It has always been the other way around. Attack or you'll be attacked, kill before you get killed. The world has been destined that way ever since the founder came into its existence till the point he is perished and abandoned by a visionary leader quite like Eren has evolved into.
Cheers to him as he decided his own messed up fate and ultimately gave up on his dreams for the sake of Mikasa and Armin.

@@thalmoragent9344 Not really. His people could have never been accepted by the whole world due to the hatred and years of propaganda carried by Marley. Essentially, Eren is the one who gave an identity to Mikasa and Armin and all his nation that can be endorsed by the rest of the world. As far as the conclusive destruction of Paradis is concerned, it illustrates that as long as humans continue to exist in this world, war can not be stopped neither the everlasting peace could be attained.
When you protect your people , your rights , isn't that humanity?
I like how both sides see Eren as something that he's not. Paradis saw Eren as a hero, a hope and savior. Rest of the world saw him as a threat and a monster. In reality, he is the true embodiment of what it is to be human. He has rage, he has love, he has guilt, he has no regrets. We see him emotional and we see him cold and calculating. He is willing to kill others to survive, but willing to die to save the ones he loves. The truest form of humans born from the hatred of their world, tasked to follow a path no one else could walk.
I wouldn't say he "has no regrets"... he certainly did, at many points in his life.
@thalmoragent9344 I mean, finding out Eren's complete role at the end makes you realize he had no regrets. He would do it all over again even if we omit the influence future eren had. All he had were glimpses of key moments. He forged his own path, which reached those moments. Any action he takes would have led to the same outcome because of how time works in Aot. He had Zackary killed. He chose to distance Armin and Mikasa. He chose to fight Reiner in shiganshina. He chose to let the yeagerists loose on the island. He chose to let his people and comrades drink Zeke's spinal fluid. He chose to fight in populated areas multiple times since the first season and caused collateral damage without a second thought. He would do it all again.

@@audo1 yes there is an explanation for every single "critical" point abt the ending. I had planned to do a Video abt explaining the ending and why it is good but while I edited the video I saw that it was like 37mins long and haters probly wouldnt even watch it and just hate so I decided the work I put in that vidro wasnt worth it👍🏼

Greatest character of fiction. To this day, after reading a many seinen mangas, after watching more than 100 animes, I still can’t find any character that comes close to Eren Yeager. He’s way more complex than he appears to be, his journey is fulfilled with tragic events and the development of his goals, ideals/morals and personality is incredibly constructed. Isayama is a genius for creating such a deep and complex story.

@@ghabsterlol7768 Yes, I finished Monster 1 month ago, Johan is already my favorite antagonist of all time. He is such a complex and genius character… He is one of the few that can be compared to Eren alongside Musashi from Vagabond, Erwin from AOT and Guts from Berserk (in my opinion).

Self preservation is the number one rule of life, if he didn’t act first they were going to wipe out paradis all the same. Bigger target and damage done or not. As any war, he wanted to wipe out his enemy so his people could live freely instead of vice versa.

The plot of aot is genuis, the unclear "right" side makes you truly think of who is really the bad guy. Everyone has their own reason to fight and have their own lives they want live. But sacrifice throughout the series was a key ingredient to grow an attachement to the characters. For a better future or for family makes them meaning but significant. AOT could not perfected anymore on its development on the different view points that has created such a diverse community on what is truly the 'right' path.

Eren yeager is the epitome of "fuck around and find out"...Willy tybur himself admitted that they used paradis island and king fritz as a justification for the enslavement of eldians and the constant raids on paradis. Reiner, Annie and Berthold were just the last straw

The only protagonist i truly respect
I hate how he manipulated alliance especially Mikasa to kill him. But he did what he thought was the best choice, even though it wasn't truly the best. I hate the alliance who are from Paradis. Eren isn't the perfect protagonist but that's why he is a great protagonist. Somone with flaws and shows he will do whatever it takes despite hesitation. Isayama did something no one would do.
