Thanks for the summer series lake trout, I've watched every single one of them! I was wondering why you don't troll more? I have a footpedal trolling motor but no spot lock and no live scope (garmin striker 4) and have found trolling more effictive. I'm sure jigging is more effective with spotlock and livescope I'm sure helps too but for people sans those tools would you still recommed jigging? I guess what I'm asking is is trolling the best method to start if you don't have spot lock or live scope? Thanks again for the great, information you put out there!
Thanks for watching!! I find trolling pretty boring, but I am not that dialed in. But yes I would suggest to troll if you don't have spot lock. Having livescope is nice but definitely not necessary. I'll be doing some trolling videos in the spring when they are more reachable
Quality Fish! Nice to see your prototype come into market, I agree it's action is missing in our arsenals
Couldn't agree more!
I jig 80 to 200 ft , what set up is best for me , don't need the built in map have that on my other fish finder
Garmin 93sv with the gt54 transducer
What if you don't need the map , what would just the screen be called

In my area we have a lake that there's a bounty for lake trout on. I'm really wanting to do this for a living I'm working on getting a boat and buying the tackle it's the rods and reels that I could use some help work what bait caster reels do you use and what's a good rod to pair it with?
I'm guessing if there's a bounty there's going to be lots of them. I've had really good luck with Abu Garcia baitcasting reels. And I match the rod with however heavy jig you want to run. Both rods I really like they don't make anymore but I would start with a cheaper heavy bass rod
@@BendItFishing yeah they pay $15 per head all they want is the head and it's a high body of water the state pays out about 2 billion a year to fisherman on this body of water. I recently lost my leg so can't do the hard labor I'm used to, so I gotta figure out an income somehow.
@catch22fishing65 sorry to hear that. Id go with normal bass gear, it's basically all I use
@@BendItFishing IDK this lake is really really really deep 300 plus ft 😂😆 but yeah I'll have to get gear that can reach that deep
@catch22fishing65 they won't be down that deep, watch my summer Lake Trout series
Nice catches! I have fish envy... No hits this weekend for me 😢
Bummer
