I'd love to see a styling video where you only use stuff that's already in your wardrobe! Maybe stuff you've not worn much or trying new combinations of clothes you've never worn before? Also a working from home outfits vid would be cool!

As an American who moved to France and then discovered that not only do the French not like jeans with stretch but also anyone over a size 8 is basically not considered in clothing stock...fully here for your quest for jeans made for curves because wearing trousers/skirts/dresses is fine but I miss jeans!!!
If you can get it delivered to France, Marks and Spencers and Next in the UK do fantastic jeans! They've got stretch in them and they're built for people with curves, fairly cheap and often a reliable fit! Hope this helps :)
I can't help for hip to waist ratio but depending on your size you might enjoy C&A they've got bigger sizes at a good price and still classy

the gap cheeky straight jeans are absolutely amazing!!!
You should try Lucy and Yak's 'Addison' jeans for loose fit jeans that fit curvy body types. I have never found a pair of jeans that fit my waist and my hips at the same time so well.
I was just going to suggest this too! The are made to fit the smallest part of you waist but have plenty of room in the hips. Definitely recommend them!

Ooo, thanks for this. I'm petite, but very much hourglass shaped (with a little over 4 inches between my waist and hips), so this could be a seminal denim moment for me 🤗

I know it sounds sort of like a nan’s suggestion but I so rate M&S for trousers and jeans, they do different leg lengths and they do actually fit normally, not like oh it’s H&M so I have to buy a size up, highly recommend

New Look lift and shape jeans are great for those of us with curves/smaller waists - I have them in the mom jean style and skinny and they fit great.
I'd love to see some skirts styling so doing that soon would be great!

I love the “Angel” brand of jeans from Fred Meyers. They fit my curves so flatteringly!🥰 I got two, one fits perfectly, and the other that’s a bit loose in the waist area came with a cute cloth belt, which solves that issue.

Can you squeeze a portable rail in that room? It helps a lot to store off-season clothes, then you won’t have to fold, unfold and steam/iron again. I throw an old white sheet over mine so that the clothes don’t fade or get dusty, and it looks neater. I just can’t manage my large wardrobe without extra hanging space.

I think I also have a curvy version of them, which actually fit pretty much the same, but I might be a different size in those. I love love love them, they‘re basically the only pants I wear

Hey Lucy, I have a similar issue with online shopping and not knowing if something will fit. Can I suggest taking your measurements? It's not for everyone, I know for some people it can be triggering, but for me it's made shopping so much easier and reduced the stress around it, and now I actually enjoy it again. It's also helped with my body dysmorphia, which is a bonus. Always love your fashion videos!
I find that a lot of stores use a generic measurements page that doesn’t actually match their clothing 😭 so depressing
Echoing Lucy's reply.... The size guides are not always accurate. I was buying a pair of trousers from topshop and I looked on their size guide.... It said I was a size 16. And yet I have 3 pairs of trousers from topshop, one size 10 and two size 12s. So very clearly size 16 is not correct 😂😂 I ordered a 16 for a laugh (and a 12 which ended up being a tad too big) and they were like 3 sizes too big. Size guides are so annoying. Especially when I can only shop online bc I'm 6'3 and tall sections are basically only online.

You need to get yourself on depop and vinted and ask for the waist and hip measurements. I could never gauge for buying online but with second hand shopping you can ask the seller or search for the specific waist measurement.

Online shopping: if I order the wrong size, by the time I want to exchange, the item is sold out. They move merchandise through so fast nowadays.

I feel the pain. I've just spent a long amount of today taking in about 3 or 4 pairs of jeans so that they actually fit my waist. I just buy a size up now and take them in I'm sick of it.

Hollister have a range of ‘curvy’ jeans that are pretty good, I’d also recommend Misguided’s riot mom jeans
Brandy Melville tops last so long because their 100% cotton. Cotton is a good material it last long and it’s good for the skin. Other brands like to use 100% Polyester for their clothes which is often uncomfortable to wear, looks cheap, can break you out, won’t last long and it’s bad for the environment. Polyester is plastic as a fabric. This is why Brandy tops are lasting longer.
Have you tried the Monki Taiki jeans? They have more of a 'balloon' shape making space for the bum and they end up looking like 501s or other straight leg jeans look on super skinny girls. The Taiki do come up quite short though so definitely go for the long or extra long.

The Zara beige coat has a lot if stains on it, you would need to have it cleaned before selling it, and there’s no guarantee that the stains will come out. It might be better to just take it to textile recycling, Zara pieces don’t have high resale prices.

I'm much curvier than you, however in my humble and little experience of buying (95% of time failing) jeans these are the brands I came up with:
- Lane Bryant: American brand, expensive to ship to Europe but fits well
- Levi's plus: supper uncomfortable the first 10 wears, loosens up at some point, looks good, not so comfy.
- Tom Taylor: much softer material than other two, comfy but not so stylish!
(most of the other plus size brands are made from some kind of cheap fabric that they literally paint/stain your skin no matter how many times you wash them...)
