbon if I couldn't remove it. Such a difference in sound when it's out.

    Thank you! this is just what i needed. I'm going to install my Akra tomorrow, but my dealer told me i didnt neccessarily needed new exhaust gaskets, so i didnt get them. i bought my bike new and it has only 3300 km on it so far, so i suppose it cant hurt re-using the original ones.

      +Cavaignac ! MT-07 I doubt it will scratch the exhaust. Its their race exhaust so it tucks up higher than the titanium version. I think you will hit your foot or pegs before the exhaust.

    hey this is excellent... worked perfectly.... the only issue is that when I put on the new muffler.. the springs didn't match up to alignment to the exhaust that fits underneath. The Springs on the underneath muffler matched up.. but just wondering where I went wrong?

    • @youcameagain564
      @youcameagain564 4 роки тому

      So basically the rubber on the springs are now touching the exhaust (cause they are slightly twisted) and I believe they might be causing a slight burning smell??

    Great video. What is the difference between the titanium one and this one. Is the carbon one better in terms of performance? I really don't know which one to get?

    • @TacMotovlog
      @TacMotovlog  8 років тому

      +Embers I don't really see much or have heard of a difference performance wise between the two. Revzilla has a chart comparison between the two and according to that the carbon does produce 1-2 HP more that he titanium. No mention if they used a modified map to achieve these results though. I personally went with the carbon because after hearing some Titanium units in person it sounded a little tinny to me. The Carbon seems to have a more deep and clean tone to it not to mention its a couple hundred cheaper as well. The best performance gains will be achieved though the use of a power commander and a few runs on a dyno if you are so inclined.

    What's the exhaust springs for?? Forgive my ignorance.
    And, Is this akrapovic carbon better than the full titanium akrapovic ?? Witch one is louder?

    • @morganhodge6760
      @morganhodge6760 5 років тому +3

      Springs don't seize up (like a clamp could) and can expand and contract with the exhaust as it heats and cools. Basically they allow the exhaust to do its thing through the course or a heat cycle.

    • @Ranhola1
      @Ranhola1 5 років тому +1

      @@morganhodge6760 "its thing"? What exactly is that? I still don't understand. You told that don't expand and accordingly with the heat they change. I still don't understand what their job are

    • @morganhodge6760
      @morganhodge6760 5 років тому +2

      The springs are on there to hold all of the parts of the exhaust system together (rather than using ring clamps and bolts). As the exhaust system heats up, the pipes expand slightly. By holding the system together with springs, the exhaust can expand freely. "It's thing" is basically that - heating and cooling and the expansion and contraction associated with that. Your exhaust needs to be able to expand a little bit and the springs allow it to do that. Ring clamps can bind up and seize. Springs can also handle the vibrations associated with motorcycle engines. I hope this helped.

    • @Ranhola1
      @Ranhola1 5 років тому +1

      @@morganhodge6760 Wow Great! Good explanation it helped, thanks. Now I get it. It substitute the bolts and I never would've thought that cus judging by the look of it doesn't seem that could hold all that together!!! It must be a very strong spring then, and by your explanation it seems to me to be a better option... thanks man 👍👍

    • @TacMotovlog
      @TacMotovlog  8 років тому

      No filter and no power commander. Its not needed but if you want to get rid of the pops when you let off the throttle then you will need the programmer. Personally I like the pops and the little blast of flame that sometimes comes with it. ;)

    • @TacMotovlog
      @TacMotovlog  8 років тому

      +chris j Depends on the ride. Highway the wind being on a naked bike with no windscreen is not ideal for extended periods but a good helmet helps. Pretty much common to all naked bikes though. In the city riding around for several hours which I do quite often no issues.

    Is the DB killer easy to remove? I had an Akra on my CB500F and it was a pain to remove after about 500 miles of riding with it in. Great video BTW.

    • @TacMotovlog
      @TacMotovlog  7 років тому +1

      +Nick George yes there is a small access port on the rear of the can covered by a plug to aid in the removal. I might make a video of it for next season on the dB eliminator removal with before and after sound also.

I didn't fount anything on the manual and I saw that you applied three drops to each gaskets, did you spread the paste to both sides of the gaskets, or only the side that touch the headers? thanks a lot for the video and will appreciate if you could help me.
