Thanks for sharing a bit of your story! Also, you are correct in saying we can lose sight of why we pray and it becomes a detriment rather than a blessing. But for the vast majority of us, praying is a wonderful spiritual exercise!
Before covid on Halloween, I went to a cemetery and brushed off leaves from 50 different headstones as I walked to each one, I offered a Hail Mary for them by name as I went along. Then, at the end, I offered the entire Rosary to all souls in the Cemetery. I'd like to go back to doing that. It was so peaceful.
@Leah Wilson thank you. I remember hearing how people have no one to pray for them when they are dead, and so I thought to individually pray for them by name. My goal was to go back for the next 2 days, but I was not feeling good. I'll try starting back up this year, even before Halloween.
Recently i had been to a garage sale I purchased a handbag to my surprise I found a beautiful white rosary inside nicely wrapped in a soft white paper. I was so touched.
The Virgin Mary adopted me after I lost my mother. Since then I am more then blessed . We have become so close and I pray rosary 20 every day. I am so loved by Mary.
The Rosary is a long and very beautiful prayer, be always prepared for it with meditation. Don't pray when you're tired or sleepy, don't start right away, just take time to relax and meditate before you start, other words give it the time needed, it's worth it. Pray each mystery offered to the Holy Virgin with deep respect and appreciation then when you start the our Father and the 10 Hail Mary, imagine yourself present at the scene of the mystery more than 2000 years ago, kneeling behind and at the feet of the most Holy Queen, offering hommage and compassion, imagine yourself right there for example at the scene on Golgotha where Jesus crucified on the cross, kneeling behind Mary who's standing beside the cross, and praying the Hail Mary with such a deep compassion to Her agony and sufferings. Compassion and appreciation, meditate on making Her feeling consoled from your prayers, if She's happy be jubilant for Her, if She's worried give Her comfort, if She's in sadness give Her consolation, that's what the whole Rosary is all about, pray it that way and you'll never get distracted nor bored and remember when you have compassion, love and appreciation for the Mother of God, you're having the same compassion, love and appreciation for Jesus, He love His Mother so much that whoever loves His Mother with all their hearts, they'll have a special place in Jesus's heart. May your prayers be heard.

I actually prayed the Rosary with my fingers during an MRI a few years ago. It's what kept me calm while I was in that loud tube for a half hour. Sure, it's nice to have an actual Rosary, but God gave us a built-in Rosary (your fingers), so I say use what He gave you.

@@BishopSheenRosaries I sometimes pray the Rosary while on an elliptical machine at the gym. A Rosary keychain can't really be used for that because I have to keep my hands on the machine's handles. So I don't (actually, can't) use actual beads in that case. Some people may also like to pray the Rosary while doing their gardening or working their factory job or something. They can keep count with their fingers, or (as I sometimes do) just mentally -- in which case, I alternate between praying the Hail Mary is English (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) and Latin (2, 4, 6, 8, 10) to help me keep count. In principle, yes, we should use beads while praying the Rosary whenever we can. But I think we can be flexible enough to acknowledge that in some situations, we can pray it without the beads. I doubt the Blessed Virgin Mary would mind.
I also, like some of the replies here, use my fingers during exercise. I walk my dog in the mornings and I find that it can be very meditative. It always sets my day perfectly. I think that as long as you are praying, with or without a rosary, you are still in communion with our Spiritual Mother Mary. Like any mother, I am sure she still appreciates a “phone call”from us.
Rosary was the first thing that led me to Catholicism. I'm happy to learn more about rosary every day. It is so powerful. Not yet baptism, but still in catechism class. Newbie in this prayer. Thank you for the video.
Always have my rosary with me ever since when I was in my early teens influenced/taught by a devout Catholic mother. It´s with me everywhere I go. In my handbag, in my pocket (if didn´t have my handbag with me). I felt at peace & safe knowing it´s close to me even if I´m not praying with it. I would like to share you this story - When I went to have my grocery shopping one day, and I come to the till to pay for my items, I couldn´t find my handbag where my wallet was, so that´s when I realized that I accidentally left my handbag in the shopping trolley outside but upon checking on it it was nowhere to be found but somehow despite of this, it seems I wasn´t that worried. So, I inquired at the shop´s customer service/lost & found if they have some handbag being put away & the staff asked me just ONE particular item in the handbag that relates to me and I said, there´s a little brown mini wallet in there which inside is my ROSARY. Needless to say, they hand me back my handbag!
I disagree with not using your fingers. I often do so because that is a physical action, which is great for remembering things in order. . If I don’t have my rosary with me, my fingers keep me on track.
Next to Holy Mass, praying the rosary (with a blessed rosary in the hand), is the most indulgenced prayer of all. While praying the rosary using our fingers, I dont thinl that the same indulgences apply.
I accidentally came across this video. Thanks a lot for this beautiful video. I am 43 yrs old and I have been praying Rosary since I remember in my childhood. Something that has helped me more than any other tip is downloading several versions of each of the 4 rosaries with sacred art and chant music. Lifelong Catholic here, thanks for the explanation on the Fatima "Oh my Jesus" prayer and it's placement during the rosary, I always wondered why it wasn't prayed right after the Creed and Our Father!
Current Protestant trying to find my path home in the church Jesus established at Pentecost. After being anti-Catholic for many years, I feel the Lord calling me into communion. The rosary, though I have mild difficulties with it and in focusing, has changed my life and behavior so much, I can't imagine how strong my relationship has been with Christ since.. ever.
God-bless you and continue your search do not give up!! Sounds like you are moving forward... You say what many people say who come into the Catholic Church after being in other denominations it's that longing for that unity and the communion up with God to even greater depth you might want to look up Scott Hahn And his wife Kimberly and their conversion story they were stout presbyterians Arianne's and becoming Catholic was so out of the realm of what they ever thought that that they would be and what others thought start I've got it is beautiful they walk through and they answer many of the questions that protestants have when they come to the Catholic Church About the sacraments about Mary about saints and all of that so you might find looking him up on UA-cam and listening to some of his talks... Again God-bless you And much love in Christ
If you’re a Protestant then hopefully you accept the Bible ( non Catholic) as your foundation for faith and practice which is completely opposed to the false gospel of the Catholic Church! Study the Word my friend and seek God!
@@heatherzloty7143 the specification of non Catholic is rather petty on your part. Plus, if you’d really studied the word, you’d know that the church is the pillar and foundation for faith according to 1 Timothy 3:15. Not the Bible
What I have learned is not to constantly check how many beads I still have to pray to finish one decade or the whole rosary. It distracts me from deep meditation on the mystery 📿
I find The Rosary to be one of the best forms of meditation. I have a wooden rosary with fluted decade markers. It really helps know when to change prayers and pictures.
I just found your site l just started praying all 20 decades this month. I have a world Roseary l bought for 1 or 2 dollars that l bought for my mother on mothers day in 1954 it was blessed by Bishop Sheen at the time.
In a group it just makes sense to pace yourself with the group. I agree that the Fatima prayer was called to be said at the end of each decade, but is it a bad thing to beg for Mercy, I randomly do both. Most days I work my way through 15 decades, on my fingers. Is it imperfect? Absolutely imperfect. Is it better than not praying? Without a doubt. Do I stumble and repeat? Yes, actually if I find myself lost I'll do my best to re-pray what I think I may have messed up. I drive OTR Monday through Friday and typically pray through about 85% of my driving hours. Praying unceasingly is what we're called to do. In my prayers I call to mind the Scripture of the particular decade to the best of my knowledge and then my own personal intentions for that decade and try to meditate on those while praying that decade. I'm by myself so I pray everything out loud. We need guidelines for prayer because as broken creatures we really don't know what we're doing, but I feel in personal prayer throughout our busy days praying as much as possible and however you can. All in reverence, of course
These are great habits to remember. I forget to mention the intentions and sometimes I'll use my fingers to pray the rosary. I KNEW it was wrong to pray the Fatima prayer after the introductory prayers, but everyone else seemed to do that. Keep up the good work and I'll check out some more of your videos.
Thanks l pray the rosary almost every day. I agree with the Bishop Sheen Rosary of the 5 things I need to stop doing when praying the rosary. I will try to help others to follow these, too. I do notice some these happening.
1 Praying faster than the group 2 Praying the Fatima prayer after the introductory Creed, Our Father, 3 Hail Marys, Glory 3 Not meditating upon the mysteries 4 Using our fingers to prayer the rosary 5 Not offering rosary intentions
Thank you I use to listen to the rosary while I worked as a cleaner thinking that was good enough but now I will take the time to sit and pray properly with the rosary beads you have very beautiful ones that I will purchase for my family and I God bless 🙏🏽💕💐
I quit praying after daily mass with a group because a lady joined us who prayer faster than everyone else. It totally distracted me where I was no longer at peace while praying. And yes she’s ahead of everyone else in mass responses.
Please return to the same group. Think of this as a small Sacrifice to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Never turn away from a suffering. Endure it in peace and offer it. It will make your prayers more valuable and if truly suffered in the Name of the Savior it will draw you closer to Him. Pray for that speedy person's intentions. Maybe they have an anxiety problem that they are suffering through, maybe they are just unaware of what they are doing.
Very good needed to be said.learn well teach all people you meet. YES NON CATHOLICS DO PRAY THE ROSARY. THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT ACT OF LOVE OF JRSUS AND MARY.
Even in the car on the radio you can pray the rosary anywhere...with or without because your heart and mind need to be meditating on the misteries themselves...that is most important point.
Dear Adam, thank you so much for this. It's very helpful; tip #1 especially. I see group prayer of the rosary to be like a chorus too and it's a helpful reminder to help one another enter into prayer too when we try to be in unison. About the rosary beads, for me, the physical rosary is at the end of the day an excellent tool one uses to pray the rosary and I find using my hands as just that, a tool which allows me to pray the rosary anywhere, anytime, at any moment, especially at times where I am not able to carry anything or I have no pockets. The actual rosary beads are super helpful, but I find entering into prayer using my fingers also as a means to enter into that prayer. Thank you so much for this ministry in glory of God! God bless you!
That’s why God gave us ten finger to use as Rosary. No excuse not to pray the Rosary. God is good. When I’m driving I use fingers to pray the Rosary. Amen
On the feast of st. Cathrine Laboure whom Jesus asked the making of the miraculous medal, a priest taught us to say "oh Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee"" after fatima prayer.
I just pray at the end of my rosary. I ask the Blessed Mother to intercede for me to her son to grant my intentions and petitions I asked while praying the rosary.
While driving, especially professionally as I would drive railroad crews across long distances, I would pray all four Mysteries of the rosaries and I would have to use my fingers because otherwise it would be unsafe to use actual rosary beads. Also, praying the Rosary while I'm driving helps me focus and concentrate on driving and I can still meditate on the Mysteries as opposed to letting my mind wander if I was not praying the rosary. If possible, using the Rosary beads is preferable but while driving, I always use my fingers. Thanks for all the other tips. Praise God.
Great information, these are all the things that happen in rosary groups, and I'm so glad you raised these points. It's so distracting when people pray ahead of the group rosary and chatting during mass plus during exposition of the blessed sacrament
Thankyou so much for sharing😍Let us honor Our Blessed Virgin Mary praying the mysteries of her Holy Rosary to intercede for Our prayers to Jesus Her Holy Son for peace, unity, goodhealth for all😍
Hello there, thank most graciously for explaining, teaching, and instructing us how to pray the rosary. I pray the rosary twice a day and I do do not see a fault with using your fingers when nerds be, I have cancer and have MRI brain scans twice a year gone down from four times a year, while in the scanner I have severe panic attacks before during and after MRI scan, I say the rosary with my fingers and I don't miss anything, like a previous person said god made us and made my fingers amen 🙏
We have a video responding to comments just like this one! You're not alone
You can get plastic rosaries, my first rosary was a plastic one, I still have it, and it glows in the dark
Thank you for your help good to know this things.AMEN
You’re very welcome glad it was helpful!
I often use my fingers to pray the Rosary while driving. Never had problems like you mentioned, can't see why or how anyone would!
I am from Uganda and I love that you are doing some charity over there😊 May God bless you 🙏
You are so welcome! Thanks for finding us
Almighty God, be merciful to us and bless us!🙏♥♥☺
Bless us all!
Thankyou for the guidelines, rosary is a seal of my daily walks... God is good through Mary and her son Jesus. Amen
Excellent way to get some spiritual and physical exercise!
After I lost my mother the only close relative i had, born without other siblings, i went to the statue of Mother Mary and asked her to be my Mother. The peace that ensued assured me that She had obliged. Since then I heve never experienced loneliness. And whenever I visit Adoration, or even a Marian Grotto , or Shrine i experience profound Peace.
Thank you for sharing your experience! God bless you
Lifelong Catholic here, thanks for the explanation on the Fatima "Oh my Jesus" prayer and it's placement during the rosary, I always wondered why it wasn't prayed right after the Creed and Our Father!
You are welcome! Happy to help.
It should be.
Thank You mother Mary for answering my prayers, i love You mother Mary
Current Protestant trying to find my path home in the church Jesus established at Pentecost. After being anti-Catholic for many years, I feel the Lord calling me into communion. The rosary, though I have mild difficulties with it and in focusing, has changed my life and behavior so much, I can't imagine how strong my relationship has been with Christ since.. ever.
Thank you so much for sharing! This is a wonderful comment to receive, God Bless
@@elaineworobey9338 I’ve read his book Rome Sweet Home. Beautifully written and I learned so much from a former Presbyterian minister
Come upon your site. Thank You🐑
So glad! Check out our website where there's tons of resources too.

We exactly commit these 5 mistakes when praying the Rosary. Time to correct. Thanks
Excellent awareness, and great attitude!
Thank you!
All true and very good reminders!!
I have to have my rosary In my hands to pray it. I feel our holy mother is holding my hand and praying with me! Love my rosary 🙏Amen🙏✝️🙏
Amazing perspective, Mary!
I honestly did not know about the Fatima prayer. Thanks for clarifying.
Totally, you're welcome! It becomes so habitual most people don't think about it!
What I have learned is not to constantly check how many beads I still have to pray to finish one decade or the whole rosary. It distracts me from deep meditation on the mystery 📿
Thank you, love praying the Rosary, God is good.
You are so welcome! All the time, God is good!
I am praying the Rosary almost every night with mysteries. But your video help me a lot . Thank you 🙏🏿 and God bless you
Best of luck! So glad we could offer some helpful tips
I find The Rosary to be one of the best forms of meditation. I have a wooden rosary with fluted decade markers. It really helps know when to change prayers and pictures.
Super! I'd love to see a picture of something like that
@@BishopSheenRosaries i get them at St. Joseph’s Abbey in Spencer, Massachusetts.
Thankyou. Very important info
You are most welcome!
And may our Heavenly Mother bless and protect all of you people and your families and your closest ones!🙏♥♥ AMEN!🙏☺
Thank you for all your prayers!
How kind of you! May She Bless you and your family as well! 🙏
I just found your site l just started praying all 20 decades this month. I have a world Roseary l bought for 1 or 2 dollars that l bought for my mother on mothers day in 1954 it was blessed by Bishop Sheen at the time.
That’s incredible! Such a cool item, keep that one forever :)
I think most people can relate to something or all the things you said! Appreciate your comments, Matt.
"From us, to you, through MARY👑🥰" 🙏🙏🙏
Glad you like our outro!
Thank you so much for the information ! God bkess you ! God bless us all!
You are welcome, we will keep them coming! God bless you too
These are great habits to remember. I forget to mention the intentions and sometimes I'll use my fingers to pray the rosary. I KNEW it was wrong to pray the Fatima prayer after the introductory prayers, but everyone else seemed to do that. Keep up the good work and I'll check out some more of your videos.
Thank you and please do! Happy to have you!

Thanks l pray the rosary almost every day. I agree with the Bishop Sheen Rosary of the 5 things I need to stop doing when praying the rosary. I will try to help others to follow these, too.
I do notice some these happening.
God bless! Thanks for your comment, these are common in most places
I Pray with my Fingers while I am on the road 🙏✝️🙏🏻🛐❤️💐🙏
It seems lots of people in these messages do!
Thank you so very much. Watching from Japan. God bless us all
Greetings, Japan!
May the Lord God give us strength and courage and may the Virgin Mary pray for us so that we take up and carry our cross every day!🙏🙏🙏♥☺
Amen!
Thank you so much for the points
You are very welcome!
Love to say the Rosary! Thank you for thepointers.
You are welcome!
I also enjoy scriptural rosaries. There is a applicable scripture for each Hail Mary. Many beautiful ones on u tube.
Super! I love the scriptural Rosaries too
1 Praying faster than the group
2 Praying the Fatima prayer after the introductory Creed, Our Father, 3 Hail Marys,
Glory
3 Not meditating upon the mysteries
4 Using our fingers to prayer the rosary
5 Not offering rosary intentions
Thanks, great summary!
6. No Luminous Mysteries
Thank you. Very good direction!😊
You're most welcome! Glad it helps
Thanks for the points in praying the Rosary. Let us pray 🙏 for peace
Indeed, pray for peace!
Praise God and Hail Mary
Hail, Holy Queen!!!
Thank you I use to listen to the rosary while I worked as a cleaner thinking that was good enough but now I will take the time to sit and pray properly with the rosary beads you have very beautiful ones that I will purchase for my family and I
God bless 🙏🏽💕💐
Glad to hear our video had some impact, Fiona!
Thank you sir and God bless you
And God bless you!
I quit praying after daily mass with a group because a lady joined us who prayer faster than everyone else. It totally distracted me where I was no longer at peace while praying. And yes she’s ahead of everyone else in mass responses.
That’s tough but yes the Rosary should be in some way fruitful for you!
Matt Berg That’s an interesting perspective that I had not considered. Thank you.
@@pamelaschaefer3289 God bless you
If you go back with your group, and if it is your turn to lead, practice praying very intentionally and reverently, it will become the norm.
Love you! Yes, adding intentions now - but although using fingers is not smooth, works fine. 10 fingers, nice fit!
Thanks for the comment and support!
Glory to Christ!🙏♥♥
Amen! Hallelujah!
Very good needed to be said.learn well teach all people you meet. YES NON CATHOLICS DO PRAY THE ROSARY. THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT ACT OF LOVE OF JRSUS AND MARY.
Amen! God bless
If you are not Catholic or Episcopal can I still say the rosary. I am church of God but I believe it is good to honor the Trinity and for protection
Yes of course! It’s mostly just prayers asking for intercession and meditation upon scripture and lots of people misunderstand that!
We are spiritual children of Our Blessed Mother, she is over joyed when any of us would ask for Her prayers to Her beloved Son. God Bless
Please do❤. Go for it!
That's a yes.
Yes...in fact, try searching this in the internet - 15 Promises of Our Blessed Mother for Faithfully Praying the Rosary. You will be amazed🙏🙏🙏
Thanks you sir for saying this. And i Pray rosary everyday Praise the lord Hallelujah Jesus
Salve Regina! Amen
Even in the car on the radio you can pray the rosary anywhere...with or without because your heart and mind need to be meditating on the misteries themselves...that is most important point.
So helpful. Thank you so so much for reminding us.
You're most welcome!
Thank you for the reminders. This will help us focus on praying the rosary better.

Right back at you!

You’re welcome 😊
Thanks for your input Alison! Glad you agree :)
That’s why God gave us ten finger to use as Rosary. No excuse not to pray the Rosary. God is good. When I’m driving I use fingers to pray the Rosary. Amen
Love the content.
Thank you for your support!
On the feast of st. Cathrine Laboure whom Jesus asked the making of the miraculous medal, a priest taught us to say "oh Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee"" after fatima prayer.
Yes that is very common to add that devotion as well! Good!
I just pray at the end of my rosary. I ask the Blessed Mother to intercede for me to her son to grant my intentions and petitions I asked while praying the rosary.
Thank u soo much for your excellent points
You're most welcome! Glad it helped
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,and to the Holy Spirit:As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.🙏♥♥♥☺

What a beautiful video!
Thank you, Happy Mom!
Solid. Thanks brother
No problem 👍 any time!
Praise God.
Do you use a recording to help keep track instead? Thanks for your feedback!
I have a finger rosary for when I am driving. It is a ring with 1 decade of the rosary.
Great information, these are all the things that happen in rosary groups, and I'm so glad you raised these points. It's so distracting when people pray ahead of the group rosary and chatting during mass plus during exposition of the blessed sacrament
This is great to hear! Thanks for your comment
Thank u. Brother
You are most welcome!
God bless you
And also you!
What a wonderful explanation?
Thank you
Thankyou so much for sharing😍Let us honor Our Blessed Virgin Mary praying the mysteries of her Holy Rosary to intercede for Our prayers to Jesus Her Holy Son for peace, unity, goodhealth for all😍
Amen! Well said :)
Hello there, thank most graciously for explaining, teaching, and instructing us how to pray the rosary. Every person does not learn everything from its mother's womb, but from our parents, teachers, elders. Friends and society. Though I always prayed with a rosary, but reflecting on each decade was unknown, akso to offer each rosary prayer to someone's intentions. Very profound and spiritually educative was your narration. Thanks for your teaching. God bless you. Amen.
So grateful for support like this! God bless you too, thanks
