Will Vanhoozer it's nice quiet I bet it sounds good when u drive on the streets I don't know if u live in a big city or town but in a big city the cars sound loud nice or just nice cause of the small streets and cars parked on both sides😂 if u inside a house or building u can here and feel the muscle cars a block or two away even more farther😂🍻🍻🍻👏👏👏👏

Thank you. I don't have any power numbers and haven't ran the car at the track since the new engine combination went in. It is VERY strong. I shift at 6800 but have ran it to 7000 many times. The BBC hydraulic roller can turn the rpm if you have the correct valve train combination and they are set up correctly.

The 4603's make a little noise. Mine work best at Zero lash + 3/4 to 1 full turn. I played with several different adjustments and that is what worked for me. The 290 head is phenomenal from what I hear. Just make sure you have enough spring pressure if you are using the AFR springs. Chris Straub @ Straub Technologies can help you out. Also, rocker arm geometry is crucial. Scott @ Straub Technologies can help you with getting the correct push rod length. Good luck and keep me posted on your progress.
I got the pypes 3" with the X crossover and borla mufflers on my 64. Flowmaster doesn't make a muffler in 304SS the borla mufflers sound just perfect and shine like the pipes.

It is my step-fathers who bought it brand new off the showroom floor, drove it 64k miles in 7 years then parked it in a field. I dragged it out of that field 40 years later and full of rust. His health won't allow him to work on it with me but I hope to have it on the road again and be able to take him for a ride in it soon. I was thinking 44's because I love that sound but I plan to highway drive it a lot so I'm worried it will be obnoxious loud with a lot of drone. (I'm well into middle age and don't handle loud sounds for long periods of time like I used to...) My other thought was 40 delta flows which are supposed to reduce interior drone but not sure they sound the same outside. Your thoughts for a highway driver? Are you still running 44's or have you tried others? Thanks for the videos.
Tried the Pypes mufflers that came with the kit. They were awful! Bought the 44's and never looked back. With 5-speed I'm turning about 1900 RPM @ 70mph and can still have a conversation without screaming. I have an X-Pipe if that matters.
I have super 44s on my 2002 2500hd 6.0 daily driver. With the windows down and cruising its pretty darn quiet. Down the Interstate with 4.11 gears it's very quiet. I also have them on a 383 with long tubes and an x pipe dumped in front of the rear axle. Theyre definitely not a quite muffler when you stand on it but at idle they have a very deep quiet rumble to them and are very quiet while cruising. I have 2 super 44s on 2 different pickups and love them. When I redo the exhaust on my nova once my engine is built I'll definitely be running them

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called "Abgasbespaßungsverbots- und Kontrollverordnung" in German.

I have the Pypes 2.5" Xpipe system with the Pypes raceflow mufflers on my '72. Excellent flow but I miss the chambered sound.

6800...LOL ! I have a 69 L-78 SS Chevelle 4Spd. I have taken it to 59 or 6 a few times stock valvetrain. the 68 scares the hell out of me.

Thanks for the compliment. I think the color is 2001 Chrysler Silver. Either PS1 or PS2. It was on PT Cruiser's and Sebring's I think.

turn downs for flomasters??? NO use tailpipes ALWAYS for flowmasters. they sound way better and drone less unless its a full race mufflers.
Why ruin the sound with an x pipe? H pipe, maybe. X pipe on a classic muscle car is just wrong.
