Seeing seasoned yogis struggling and laughing really brings the practice to a real level. We aren't all super athletes with 100% game all the time. Ashtanga is hard and even pros have off days or are constantly working on areas as well. Also, it doesn't always have to be serious and strict
Jelena you are so strong and talented. This pose is so hard, yet you and David are having a dialogue at the same time. I have only been doing yoga for 6 months and this channel is a gift. Thank you both. ❤
Thank you for all your inspiration-I love watching your channel as I learn so much. I start my own 200hr yoga journey next year and I will be deferring to you for additional learning and guidance ❤ you make yoga feel so accessible and achievable 🙏❤️
Jalena and David thank you so much for taking the time to explain each pose in detail. It would be interesting that you do a video on different yoga mats.
Thank you so much! This tutorial is extremely helpful, and thank you both for confirming that these poses can feel a bit silly but they are lessons in not taking ourselves too seriously.
I still struggle maintaining control in rocking around the mat - and in righting myself after falling over! The positive is that now that the weather is colder my skin is usually dry enough that I can thread my arms through without water. (The studio in Amsterdam on your course was the only place I have sweated enough also to not need water.) Jelena, you made me feel so much better when you took several goes to rock up into Kukkutasana!🙏
Thank you both and I really enjoyed and learned. That was very realistic, though I know you are much stronger and more professional than you show. please tell us about exercises to prepare for Marichy C & D.
As much as Jelena is a joy to observe . . . I would very much like to see David demonstrate more, at least sometimes . . . perhaps whilst Jelena points : ) And thanks!
Aloha David & Jelena! I have been watching your videos for a while now and came across David's interview with Stu Girling approx 7 yrs ago on floating and jumping through. Would you please do a newer version or another video/tutorial? Please? Namaste!
Hi J&D, thank you for another interesting and fun video. You ask for video requests and I just thought of one. I have been practicing Ashtanga for a few years, but always at home, on my own. I would love to try and pactice live, but I still struggle even with non-advanced poses, as my body (and mind) is still not that open nor strong. So I do not have the courage to even go to a Shala in my area. I would feel inadequate. For example, I wouldn't feel comfortable trying a led class, as sometimes it takes me longer to enter into some poses or I just have to rest for a few seconds... Do you have any suggestions for "group class" newbies?
i guess the question is that if one is more muscular is not easy to insert the hands, together with the tortoise sleeping are the primary I cannot execute
Hahahaha I'm on that part of the practice. Felling stuck like s t- rex and ridiculous hahaha 🤣😂 I'm trying this for a long long time. Buuuut I never give up. I know one day I'll conqueror this Asana. Thank you so much to share this. ❤

so sweet !! thx !!
Eu louca pra saber as dicas, mas meu inglês 😂 não me permite😢😢
Jelena, why do you dislike that “Garbha” means “womb”? Just curious. Great video!!
I tore my meniscus entering this pose. I didn’t listen to my body when it said no. Enjoy the journey and practice safely. ❤
Very useful video, I managed to do garbha pindasana with my leggings on!
I cannot put my second arm between my legs. My body cannot do it, despite I'm quite slim and flexible.. But cannot do it
❤
So difficult ❤
Thank you. But my right arm just cannot go in. My right leg is just folded too tight. :(
Okay, here is your engagement comment for the algorithm 😅
You guys are hilarious 😅😂❤❤
The Baltic crease. 😂😂
Are you guys plant-based?
Too difficult to learn this asan
Bloody mats 😂😱

And also the meaning of the Asana. Maybe it reflects something in my life. I think in every Asana you have to get over something on yourself .
