Edward Sanchez That's great, there are people selling parts on Ebay but Dave from Toy polloi and Retro blasting also have tutorials and give some great advice, do a video when it is done, nice to see, I have also restored 3 Speeder bikes and a Snow speeder which I will do a video at some point.
Nice see someone's original their grandparent's bought them ; I uploaded mine my Grandma got me. it impressed the neighbor kids ; I show the motor inside. I had to bend the door contacts to get it working again. I got some repro decals from maddwoba also ; I keep my collectibles in pretty good shape. But the Falcon is filthy. I kinda like it that way though ;
Collection THX1138 Mine was horrible, I did at one point give it to my young son and he wrecked it even further so it went back in the loft, I found it again after my roof got blown off in a storm and it was well fit for the bin but after I hunted down the parts I had I thought it was salvageable and I was right, it is my childhood and I will never sell it, I have a Snowspeeder which was in the same condition, my son was even sick in it but after dismantelling and a good clean I got replacement parts and it is good again, does look well used but it is all there, good for display..
thank you buddy, I recently bought an original falcon that had seen better days, I always wanted one as a kid. I have a few questions of you don't mind. what was the replacement motor called? and with the gun turret through the top I can see you have a clear plastic part, what is that as I can't find any information on it. thanks for the video.
+MrSpartamark Hiya, the motor I just got in Maplins but you can get them on Ebay, they use them for model planes and cars only a few pounds. The clear window is just that a gunners window, these are fairly easy to come by, Ebay again look at Falcon parts or join Echo vintage star wars on Facebook, buy and sell parts and figures on there at a cheaper price.some of the parts are expensive like the training arm and ball and the blue ramp sticks.
looking good---I took mine apart awhile back and cleaned it---I hope you didn't pay for those decals---I can send you a file for free---actually I sent the file to toypolloi too
Hiya Yes I did pay for them, I only paid about £2 for them simply because I didn't have a printer, I have since purchased a CD with every Star Wars card back, decals and instructions, they are not the best but they can be touched up on photo shop, if you need anything in the future let me know I may have it to send you.
Thx you and your video definitely made me make,my mind up and restore my 79 falcon
