So jacked up for November. I'm a rifle hunter in Maine and love this podcast..always smirk when jared hates on guns and crossbows. We all just love to hunt!
The conversation about the hole in the horn buck and the subjectivity of B&C scoring is exactly why Buckmasters has the best scoring system. Using total gross inches and then separating deer by percentage of irregularity. Makes way more sense and is less subjective.
Another great episode! Nice to see a guy from Florida (Im a native). While we don't produce giants, we do have year around outdoorsman activities! Headed to my farm this weekend for opening bow.
I have the original magazine with the hole in the horn buck on the cover and my great uncle was one of the original people working on the railroad that actually found the deer
Have you guys ever thought about getting like a weekend warrior on the podcast and just getting their outlook on the season, and things they try to do with the limkted time they have and what not ? Could be an interesting angle.
sometimes, I'm joyful i can't afford to lose the surprise or adventure, though I do strive a day to be the one on my own land. It's weird to think as a southern hunter. Any bow hunted deer makes a sense of accomplishment.
Lee ellis has 3 200" deer a handfull 190" a handful of 180s. Same with ben rising 3 200s andre daquisto has 3 all od the deer mentioned are on video aswell
I’m 60, and from southwestern part of Ohio. I started bow hunting around 80. I remember when seeing a deer in my area was a big thing, much less killing one. I remember back in the day, when that came out in North American Whitetail Magazine. It has been my goal to get to that point for years, with my bow. I’ve got it, but they’re acting like it’s an easy task. If you’re taking 160’s and above on a regular basis, you’ve got a great area to hunt, or a lot of land to grow deer. In my 40+ years of bow hunting I’ve seen maybe 5 bucks that went over 170, and watched one in velvet once that went over 200” non/typical.
Shot hoyt and pse my entire life. Then tried a prime. Try prime and then tell me about how good your hoyt is. Bet you would switch if it wasnt for sponsers. Great podcast guys. Keep up the good work.
Prime makes a good bow, I worked with them for several years and killed some great deer with them. That said in no way is it close to a Hoyt. Just different levels of technology
Lee is a joke..Who hunts tame city pet deer.I have seen him set up in a blind on a guys driveway. On another hunt the kids were playing just 10 yards away.On top of that he uses bait and call cams in town.. Anyone can shoot big ones doing that.
How ironic it will be if the charges do indeed get dropped. In my opinion, the charges would only be dropped because it turns out that evidence was collected improperly. The whole investigation started on a technicality, and so maybe a technicality is its undoing. That said, the evidence is overwhelming that CJs story is bogus. But, still, he put in the time to hunt Megatron on Megatron's turf. He just didn't have permission, which apparently no one had permission to hunt that land. So in a way, CJ had exclusive access to a monster, which, that privilege usually only comes when a hunter has mega$$$$. CJ is the Robin Hood of the current whitetail world.
Hard to discredit Michigan DNR who also had seen the deer alive on the hoof. Do better research. I usually love to listen to you guys. But hate when you take a guest words as concrete proof.
Man…Jared…in the last couple weeks you’ve claimed to not know that XOP was still in business AND you didn’t know what the Hole In The Horn buck was? Are you sure your a hunting influencer and not just an NPC?
You'll should do more looking into rompala's buck and not mock him so much. Being you'll did have Cj on your podcast which could be all lies. There is plenty of good points on the real side of rompala's buck. Eberhart hasnt killed any really big deer since hes been on everyones youtube channels. I have heard quite a few rumors about him but no one is going around ruining his reputation. Social media has to much shaming and scores matter more than the things that truly matter in hunting.
@HUNTRPOD I live in traverse city. No way that buck is real and no way he's killed that many bucks with a 25in spread. This area is not known for big deer whatsoever
@@patrickfarris8048 I live near Front Royal Va which you dont hear of world record potential deer from there but James Smith killed a 259 inch buck in 1992. Awesome episode! You gotta put like a hundred word limit on Jared for these things lol
Don Higgins should be in the multiple 200 inch conversations.
Im trying hard to keep up this past two weeks. These non-tuesday drops are putting me way behind lol😂
Love the channel John!
@@nickdinardo5234 thanks! Glad you enjoy the vids!

6 deer that equal 900 inches is crazy. My best 6 equal 670 and for my area (the Ozarks) I thought that was pretty good..
Gross or net lol 😂
@@KillenNReelinoutdoors Gross because nets are for fishing. They re all pretty symmetrical so my nets about 630

Y'all never say Minnesota! We got a wolf issue too! We have a zone in northeast Minnesota that went from 660 deer harvested to 60.
No you’re right Minnesota is real bad. At one point parts of that state were producing mega giants
Great interview guys. But man, going crazy hearing the two of you, using the word "like".
There's a place for it, but not every other word...
Don higgins has several 200's
If you had a deer farm you would to..lol
Out of curiosity do you guys just not really talk about the Huff Buck purely cause it was taken by a crossbow?
Yes, really unfortunate that animal was taken by a non handicapped person using a tool for elderly and handicap people.
