I love the clips from this brilliantly written, brilliantly acted series, but I'm not ashamed to say I could not watch this. Seeing Johnny's pain at the injustice and horror of this, I could watch no more.
Count me in too. I just couldn't watch. As more often than I should, hail the great Swearegen, this was the time I looked at him in disappointment and disgust even in amongst thieves.
I felt bad for him in season 1 finale when Al explained him how road agents' job was done with Reverent's mercy killing as the example. He was sobbering hard
@@daemonelectricity Really? I agree with my dad, that the third season's not *quite* as good as the other two; but I think it's still great, much better than the movie.
@@battywattywoo I think I just really liked the dynamic between Hearst and the entire town. I liked Al being a little shook, and of course there's that fight between Dan and Captain Turner. The movie was just OK. Clearly they just wanted to give the show a sendoff, even if it wasn't the one it really deserved.
@@jaroncreed You obviously didn't see the series. It was widely hailed by critics, and had a loyal fan base. It was so realistic that the first season cost 100 million to produce vs 60 million for GOT. Cost is what brought it down. Go read a review or two before you embarrass yourself further. Fucking nitwit.
@@jaroncreed Rome is a grat show. Great characters, great dialogues. It was basically the prototype of the first seasons of Got. Dialogues, politics and drama.
Yeah it's the last episode of the series. Which I've only seen once or twice, not sure why. I've seen the first 30 about 10 times each including something very expensive (the one that was memorable for Wolcott getting into some serious wetwork, which is likely the reason for the confusion). Didn't remember this scene, for which I'm grateful. Gonna enjoy the last half dozen over again now that I've forgotten most of them.
After watching the movie, I think Jen was the kill that really hit Al in his conscience. I like to think Al maybe had conversations with Jen in the years between the end of S3 and the movie much like his dialogue with the Chief.
@@Dekartz Even if he had enough the camp would end up in ruins as a result, i assume that would of been the Season 4 finale as Deadwood did literally burn down in 1879.
What an absurd way this was to wrap up the show -- showing all the main characters go along with this weird murder, seems out of character for at least half the characters shown being in on it. This is worse than the Star Trek Voyager Tuvix debacle.
If you came for justice, and moral.. Then you at the wrong place. Al ain't that type of guy. It was already to late, when the others learned what had happend. If season 4 had been a thing, then I believe you would have seen the aftermath of this.
“You’ll scare her no matter what.”
And then that face😂 “Yep, I’m scary”

"It ain't fair to fucking kill her". "Since when did that begin entering in?"
Classic Al Swearengen.
User name checks out.
This clip distills the essence of Deadwood. Three seasons and a movie: there’s this, that and Jen.
I really felt bad for Johnny when I first sw this.
Never cared much about him one way or the other until this clip.

It really is an injustice that they fed an innocent girl to Hearst just because they like Trixie.
Justice wasn't a particular feature of the wild west.
Yeah I never liked that- I wish they would have found another way. These aren’t really good guys though 😢
Greatest show ever. Period.
dunskie absolutley
The third season was far and away the best, and that's what really hurt.

Why the hell doesn't HBO show this series again? Rome and Deadwood both deserve another generation of fans.
You got your wish :')
Rome Stunk

@@antigonish63 The sheer cost of Rome is the main reason Deadwood died.
I understand WHY she had to die but she didn't deserve it. Poor Johnny.
I didn’t understand why?
Because al wasn't gonna give trixie up to hearst, even though he doesnt show it, he cares about her
@Willem DaFuckedUp i guess he cared about her. As much as he could being a pimp. I guess they have there favorites
Lol i understand😀
@Supanjibobu Johnny has her in his heart forever💔

fk,his was my favorite fkn show yousta fkn watch it every fun time it fkn came on, best gddmfkn show EVER
Didn’t they have guns arriving in camp to combat Hearst? Why did they need to kill someone to replace Trixie at all?
Because HEarst already had guns in camp and even the guns they were bringing in probably wouldn't be enough to win a fight with Hearst

Johnny was an interesting character but he was not anywhere near ruthless enough to ever be in charge of much.
This was a shithouse move by al, I reckon one of his worst
Yeah i did not like this one.
