The president of Columbia University could not commit herself to anything including disciplinary action and ideology of the university. You could tell just by the Congress questioning the staff at the university they are pointless. They actually couldn't commit to any action for or against the protesters..

As an American citizen, I'm shocked to know that our government (no matter who's in office) has sent a massive $450 billion to Israhell in the last few years only, on top of all the support we've given them for years since their foundation. It's hard to understand why we're sending so much money to a pariah country, an occupation that's been responsible for several genocides and is still committing one right now. While they're doing these awful things, we have problems here at home - our schools need help, healthcare is expensive, and many people don't have decent places to live. It just doesn't make sense to keep sending money overseas when our own citizens are struggling. We need to speak up and make sure our government uses our money to help us first, rather than supporting a regime that's causing so much suffering elsewhere.

But yeah I remember I started following pro chess after queen's gambit and then i read some news in the 2022 Olympiad that an 8yo Palestinian girl will be the youngest to play in the Olympiad and then I tried to find both Israel & Palestine on google maps ( I did go to Israel in 2017 but that's it . Had no idea about Palestine and stuff and took my safety for granted. Then in 2024 I checked wow gaza border is only 1 hour from the tel Aviv airport ... They could've come for me if not for the IDF ! ) and i was confused why when I switched between the 2 Google maps didn't change. LOL. I gave up trying to understand for 1.5 years and then this war started. Then I read all about it and ok now I know to Google maps in that region. Imagine if I couldn't use Google maps to locate Palestine but then I was in these protests. Lol. I just knew when it comes to politics I was really to shut up because things are so complex. And they really are! It took me like 3.5 months to really understand the stuff and I still have some reading to do! I'm glad my wisdom and humility paid off.
