Going into blood rage instead of wallbreak can put you into a 50/50 for the win. Puts you right ontop of the opponent on their wakeup and they have to guess strike or throw for game if you have meter. Alot of top tier nagos go into blood rage on purpose. Obviously you wouldnt want to do this right off the rip with no meter, but when enemy has like 2/3rds of their hp left? Hell yeah its worth the gamble sometimes.
00:25 i dont care about how much damage this combo does, (which is huge in comparison to a lot of Nagoriyukis other combos) it just looks stylish as fuck! feels like a Sol Combo instead of a Nagoriyuki combo!
No joke, studying the first 3 expanded my mind while labbing with him for a lil bit; making the switch from 623H->236K 5S to 623H->(236S->236K) 5S 623H.... has helped me play with some options I had been working on as means for getting out of the corner. Speed just took lil practice. Comfortable with 5k 6K 214H startup in most cases.
@@DoctorKarkand Keep in mind, I'm a scrub, who can't even pull these sorta combos yet. But like, it looks like a really bad idea, because even if you are plus, you lose half your hp, and without access to specials or the command dash, I think it's betting a lot, on oki with normals only.
@@SkyTowerKurogane On oki you can bait thow woth a shimmy or a jump, you can do a basic mix-up overhead or low, and jeep in mind you can chip them heavily with your sword. it's nice looking back at how people thought nagoryuki should be played, it's incredible how many of those combos lead into blood rage.

00:25 I'ma be practicing that combo every time I go to training istg.
If there's ever a nago combo I wanna learn, it's that one
How is the training dummy set up for this situation? Great vid!
Block all and in counterattack settings after block: jump
Why would you want to go into bloodrage mode? All these combos use way too much blood.
When you go into blood mode in the corner you can do a high low mix up since nago's jump heavy slash hits instantly in this mode.
@@pedrito890 I had no idea his jump heavy hit instant in blood rage. Thanks!
was thinking I could try to pull these off while BSU blood drain is in effect, the combo's blood cost is pretty high afterall
Great video! Thanks
whats the point to bloodrage ???
Duuude, why wouldn't you put the commands visible?? Any chance you can re do the video with them on? XD
I can pin a comment with the commandslater on!
@@DoctorKarkand sure!
But like, isn't it a super bad idea to go bloodrage? Or is it actually advantageous in the corner?
If you're in the corner and with that life advantage you're like a mix (if you have bar) or two to kill

@@SkyTowerKurogane No problem! And sorry for the typos, I was in a hurry back there-
One problem with your video, since it's a frame trap, it would counter hit (the big fucking one) so you can do way more damage without bloodraging.
And, if they burst you will bloodrage away and they can full combo you. But great video

How do you get these j.D combos to work?
It needs an specific spacing and the enemy needs to be at a certain height. They aren't that reliable but it's flashy.
